Fantastic Experience, no hassle, friendly employees Like a lot of customers at A-Lux, I came across their inventory online and saw a vehicle I was interested in for a good price. When sent a message of inquiry, I head back very promptly and set up a time to come look at the car. I was greeted by extremely friendly employees who took care of my needs efficiently and with a great deal of care and professionalism. They honored the price listed online with no ifs ands or buts, and worked hard to make the car-buying process as smooth as possible. My car was a low-cost used vehicle, but they prioritized my time and my sale as much as any pricey luxury car. In fact, the salespeople do not work on commission and are instead salaried, so they have no incentive to do anything but help you find the car that's right for your needs; I never felt pressured to purchase and never felt steered away from my comfort zone. This isn't your average predatory dealership. This is a welcoming environment with people that genuinely want the best for you. I worked mostly with a salesman named Jimmy and he was superb at listening to my needs and concerns and giving me any and all information that would be relevant to my purchase. When it came time to work out the details of taxes and fees and payment options, they were extremely transparent about the process, no hidden or erroneous charges involved, just an efficient on-screen breakdown of everything needed in order to update the registration and get everything squared away with the state of California. In fact, the final cost turned out to be less than their initial estimate, which I had already been happy to pay. While there I decided to purchase the car outright, without financing plans, but had forgotten to bring my personal checkbook with me. Jimmy actually gave me a ride to the nearest bank so I could pull out the money from my account at my credit union hassle-free, and in the meantime Dora Prado got all of the paperwork finalized and ready to go, so that by the time we got back from the bank, I could sit down with her and sign all the necessary signatures and initials and walk out with my keys in record time. No headaches. No frustration. Nothing unpleasant. I daresay I had a great time buying this car, and found it to be an enjoyable experience full of good down-to-earth people. Where else can you find that? Their vehicles are serviced and inspected by an independantly AAA-approved facility. Every car is inspected to meet California safety standards. Everything about the way they are conducting this business is a breath of fresh air. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase a car, and I'd gladly become a repeat customer in the future. They provided the best car-buying experience I could have hoped for. We have walked out of many car lots, but A-Lux was a different experience. There was no BS. We saw the A-Lux team treat all customers and each other with respect. The bustling office calmly made everyone first priority. The staff was honest and upfront from the minute we walked in. Their deal we saw online was true. As we worked on our purchase they made sure we thoroughly understood all financial options with no pressure what so ever. I test drove about 5 different cars, which were all priced competitively, but were absolutely superior in quality. You can run into some pretty gnarly cars, specially when searching for a used one. I dealt with Shawn, the owner, from start to finish. He is an honest man. Stuck to his word and never tried to pull one over on me. Even had me test drive the car one last time before I signed off on it just to make sure it was the one and I didn't miss anything I wanted to check. I submitted a good review after driving the vehicle for about 60 miles. Upon leaving work the day after I bought the Camaro, I went out to the car and the Convertible top, Wndows and radio weren't working. about 60 miles. I drove back to my place of residence which was about 40 miles away. Before I actually had 117 miles on the car the top end started ticking really bad. I called the dealership and they said they would fix it but I would have to pay to tow it to there mechanic. They told me they replace the lifters and I went and picked it up. For the most part the noise had stopped with the exception of when I went over the pass to go Las Vegas. I check my oil regularly and noticed after they said they repaired the lifters the oil wasn't changed and was overfilled. I fould this slightly suspicious. I put about three thousand miles on the car and decided to change the oil. I took it to Jiffy lube and had them do it. Almost immediatly after changing the oil the ticking returned and now I am afraid to drive the car. I am not going to speculate that I was lied to because I have no proof. This car was sold as a one owner 92,000 original car like new. The complete safety checklist and so on. When I arrived at the dealership to look at the car originally I immediatly found the A/C was not working (They Charged it), It had a nasty rattle on the unerside of the motor, (Ended up being the starter and they fixed it). The console door was missing (They Replaced it). THe passenger sid rear blinker wasn't working (They Replaced the Bulb). THe radio knobs were missing (They Repalced them). So much for there claim of like new and ready to go. I really wanted the car and they had appeared to fix all that I thought was to be wring with the car. The next day the Top, Windows and radio stopped working (After taking with the owner who said his mechanic didn't have that problem when he fixed the lifters said he wasn't sure what would cause that). I googled it and in 5 seconds found out that it was the BCM module. They probably knew it all along. I bought a new one for $155 and replaced it myself. A few other things I dind't find until after I took possesion of the car is that the heater dumps water out on the floor of the passenger side (Clogged condensate drain for the A/C and most likely why the A/c wasn't charged when I originally looked at the car. The left blinker return is broken so you have to turn the blinker off manually. The security system is not working properly but that is pretty common eith the VATS factory Security systems. Overall I am just disappointed with the car and the condition it was advertised to be and what it actually is. It is not like new and has many problems. I will have the motor pulled and rebuilt because I like the car but I would be very weary of buying a car from A-lux Auto. George my saleman did a good job. Everything else was out of his hands. I was extremely nervous about buying a new car because the last used car I bought turned out to be nothing but problems. I discovered A-Lux through edmunds.com and this was the first dealership I visited. I saw the BMW I was interested in and it was BEAUTIFUL. I took it for a test ride and I knew it was the one. The price was very reasonable for this car, on the lower side of the blue book value. It was nice to feel like I wasn't being ripped off. There was a slight problem with the emblem on the back and A-Lux fixed it right away. I've been driving my car for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. I am so happy with this purchase :) More
