Sales pressure and words being twisted around I went to this dealership multiple times to test drive and negotiate the price of a vehicle that I was interested in buying. Eliphaz was very courteous in taking his time to answer my questions, and doing everything in his power to work with me. When it came to the paperwork, I ended up working with another salesperson named Dan. Although he was cordial at first, I felt a bit pressured by him to buy the "optional" items listed in the paperwork. I had specifically told him that I didn't want to these optional items (which was a whopping $400 for each option), and then he asked,"You don't want the items, or you don't want to pay for them?" The way it was said made it seemed like I was trying to get take advantage and rip the dealership off by getting the optional items for free, which obviously wasn't the case. I just wanted the sticker price on the windshield to be what I would be paying out-the-door, which would include sales tax, title and registration fees, license, dealer and handling fees, and the 'other', unspecified fees listed in the paperwork. The price would not include the options! Being a veteran car salesman, he obviously knows (or should know) what that means, but he tried to twist the words around by saying,"So, we have to pay the sales tax, fix your bumper, and pay the dealer and handling fees? Is that what you're saying?" Ummmm, no, I JUST WANT TO PAY AN OUT-THE-DOOR PRICE EQUIVALENT TO THE STICKER PRICE ON THE WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR! Technically, I would still be forking out the sales tax and paying the dealer and handling fees, while they would have to drop the price of the car in order to get to a total price that is VERY near or equivalent to the price stated on the windshield. In reference to them fixing the bumper: I had also requested that they pay to fix a chip (plastic piece partially torn off from the driver's side of the vehicle, making the vehicle look a bit asymmetrical) passenger and scratch on the bumper in exchange for my trade-in vehicle. Unfortunately, we couldn't come to an agreement, so in a last minute attempt, Dan tried pressuring me to buy the vehicle by saying,"You're going to let a slight chip on the bumper stop you from buying the vehicle? You've been searching for a week now, haven't you? I saw what the car you're currently driving looks and feels like!" Actually, it is more than a slight chip on the bumper, and part of the bumper is slightly detached from the vehicle. Searching for a car takes lots of time, even if you know have an idea of what you want. Oh, and I can always get my car fixed whenever I need to, thank you very much! If Dan hadn't pressured me and made me feel uncomfortable, then I might have been open to covering the additional costs to fix the bumper if the cost to fix it was more than what my trade-in was worth. Personally, I don't know how much it would cost to fix the bumper, but from what I've heard and read online, I told Dan that it may be around $500-$1000, while they valued my trade-in at $500. You would think someone in the car dealership (especially if they have mechanics there) would have a pretty good idea of how much fixing the bumper might cost just by looking at the car, but Dan acted like no one would know! If we don't come to an agreement, that is fine because I understand negotiations are part of the business, and I can see how being a car salesman would be a difficult profession. However, if I don't want to buy additional options on a vehicle, please do not guilt trip or pressure me into buying them after I've told you no several times! I'm sorry if I wasted Dan's and the dealership's time, but my time was wasted as well. More

I recently purchased two 2013 Imprezas, great cars so far. The first one had to stay at the dealer for a few hours to get a new bumper because it had a chip in it. Since she was going to be driving it, I let her make the decision, but I never would have accepted a scratched car with less than 20 miles on it. I got my car a week later. When it came up from the detail shop, it was dirty, smudged all over the inside of the doors, the dash was smeared. After my first experience a week earlier, I had little confidence in the detail shop, so I only sent it back once. Upon receiving it back in the same condition, I decided to just take it home and clean it myself, which was very easy. I just got my first service done at 3,111 miles on my car. I also complained about a grinding noise the vehicle was making. You can't drive this vehicle without making this noise, but it was returned to me with the service guy saying that he couldn't reproduce the noise. I laughed out loud at this, because it was so ridiculous. Instead of letting me drive the mechanic around, so he could hear the noise, the service desk just let me laugh. Upon getting the car home, I saw that the dealer had put a new service sticker in my window. The sticker said that my next service was due at 67,891miles. Remember that I brought my car in with 3,111 miles. The interval for service is either 3,500 miles or 7,000 miles, depending on driving conditions. The dealership said that the sticker was supposed to say 6,789 miles, but this still doesn't add up... I crawled under my vehicle after the oil change to try and locate the grinding noise, I do all of my own maintenance and repairs. This is the first time I've been to a service center in over 15 years. When I crawled under the vehicle to locate the grinding, I saw that the mechanic that changed my oil didn't even bother to wipe off the oil from the undercarriage. When you change the oil on these vehicles, it comes out pretty fast because the oil weight is very thin, but it also comes out sideways. It makes a decent mess, but anyone that takes a the smallest amount of pride in their work will wipe up the mess. So, I did this while I was under there, it took 20 seconds. They also overfilled my coolant and didn't top off my windshield wiper fluid. I saw today, on mysubaru.com, where you can track your maintenance, that the dealership assigned the service that I went in for to the WRONG car. They assigned the service to my wife's car, which only 2,000 miles on it. They took my VIN when I dropped off the car, how did they mess this up? The sales department was great, which is probably how they're still in business. I will NEVER again buy a vehicle from these guys. Never. Once you buy a vehicle, the attention to detail and service plummet. I'm telling everyone I know to avoid this dealership. More

I purchased a part for my car at this dealership. So I was then on the mailing list and I received a coupon for an oil change for $30. They knew what kind of car I had before I ever got there. I stated there was nothing in the very small fine print about synthetic oil being more expensive. The mechanic showed me where it stated that premium oils might cost more. I said premium and synthetic were not synonymous terms. Instead of trying to work with me, he just argued. I spoke with the manager on duty and he just smiled and told me to have a nice day. I will drive an additional 16 miles to get my car serviced. I will never go back there. Bate and switch tactics never appealed to me. More

I've visited the dealership 3 times in a row. I was looking to buy a 2014 Subaru Outback. First visit, no salesperson available. Second visit, I asked for a salesperson and the receptionist said she looking to buy a 2014 Subaru Outback. First visit, no salesperson available. After waiting 15 minutes, the receptionist said she was sorry, they must have forgotten about a customer waiting. Stopped in today for third time. Receptionist said they did not have any salespeople available. I must come back on another day. Absolutely pathetic. I guess they are making to much money and don't care about their customers. The "Sales Manager" must not care about what his salespeople are doing. Does not say a lot about management at this dealership. I will not buy any vehicles from them, I will not use them for services and I will not recommend them to anybody I know or meet in my travelings. Dan Carne was such a sweet guy. I emailed Dan a couple of times before my visit to negotiate the price and to ask about the cars there. However, because I had such a bad experience with Groove Subaru, I decided to come here for better customer service. Moreover, Dan told me that he can order the car I wanted if it's not in stock. Dan showed me everything and made sure my husband and me understand everything about the car before asking us to make decision. He took me to the drive test and showed me some great specs of the Outback 2013 I wanted to buy. I really like how powerful the engine is. After warming up, the car runs very quietly and smoothly. The car does a great job at bumpy roads and snowy condition. The cargo is large and spacious, which is a good thing for a family like us. The car's price was $27,900 and the price I got after negotiating was $24,100. I'm not happy with the dealership fee $499, but I could not negotiate with them to discount me that fee. They told me that can't be discounted. However, I got $100 discounted with the 5 years guarantee interior and exterior protection. There was one problem with the car I had. The radio system won't start when the car is cold. I called service and they fixed the problem for me. I'm happy with the service department there too. The people are friendly and they know what they're doing. The MPG is okay, I expect it's getting better when the total mileage increases. I use the car to go to school and take my little one around every day. I notice that for one gas filling at $60, I am able to drive the car in almost 1 month. I'm happy with that. Overall, the staff at Go West Subaru was great and friendly. Unlike the people at Groove Subaru, they neglected us even when we came there with our baby. They did not even stop to say hi and offer us to sit down. That's terrible for me. More

My wife and I just bought two cars the same evening from Go Subaru West, a 2012 certified pre-owned Impreza and a new 2013 Impreza WRX. Frankly when it comes to overall car buying experiences, it's as good Go Subaru West, a 2012 certified pre-owned Impreza and a new 2013 Impreza WRX. Frankly when it comes to overall car buying experiences, it's as good as it gets at Go Subaru West! While the entire team from financing to service to sales are top notch, the real gem was Dan Carne our sales guy. Dan was about as friendly and comfortable to work with as your next door neighbor, and the low pressure, knowledgeable, and individualized approach that Dan takes with his customers made the experience of car buying a pleasurable as a Sunday drive in the mountains. My wife and I both test drove two cars (so four test rides total), and Dan was very patient with all our questions and needs. Taking test runs up I-70 West and the Mother Cabrini Shrine road is a blast! We had originally gone in to get my wife a new ride (I had planned at looking at picking up a Jeep to change it up for my new car) but after hanging out with Dan for an hour or so and checking out the lastest Subies, I never crossed the street and got the WRX for myself after my wife decided on the 2012 Impreza (I should point out this is Subaru three and four for us...there isn't a better car in the automotive industry for Colorado than Subaru). Everyone at Go Subaru West are pleasant and exhibit the very best customer service philosophies...during the buying experience we toured the whole facility while the paperwork was being drawn up, met the service department guys, scheduled our first maintenance appointments as well as some agreed upon touch ups to our new rides, talked about coming to 'new Subaru owners night,' and Dan went through all the points of our new cars - from getting our cell phones hooked up to the integral bluetooth to climate control to steering wheel adjustments to radio programming. Keep in mind that as this turned into a 'two-fer' purchase with me deciding to buy one after my wife did, we were there for a good 7 hours, and the team stayed open a good 1 1/2 hours past closing time to complete our purchases. Dan even let me head to the back lot on my own and wander around as the sun went down to pick out cars I wanted to test drive. The financing was easy and comfortable...they gave us some initial terms with different combinations of down/trade/years and we just let them know what we wanted for monthly payments and they made it happen - in fact the financing end of things probably took less time than our decision-making and test driving. As a great couple of examples of the over-the-top customer service, we had a couple of things that needed done to our cars after purchase - my wife's windshield was cracked and needed replacing so they arranged to have some glass guys show up at her office the next week and take care of the new windshield, and my car purchase finished up so late they didn't have time to pull it in and detail it. Since I had to drop the titles to our trade-ins (both Subaru's with well ovver 200K miles on them :) a couple of days later, Dan scheduled a full detail for my WRX that same day. On top of that, Dan suddenly walked in to the customer service lounge while I was waiting for the detail to finish on his day off, just to make sure they had taken care of me. We are in love with both our new Subarus., and the only problem we currently have is who gets to drive what every morning! If you're looking for a new Subaru...Go to the guys at Go Subaru West! More

And Go Subaru West knocked it out of the park. My Wife and I could not find a dealership that would let us test-drive a 2013 BRZ (really). We're not children, and we weren't trading in a modded-out economy car. Through a mutual friend, we were introduced to Joe Santilli, sales manager at Go Subaru West, and the rest is history. Salesperson Wes Guthrie, who has to be one of the most knowledgeable, genuine "car guys" I've ever met, had the car pulled up and waiting for us when we arrived. My Wife and I drove it, loved it, and proceeded to purchase the vehicle without any excessive negotiation, hassle or headache. Tim Flathers in finance instilled confidence and did everything in his power to get us the best rates possible. The entire experience from start to finish was painless, and I would have no problem referring anyone to Wes, Joe, Tim, or anyone else on staff. This is my third Subaru, and I look forward to continuing my patronage of Go Subaru West for sales, service and parts for many years to come. More
