Two weeks ago, I received a call that my mother was BMW of Sewickley provided an extraordinary level of service at a time when I truly needed it. Two weeks ago, I received a call that my mother was dying in Butler, PA. My girlfriend and I quickly packed up my 2011 BMW X3—with over 210,000 miles—and began the drive from Connecticut that same afternoon. About 30 minutes into the trip, the engine started making a faint squealing noise and the check engine light came on. As we continued, the car ran progressively worse. By the time we stopped in Wilkes-Barre, I had to shift into park at intersections just to keep it running. We made it the remaining distance to Butler the next day—about 500 miles total—but the car’s condition had deteriorated significantly. I knew I couldn’t risk the return trip without repairs. Unfortunately, every local shop I called was booked out for at least two weeks. When I called BMW of Sewickley, Jen Jayne answered. She listened carefully to my situation and immediately worked to find a solution, even though their schedule was full. She arranged for Kyle to inspect the vehicle. Kyle quickly diagnosed a serious issue involving the oil system and provided a detailed video explaining his findings and recommended repairs. At the same time, Jen identified recall work that could be completed alongside the repair, reducing my overall cost to roughly half of what it otherwise would have been. Despite their heavy workload, they prioritized my situation. Kyle dedicated the time needed to complete the repair in a single day. Shortly after, Jen called to let me know the car was ready and safe to drive back to Connecticut. The day before, I had told my family that if this all worked out—if the car could be fixed quickly and at a reasonable cost—I’d buy everyone lottery tickets. I ended up buying $100 worth for the family. While none of those tickets were winners, I feel like my real winning ticket was finding Jen and Kyle at BMW of Sewickley. They went far beyond what I expected from any dealership. Their professionalism, communication, and genuine care turned a stressful situation into a manageable one. I’ve never had a better service experience. Thank you both. More
