As the General Manager at Santa Paula Chevrolet for the past 19 years, I assure you that this is not the way we do business, and I would never accept this type of customer service from our people, under any circumstances. Every day we have to make financial decisions on behalf of a lender, finance company or bank, using all of our Sales and Finance Managers years of experience as well as rapidly changing bank guidelines. We all know what type a year this was for the Financial Institutions and auto loan approval criteria. Bank and financing programs, credit requirements and guidelines changed on a daily basis. This meant that perhaps a customer that qualified for 0 cash down a week earlier, now was required to put some type of cash investment as down payment or only qulaified for a higher interest rate. This particular transaction was extremely difficult to get financed because of the customers credit score and situation. We worked very hard for weeks to get a loan package for the customer that they would be happy with. In the end, they had a choice whether or not to accept the terms of the loan that we helped them get. In the end, they decided that they wanted those terms and signed all of the contracts. At no time were they forced to purchase the vehicle, or use the financing that we were able to secure for them. As far as registration, there is no secret that the DMV is way behind in their workload. Because of State budget cuts and shorter DMV work weeks it is not unusual to go 3 to 6 months before customers get their registrations and plates now. That is why we put the temporary registration on the window that is good until you receive regular registration in the mail. By law we only have 5 days to submit the DMV fees to DMV, which we always do, or we incur very stiff penalties and could even lose our DMV license to sell cars. There is no way we would ever take a chance on submitting DMV fees late. The weight certificate was requested from DMV after we submitted their application, The customer had the choice of bringing it back to us so that we could get it weighed or taking it to the nearest scales and having it done and we would re-imburse them, which we did. I'm sorry that I was never made aware of any of these problems or contacted by the customer to resolve any of their questions. We also have no knowledge of any problems that occurred with the vehicle and I wish I, or one of my employees, would have been contacted by the customer about the repairs because they do have a warranty that would cover almost anything that the factory warranty would cover. I was not aware of this customers dissatisfaction until I read this review. I would like to ask the customer to please contact me and allow me to resolve any issues that they have to their satisfaction.
