My Review of Brecht BMW:
Don't use BMW financial for your financing needs. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. The folks at Brecht did not help at all with my issues. Very arrogant!
I financed a part of my recent purchase though BMW financial, signed up for auto debit for my monthly payment. BMW kept calling me telling me that my bank account was closed...it isn't. I repeatedly gave them the account info every day when they called and was still told that the account was closed. Every day I got calls saying that my payment was late, sometimes twice a day! Terrible customer service and folow-up. Brecht management wouldn't do anything to help. I never got a return call from BMW Financial after repeated messages left. All in all a very stressful experience.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
Needed 3 things fixed on my car. Lock, window, and molding. Brecht had fixed all three of these items before. I was told that everything would be covered under the warrenty. After going through a few steps, I was also told that I would be rented a car.

I drive 30 minutes to the dealership and spoke with Kenji. His first attempt at "helping" me was, "I don't think that any of this will be covered under your warrenty and I can't rent you a car."

Luckily I still had the name and number of the girl who said that I could get a rental. I called her and she was able to get him to do his job, something that he's not so good at on his own. So I got the rental and left.

Get a call on Tuesday from Kenji saying they had fixed the window and needed a week to order the lock from Germany. Then, he asked me to pick up the car, which doesn't lock mind you. When I replied he wasn't finished with the car, he said, "Well, I can't rent you a car while we're waiting for the part to arrive."

I replied, "So you're giving me a car that won't lock?" He said, "Well, you BROUGHT me a car that won't lock."

At that point, I asked to speak to his manager, James Baumer. Now, remember that I have had all of these items fixed at Brecht before, a little over two years ago. The last time that I was there, the service dude took pity on me (I related all of the bad experiances with Brecht I'd had) and let me have a loaner while I was waiting for the lock to ship from Germany. James said, "I know that the last guy let you have the loaner and his heart was in the right place but I can't rent you a car while we're waiting for the key."

So I go to pick up my car and they DEMAND that I pay a $50 detucatable to release my car. I didn't have $50 on me. I asked them, "You're not finished with the work on the car. Can't you just give me my car and I'll pay you the $50 next week when you're finished?"

They wouldn't do this for me. It was 7:00pm and here I am, no money and no car. They called the service manager who, again, would not allow me to take the car without paying them the money. I had to call a friend to give them their credit card over the phone. I was so frustrated and humiliated, I left very upset.

Bottom Line: Brecht BMW wouldn't spit on their customers if they were on FIRE!!!!

I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy a car from or use this dealership in anyway, ever again. The people at the rental place said that Brecht customers are ALWAYS upset and angry when they see them.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
Although my salesperson was very friendly and helpful, the condescending finance rep Victor ruined my experience. The dealership deals with multiple finance companies, and he didn't even bother comparing the rates, he just financed me through BMW. Once home, I look at one of the credit unions they finance with, their rate was a point and a half lower. And I have excellent credit. When I asked him about financing other than BMW, his comment was that it would be such a little difference "its only 6 or 8 dollars'. And maybe it is, but why should I have to pay more because he didn't do his job.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
Do not do business with this dealership! My sister and I went to this dealership to return her lease as directed by BMW North America and the leasing company. We were told that if we did not lease from that particular dealership they would not accept it until the following day because they wanted to go home. we were there 35 minutes before closing. One of the managers threw his business card at my sister and told us to leave. The doors were locked and the gate to the exit was locked also. we were trapped until the manager finally unlocked the gate 20 minutes later and threatened us. Terrible Terrible experience!

My Review of Brecht BMW:
I have only taken my car in for service twice. The first time shame on them and the second time shame on me! I was upset the first time my 2002 325i was taken in after I purchased the car. I had a due bill to have new cup holders put in along with an arm rest, pretty simple you think. Well I made an appointment to come in the following Saturday. I was told I would be given a bmw loaner car while the part was being installed. When I droped my car off That Saturday morning they told me that all their loaner cars were gone and that enterprise rent-a-car will supply me with a car, I frowned but was ok with that. However when they showed me the car they were going to put me in I was irate. An older model chevy caviler. I told my service advisor that I did not just purchase a 30,000 dollar car to drive a piece of shit caviler. He said "thats the only option you have." Well if that was the only option I had it should have been stated when I purchased the car and the due bill was agreed upon. Not a promise of a BMW loaner. I expected a phone call at least by the end of business hours on Saturday telling me my car was ready to be picked up, well that never happened I had to call them. My service advisor told me that not all the parts were ordered and my car would be there until monday....... mmmmm I made an appointment 1 week in advanced to insure all parts would be ordered. When I went to pick up my car Monday evening, having to call them @ 5:00 pm I was extremly pissed when I looked at the work that was done and to find out they never replaced my cup holders!!! Ahh now I had to leave my car there another day. The service advisor never once apologized for anything, communication was horrible, I always had to call them and quality of work was unsatisfactory. I told myself never again! Well I was mistaken. One evening while running errands I went to start my engine and it would stall right away I had my car towed to the dealership because I knew this would be a warranty issue. My car couldnt be towed at that time becuase BMWs lot was closed so my bmw had to be taken to a local toe yard and sit there over night. BMW roadside assistance told me that was my only option and my car would be towed to the dealership first thing in the morning. That didnt happen, it arrived there shortly after 4 pm the following day. Brect BMW looked at my car finally and told me I had a bad fuel pump, this was under warranty and it would be replaced, the following day! I picked up my car when it was ready and was very unimpressed, the inside of my car had greese marks on the door handle, the cloth interior on the ceiling, and the leather by the shift knob, I asked them to clean it up for me please which they declined. Not even two days pass (my car being storaged in my garage for that period of time) and as I am driving my car from my garage to my place of work, I get off the freeway, the car completly stalls out and will not start. I have it towed back to Brect BMW. The service advisor denied me a loaner car, which I thought was very poor customer service being that my car was just in there for the same reason. They inspected the car and called me to advise me that there was suger in my gas tank and that was the reason for it stalling....... So if there was sugar in my gas tank shouldnt they have noticed it when it was in 2 days ago? Why wasnt that pointed out to me? When was this sugar put in my gas tank definately not after I picked up the car the 1st time. It was in my locked garage. the total for the damages was 2,500.00, non of which was covered under warranty!!! Overall, Brect BMW has a very poor service department and I advise EVERYONE not to take it there.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
When looking into a Lease, I was given contradictory information than what I'd received from other dealerships about the same BMW lease program. I was given misinformation from the salesman. When I escalated the matter to management, I was basically blown off. I have heard similar complaints from numerous other people. This used to be a decent dealership, but under the new ownership, it has gone downhill.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
I had a problem that was supposed to be taken care of 4 months ago and still has not.. after purchasing a $50K car. This was a problem that Brecht should have caught and didnt until I took the car to be inspected by AAA. I'd left numerous messages with top manangement and nobody returned my call. Absolutley ridiculous!! It came to the point where I was on the verge of taking legal action. Good upfront, the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. I reccommend South Bay BMW.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
When purchasing my BMW the service was excellent. Especially Mr. Guerrero's effort of finding the right car for me was admirable. In any phase of negotiations there was no pushing or demanding to make any decisions until you were ready to make your move. Compared to other BMW dealers in southern California, this one is clearly above all others. Car service is allmost as good as the sales - and they are authorized Dinan dealers.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
Long story short - CPO car was a lemon, service desk HORRIBLE, must show up in person and raise stink before they will lift a finger, shoddy worksmanship, disrespectful attitudes, the works. Stonewalling over the phone then capitulating once customer shows backbone is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Never again.

My Review of Brecht BMW:
The Brecht people have taken care of our numerous BMW vehicles for about 14 years; they are consistently friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough. They also save us money, time, and grief whenever they can, and, because they are also racers, they advise us on how to setup our cars properly so that we can get the most out of them when we take them out on a track. I can't move away from here...they are simply the best!
