The ride quality is better than I expected for a full-size pickup, and the interior feels modern, spacious, and packed with great tech. It’s clear why the F-150 has such a strong reputation—it really delivers on performance and everyday usability. The team at AutoNation made the buying process easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Everyone I worked with was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful without any pressure. They answered all my questions, walked me through the features, and made sure I felt confident in my purchase. The paperwork and financing were handled quickly and efficiently, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve had. I love my new truck and would absolutely recommend both the F-150 and AutoNation to anyone looking for a quality vehicle and excellent service. More
This is a true story from February 27, 2026 and a cautionary note for anyone considering buying from AutoNation Ford Frisco. I live two hours away and called about purchasing a truck sight unseen. cautionary note for anyone considering buying from AutoNation Ford Frisco. I live two hours away and called about purchasing a truck sight unseen. The salesman told me they regularly sell to out of town buyers and even described himself as their out of state sales king. I told him I was a cash buyer ready to purchase immediately. Minutes later he called back and said management preferred to sell to a local buyer who was financing because financing brings in more revenue. He openly admitted they make more money off financing than cash buyers and suggested that if I wanted to secure the truck I should finance it. Otherwise I would have to wait and see if the other customer qualified. Hours later I was told the other buyer could not qualify, so now the truck was available to me. That should have been my first red flag. The next day their finance team required a 5000 dollar deposit to hold the truck. I paid it and scheduled pickup for Friday February 27, giving them several days notice. After I asked about maintenance and recalls, I was initially told the truck had passed a full inspection and everything was complete. Later I was told recalls were not done and would not be finished until Friday afternoon. I took off work and drove two hours with my wife. When we arrived at 1145 AM, there was no estimated time for the vehicle. I was sent into a small finance office where I was aggressively pressured to purchase overpriced AutoNation warranties despite clearly stating I had a firm budget and was paying cash. Multiple tactics were used to push the warranty. I repeatedly declined. I was ready to wire the remaining balance when I was suddenly told they would not accept a wire because February had been a slow month and they needed to book the sale before month end. I was instructed to leave and get a cashier check instead. At that point I had already paid a deposit and taken off work. Their internal sales goals were somehow made my problem. We left to get a cashier check and returned around 3 PM. The truck still was not ready. I insisted on seeing it before handing over the check and discovered the windshield was severely damaged. This had never been disclosed, and I had previously been told the truck was in excellent condition. Only after I pointed it out did they say they would replace it. My wife had to leave to get home. I was left alone at the dealership waiting. I sat there until 9 PM, an hour past closing. During that time no one provided meaningful updates. No one offered food, water, or even basic courtesy after knowing I had been there all day. The sales floor was slow. Staff were laughing, on their phones, and avoiding eye contact because they knew how long I had been sitting there. A few salespeople joked asking if I worked there since I had been waiting so long. The dealership closed at 8 PM. At 845 PM the salesman finally returned from their secondary lot with the truck after recalls and reconditioning were completed. I was exhausted and frustrated. After an entire day of waiting, pressure tactics, nondisclosure of damage, last minute payment changes, and zero regard for my time, I handed over the cashier check and drove two hours home. What should have been an exciting purchase turned into a draining, frustrating experience marked by pressure to finance, lack of transparency, poor communication, and complete disregard for a customer’s time. Please think carefully before doing business with AutoNation Ford Frisco. There are many reputable dealers in DFW who value integrity and customer service. I will update this review after contacting corporate to see if they attempt to make this right. More
