Beaverton Nissan

Two hours after I posted my review of this dealership, my 2004 Murano broke down. The culprit? A hopelessly corroded wiring system, which necessitated both the wiring harness and alternator replacement. The alternator replacement was simple, however, because this particular repair hasn't been performed frequently or at all on a Murano, Nissan doesn't even have specs on how long the repair should take. Since I live in Olympia, I took the car to the Bruce Titus Olympia Nissan dealer for repairs, rather than tow it over 100 miles to Beaverton Nissan, where I bought the car. Bruce Titus had never replaced the wiring harness on a Murano before because they've never seen one fail. My car has been at the Nissan dealership for over a week because they had to order the wiring harness, then figure out how to replace it. I had the car two days before it broke down and have been without it now for ten. I'm supposed to get it back later today. Fortunately, all the repairs, the towing and the rental car were covered under Nissan's original manufacturer's warranty. Otherwise, I'd be out around $2500, but there's no deductible, so the only thing I've had to pay is for gas for the rental car. Needless to say, I have to revise my ratings for Beaverton Nissan's quality of service and overall experience. The car was supposedly certified, but the problem was easily diagnosed by Bruce Titus in Olympia within 10 minutes, so Beaverton's service department should have noticed the wiring corrosion during the inspection before they certified the car. I did receive a heartfelt apology from my sales person, Melanie, and an offer of a free oil change if I'm ever in Beaverton. I also asked Melanie to pass on the details of my experience to the service department. I'm not too optimistic about it changing anything, but hope that they'll be more careful and thorough in the future before certifying their cars. I guess my advice, which is always good practice, would be to get an independent inspection of a used car before purchase. If I didn't live over 100 miles away from where I bought the car, I certainly would've done so and would've insisted that Beaverton complete the repairs before buying the car. And if they refused, I would've looked elsewhere for the car. More

I located my "dream car" on the internet at Beaverton Nissan. I emailed for more information and received a call back from Melanie, their internet sales manager, within five minutes. I also received an email response from one of their sales people at another one of their dealerships within a half hour. Unusual, since I'd emailed several dealers over the past three weeks for more information on a car and never received a response...ever. It made me wonder why have an emailing for more information feature if they never check or respond. This renewed my faith in at least one dealership's emailing tool. Since I live in Olympia, I set up an appointment to see the car the next day. When I got there, the car was available and, though used, certified and in perfect condition. The negotiating process was fair and the staff was flexible and friendly. Also, the car I purchased was sale priced at around $5000 under blue book, which made the whole deal even more appealing. In three weeks of constant searching for this car at a price I was comfortable with and the features I needed, this was the best car I found at the best price. Without hesitation, I would recommend this dealership. More

I was there last night to purchase a pre-owned 2004 Nissan Quest. With my trade in and everything, after 4 hours of negotiations, the final purchased price we finally agreed was $262 a month for 60 mon Nissan Quest. When we are about to sign the contract, good think I catch it, they've silently changed the amount of months to 72 months. Not a single word from them. And when I question it, they changed their story left and right and finally offer me to buy it at $269 for 66 months. What a bunch of crook! I didn't even bother to re-negotiate with them anymore and just walked out. Their sales person was on the other hand nice though. He called me back to appologized. And today, I saw their advertisement for the same vehicle for $3k cheaper than what they told me last night! I guess they bumped up their sale price to cover up the cost of my trade in. They didn't realized that I can still look at their website and found that it is ON SALE for 3k less money!!! So, just watch your back when buying from this dealer. Better yet, don't even get caught dealing with them. Move on to other dealers. There are many other good dealers in town! More

Staff is extremely unprofessional. We brought a brand new 2004 Nissan Maxima in for service (only had the car one month... it's been in the service department twice).<br>Not only can they not "Find" the new 2004 Nissan Maxima in for service (only had the car one month... it's been in the service department twice).<br>Not only can they not "Find" the problem, they have had the car for a week, no one has attempted to call us, we have to call them repeatedly only to get put to voice mail. When we go in to the dealership the "Managers" are either never there or busy.<br>Our new car that we left with them has been parked on a busy street outside of their lot (not even behind their gates) for days with no one attending to it.<br>We witnessed some of the sales men, at closing, walk around to lock cars on the lot and WALK OVER THE TOPS OF THE CARS FOR SALE to get to the next one, yelling at each other, playing music loudly. Then, as each one of them drove away (in a dealer car of course) the sped out of the dealership with music blaring. So, are they driving the cars that consumer's are ultimately going to purchase, and then driving them recklessly? I would look elsewhere if you want a new Nissan. More
