Very timely service in a bit of an emergency. Ronnie and Shantel were both outstanding with responsiveness and up-front communication. Shantel was even communicating on her day off. Worst sale managers in the Customer Review: Fort Myers Toyota – Disappointed by Sales Tactics I visited Fort Myers Toyota on a Saturday morning with a clear goal: I wanted to trade in my 2024 Toyota Tu Toyota – Disappointed by Sales Tactics I visited Fort Myers Toyota on a Saturday morning with a clear goal: I wanted to trade in my 2024 Toyota Tundra Limited and lease two vehicles—a RAV4 and a Tacoma—with a combined monthly payment target of around $1,200. The salesman I worked with was professional, friendly, and respectful. We had a transparent conversation, test drove both vehicles, and he reassured me multiple times that what I wanted was very doable. At that point, I felt confident about the experience. However, things changed once the sales managers, Ryan and Kai, stepped in. Ryan brought out two sheets of paper—not with lease numbers, but with purchase numbers, which was not what I came in for and not what I discussed with the salesman. When I questioned this, his response was, “Just in case you change your mind,” which immediately felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. I reiterated that I was there to lease, not buy, and asked for actual lease figures. Instead of giving me lease options, Kai asked, “Well, how much do you want to pay?” That kind of evasive approach told me everything I needed to know. I then asked how much they were offering for my trade, and he told me $46,000—even though I owed $48,000. Their “solution” was to roll the $2,000 negative equity into the lease deal, still without giving me any clear lease numbers. At that point, I got up and told them I was no longer interested. The process had become unprofessional, manipulative, and opaque—focused more on upselling and squeezing profit than serving the customer honestly. When I told them another Toyota dealership had already offered to pay off my Tundra, give me $5,000 over, and apply that toward two leased vehicles, Ryan suddenly said, “I can do that too.” But by then, it was too late. That should have been the starting point, not a last-minute attempt to save the deal after misrepresenting the entire process. Later that day, I received multiple phone calls and messages trying to get me to come back. I declined. I had already gone to another Toyota dealership and completed the exact deal I originally asked for—two leases, fair trade-in, no pressure, and no games. In summary, I would not recommend Fort Myers Toyota, particularly due to my experience with Ryan and Kai. If you’re looking for honesty, transparency, and respect for your time, I’d suggest going elsewhere. It’s unfortunate, because the original salesman I worked with did a great job—but management’s tactics made the experience frustrating and disappointing. More
