I had a great car-buying experience. Frank was very helpful and made my car-buying process easy! I even lived out of the area, and he made sure to hold the vehicle for me. My experience at Autonation VW in Carlsbad was so excellent that I will no longer take my car anywhere else for service. Will showed the utmost kindness and excellent customer service that I did not think possible at a car dealership. He was able to diagnose the issue with my Jetta and have it fixed same day. I was kept updated by text throughout the diagnosis/repair process and Will was honest about pricing. When my car was ready for pick-up, he sent a Lyft to get me to the dealership. This was an outstanding experience from start to finish! More

The reception desk was exceptional and also very attentive to my car needs. Thank you to the entire staff! More
The smudges on the central armrest have not been removed, while other fixes have been completed successfully. I was promised when I first purchased the car in mid October they will be taking care of, but unf while other fixes have been completed successfully. We were pleasantly surprised with the service we received. We were happy to see that you all now offer Saturday service. We have been another VW dealership up north. We may have found our new VW service center. So far everything has been good. More
On 08/29, I had my vehicle towed to the dealership after making an appointment and being assured repairs could be completed same-day. No status update was provided that day. On 09/02, I called for an upd making an appointment and being assured repairs could be completed same-day. No status update was provided that day. On 09/02, I called for an update and was told a manager would return my call. At 3:52 PM, I received a text stating someone would call in 10 minutes after reviewing my file. The call came an hour later, and the information provided was clearly inaccurate—my file had not been reviewed. On 09/03–09/04, I contacted my service advisor, who had been out of office. When I questioned a proposed $3,700 charge, I was told pricing details were proprietary and against policy to disclose. I was then told I should be “grateful” for the discount and that he could be charging more. My repeated requests for the service manager’s name and contact info were met with evasive, dismissive, and mocking responses. When the service manager, Mark, finally called (without prior disclosure of his name or contact), he claimed to have read all messages and accused me of being “aggressive.” When asked for a specific example, he rephrased it to “direct.” I confirmed that I had been direct due to the delays and lack of transparency. Mark then stated parts might not be available and abruptly hung up, saying he’d call back in 20 minutes. Upon calling back, he said he wanted “transparency,” then questioned the vehicle’s registration, which is under my girlfriend’s name. He asked about “Escondido Auto Recon,” claiming my phone number was linked to the business. I stated clearly that I had no connection. He asked if I was sure. I confirmed I was. He then said the quoted price was firm and that without the registered owner’s signature, they could not proceed. This was the first time that issue was raised—seven days after intake, despite prior assurances of same-day service. More
