Each time I had to take my vehicle there it was always some unresolved issue and I was charged ridiculously if it wasn’t for the fact they were the closest dealer and basically only one in my immediate area I would have never gone back here, The mechanic are not skilled as the claim. I had to resolve an issue they couldn’t figure out after numero visits back. I could write a book about how horrible my experience has been and how I feel like they Robbed me of my hard earned money More
Dropped off our 2019 Volvo XC90 for scheduled routine maintenance on 10/7/2021 in Cockeysville MD at 7:30AM, picked up car before closing. In early November we received parking citation in the amount of maintenance on 10/7/2021 in Cockeysville MD at 7:30AM, picked up car before closing. In early November we received parking citation in the amount of $52.00 from Baltimore City. The location on the citation was 400 Eaton Street, date 10/7/2021, time 12:38PM, which was the day & time that our Volvo was in for service. Spoke to the Service Manager and he stated he would investigate which employee worked that day on our car. If we had not received that citation, we would have not known that our vehicle was driven 40 extra miles that day. The Service Manager offered to send us a check for the amount of the citation, but no compensation for the mileage or gas. More

If I could give zero stars, I would! If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m not sure if the people at this service center failed to listen to me because I’m a woman or because they are just incompetent, but I won’t be returning ever again. I took my Volvo XC60 to Bill Kidd's Volvo service center a total of 5 times over the course of a year because of the same sound coming out of the front end. For each visit, I explained the issue, the noise and how to re-create the issue in detail at least 3 times: 1) to the person I scheduled my appointment with, 2) to the service advisor when dropping off my car, and 3) to the service advisor again when they inevitably called stating that the techs could not re-create the noise/issue in my front end. Please note that each time my car was in the shop, they contacted me to tell me my car was ready, that they were unable to re-create the issue and therefore unwilling to take a look at anything in particular in my front end, and I had to plead with them to follow my instructions to re-create the noise. Once, (I think it was the 3rd of 5 visits), they diagnosed the issue as my brakes, however the noise persisted after I left the lot. On the 4th visit, they replaced my left front axle (under my extended warranty- I paid a $150 deductible) but failed to even inspect the right front axle, and the noise continued. It should be noted they said the axle seal failure is a common issue. If this was the case, common sense and due diligence would be to inspect the other side. A professional and competent service department would have done so. On my 5th visit, when the service advisor texted me that my car was ready, to which I asked about the noise, he informed me, again, that they could not recreate the noise. At this point, I told him that I would not pick up the car until they could figure out what the issue was. The next day (which happened to be a Friday), my boyfriend went to the dealership and drove a tech around. He was immediately able to re-create the problem, doing exactly as I has instructed the service advisor on multiple occasions. Why couldn’t they hear the noise in the suspension? Because they didn't think to roll the window down so they could hear the front end. About a week later, the service advisor finally called me to tell me that the issue was my right front axle and that they were waiting on the part. When I asked when they expected the part to come in, I was told “well I hope today, because I really need the loaner car back.” The unprofessional tone of this statement, as if I was a burden on them, was appalling. Later that day, the service advisor called me again to tell me that my car was ready for pickup and that I would have to pay a $150 deductible (for a repair that should have been caught when they replaced the left axle the first time). I immediately called the service manager, left a message and was told that he was in and would call me back before the end of the day. He never bothered to call me back. At a minimum he should have addressed the issue as a courtesy to a frustrated customer. I did finally hear back from the service advisor, however, who advised they had agreed to waive the $150 deductible charge. Every step of this repair was frustrating and disappointing. I can say with certainty that the staff at the Bill Kidd's Volvo service center is either incompetent or unwilling to listen to female customers- and I’m not sure which is worse. I will NEVER go back. More
Unprofessional Service Dept Service Manager "Dave" quoted a total price of $380 then charged me $584 without explanation. He started out communicating very well, that is until he stole my money. I've called over and over again to no avail. Left voice mails, emails, sent mail by USPS and still have not heard back from "Dave". I'm now having to dispute the extra charges with my credit card company since no one from Bill Kidds has been able to explain them. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of Bill Kidds! More
Astronomical repair fee for incorrect diagnosis! I purchased an off lease Volvo XC90 with a five point warranty. I was promised excellent service and a premium suv. Within weeks of my purchase, I dis I purchased an off lease Volvo XC90 with a five point warranty. I was promised excellent service and a premium suv. Within weeks of my purchase, I discovered that the car was burning oil. I took it back into the service department where they explained an involved system of determining the oil consumption. After following the rules, they refused to repair the car under warranty. The second offense occured after the heat stopped blowing. I took the car in, they charged me a diagnosis fee and explained that the motor for the blower had burned up after getting wet. I explained that the blower motor had been replaced only 3 months prior. It couldn't have burned up, it was new. They asked for $2675 to repair the blower motor and address the water. I declined. Days later after hitting a bump, the motor went back on and worked perfectly. I asked for a refund of the $115 diagnosis fee, it was incorrect. Clearly there was a loose connection. No refund. THIS IS A TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP. Terrible service. Dishonest work. Deceptive treatment. More
Worst Service Experience Ever I stopped taking my car here for service last year because these folks were so rude. Now I have an issue that has to be resolved at the dealership I stopped taking my car here for service last year because these folks were so rude. Now I have an issue that has to be resolved at the dealership instead of my regular mechanic. They were so rude on the phone that I won't dare go near that place. Apparently treating customers with a little basic common courtesy is not important to the staff at Bill Kidd's. I'll drive to another state before I take my car in to them. More

Another time, one of the service reps spent what seemed like a huge amount of time patiently programming my iphone into the car. Every single man or woman who sits behind those Volvo service desks has shown their expertise and helpful attitude over the years and Vince is simply my most recent contact worthy of praise. When I come in with my 2010 S80 (still under the 5 year warranty/free service) - despite not yet being a paying customer - I am met with friendliness and helped with every concern. Although my car is fine and just needs very small things (tire check, cracked ignition key, new GPS disc, E-ZPass transponder placement, and the usual service work), I have never been treated as if I was troubling anyone for taking up his or her time. I've gotten loaner cars when needed, advice over the phone, and timely appointments. The several men and one woman service staff couldn't be nicer and they are amazingly knowledgeable in explaining everything. Thank You! Dr. A. More
