HIGHBROW PRICES - LOWBROW SERVICE Brought my vehicle in for minor repair in March 2025. Charged $300 for diagnostic. Told a component failed and needed replacement. Service agreement covered most, charged for minor repair in March 2025. Charged $300 for diagnostic. Told a component failed and needed replacement. Service agreement covered most, charged $200 more for a 5 mile test drive. In May 2025, the same fault. Called Anthony - no response! The fault light went out on its own and few days later. In June 2025, the fault returned. Brought it back, but Anthony was going on vacation had to wait a week. Got a copy of my performance report from repair. Reviewed report - component replaced PASSED diagnostic! Tried to get explanation of PASSING diagnostic from mechanic who admitted the COMPONENT DID NOT FAIL DIAGNOSTIC. It just made a little noise! I was told it definitely needed to be replaced. While waiting for Noel, several service team members were talking about how THEY LOST A VEHICLE! Mechanic was again unsuccessful in diagnosing issue and had to consult BMW Engineers. They wanted to do a 30 minute smoke test and dropped my vehicle off again and it sat idle for days. This happens several times over the next few weeks. Drop my vehicle off. My vehicle stays idle. Of course, I was to blame, I would call for statuses on my vehicle since I wasn’t receiving them and Anthony said the BMW engineers said it was the valve cover, but Noel argued it wasn’t. Anthony called on the fifth day and my vehicle was miraculously repaired with a charcoal canister and it could be dropped off for me. How nice! Right? No! After, the lack of transparency with the last performance report, I explicitly told Anthony that I wanted a copy of all the performance tests, results, and repair plan when they dropped it off. He said that the BMW engineers communications was proprietary. I said I couldn’t care less what the engineers talked about. I paid for the diagnostics and BMW of Fremont had a duty to provide the reports Of course, I only received the invoice and a summary of repairs. Right after my vehicle was dropped off, I called to talk to the service manager. I received a return conference call with Julie and Noel. I simply asked for copies of my performance reports, results and repair plan. I was very clear several times that I couldn’t care less about the BMW engineers communications. I paid for the diagnostic tests and I wanted them. I did not need to ask multiple people, multiple times. That just makes BMW of Fremont look like they are not being transparent. I don’t need a phone conference with the service manager and lead mechanical foreman. I paid for those tests they are mine and BMW of Fremont looks less transparent the longer it refuses to deliver the results. Julie responded that she would send them - ONLY THE INVOICE WITH MECHANIC’S NOTES. I responded that I wanted the performance reports. That I paid for it and that any diagnostic on my vehicle was not proprietary information. A week later - I didn’t even get through the rest of my tank of gas. My vehicle is in even WORSE CONDITION THAN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF! It is making a bunch of noise from the rear when it shuts off that it didn’t make before and it almost doesn’t start. I called to talk to the service manager. Who of course - wasn’t immediately available to speak with. Andrew, did call back and discussed the issue with him, but I had already opted to go with my trusted mechanic due to BMW of Fremont inability to make the right repairs and before their inept mechanic could cause FURTHER DAMAGE. I asked Andrew for my performance reports and he said that he talked to Anthony about what was going on and that they did not provide it to me before because “I requested” the proprietary information of BMW engineers’ communication. Which is a BOLDFACE LIE! (What they don’t understand is I have text and emails - requesting diagnostic, but not the proprietary information.) More

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at BMW of Fremont regarding a serious issue with rear tire wear after their alignment service. Last year, I had my Pirelli PZ4 * tires (BMW-approved) BMW of Fremont regarding a serious issue with rear tire wear after their alignment service. Last year, I had my Pirelli PZ4 * tires (BMW-approved) installed at American Tire and immediately brought the vehicle to BMW of Fremont for an official factory 4-wheel alignment. Less than 7,000 miles later, both rear tires—especially the right rear—showed severe outer shoulder wear. All tire pressure and maintenance were within spec. When I returned to the dealership with evidence including their own alignment report, tire photos, and proof of abnormal wear, the service advisor acknowledged the issue but refused any goodwill support after speaking with management. I was told "this tire is expected to last only 8,000 miles," which is factually untrue and dismissive of the clear alignment setup issue. Rather than taking responsibility or offering any assistance, they deflected blame and pushed me to pay full price again for new tires and alignment. The lack of accountability and the way the case was handled made it clear this dealership is not customer-focused when issues arise—even when those issues may have originated from their own service department. I would advise anyone considering alignment or tire service at BMW of Fremont to be extremely cautious, request documentation, and verify alignment settings independently. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience. More

I scheduled for routine 40K service and said I’d wait for speedy services. I arrived at 8 and was told they’ll try to have it done by 12 or 12:30, so I went home. Around 12:30 they said it will be ready at 2 or 2:30. About 2:30, they said sorry it won’t be done until 4 or 4:30. At 4:20 they said it’s ready. Got back about 4:50, paperwork wasn’t ready, I was loosing patience. I think I got out with my car at 5:10. All that and my car had no discrepancies.! That’s the only good part of this. More

I am new to the Fremont area so this dealership is new for me but when I contrast it to my prior Seattle dealership , I can say Fremont falls way behind . For my oil change I scheduled online through the for me but when I contrast it to my prior Seattle dealership , I can say Fremont falls way behind . For my oil change I scheduled online through the app a 5pm slot and ended up 10 min late . I had to wait another 10 min for my assigned tech to show up and he told me that they don't take any appointment after 3.40pm and blamed the app for being erroneous . Long story short I had to reschedule and come back the next day . My Seattle dealership paid for a pickup and dropoff if within 10 mile radius while Fremont only will do one time and capped at $25. 2nd time around the tech was attentive and did take care of oil change and did a nice job of walk through , inspection , following through with the few concerns I had on the car to earn the 3 star . Bmw Oil change are expensive so for a luxury service the experience left me a little underwhelmed . More

I took the car in for service based on messages the car had. 1 message was :service brake pads". When the tech examined the car and provided a video of his inspection, he commented "the brake pads look lik had. 1 message was :service brake pads". When the tech examined the car and provided a video of his inspection, he commented "the brake pads look like new, so we dod not need to perform this service"/ This saved me several hundred dollars. The Dealer is still investigating why I had a message for this service. I appreciate their transparency when performing servie. Anthony, the service writer, removed the service from my bill and did a great job! More
