Concerned about a possible alternator failure before our long drive home to San Antonio, we went to Bolton Ford in Lake Charles, LA. Instead of running a diagnostic, service rep Caleb Voizin simply tested the battery, dismissed our concerns, and assured us we were “good to go” because “Ford makes good alternators.” Hours later, in a two-lane construction zone with no shoulder, our truck lost all power — no hazard lights, no windows — leaving us stranded in live traffic. My husband and I had to jump over a concrete barrier to avoid being hit by 18-wheelers. We had the truck towed to Cavender Ford in Columbus, TX, where staff treated us with empathy and professionalism — a stark contrast to Bolton Ford’s indifference. The service manager at Bolton Ford, Jonny, acknowledged seeing the alerts in FordPass, yet denied any wrongdoing or reimbursement for the $292 tow, $107 hotel, and other expenses. No apology, no concern for our safety, and no commitment to improve training. Ford promotes “doing what’s right the first time,” but Bolton Ford failed us in every way — risking our lives, ruining our trip, and refusing accountability. If you value safety, thorough diagnostics, and basic customer care, avoid Bolton Ford at all costs. More
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES TO THIS PLACE! THEY'RE HORRIBLE PEOPLE PRAYING ON BLACK, SINGLE MOTHERS! I wouldn't give them not even 1 star! Its sickening and sad that the service manager would THEY'RE HORRIBLE PEOPLE PRAYING ON BLACK, SINGLE MOTHERS! I wouldn't give them not even 1 star! Its sickening and sad that the service manager would openly LIE TO a customer about a vehicle that has giving me trouble since 3 weeks after I brought it! I took it in after having to wait 3 weeks for an appointment and having to find a ride to work every day. I took it in this morning with the "check engine" light on and the left driver side wheel was pointing outward. I also elaborated about how when I would start the vehicle up, there was a big ball of smoke that would come from the tail pipe. I also have proof of something being wrong with the "emissions system" that I spoke about. Before I went to pick up my car, I sat there and looked up my car warranty. It stated that the parts in which needed to be replaced for the "low oil pressure" light and the "emissions system" would be covered by the warranty. I then looked at the codes on the screen and it was stating that my car "had no issues" which couldn't be correct because he had just told me what was wrong with the "Oil Pressure low". So I questioned about how my vehicle "check engine" light could be on and when they put the machine on it, nothing popped up? Once I got there, he retracted his statement and said he didn't know if his guy put my car on the machine? I then asked what I was paying for? I was charged this amount of money and these people didn't even make sure their guy put my vehicle on the machine to check for everything? When I asked to retrieve my car, my car came out with both of my front end tires now being bottom outward. My car had been tampered with in some kind of way and I instead of being truthful this man choose to lie in my face. I plan on taking this as far as I can legally to make sure I get justice and to be sure that no one else is taken advantage of by this place. It was the service manager Mike who did this! And I also have proof of him lying!! More
Worst service possible, charged me over $14,000. 00 dollars 2 trips back to dealership haven’t been able to use my truck for 4 months, now have it in Texas at another dealership.
