Eveyone on staff we have encountered at Escondido CarMax has been extremely helpful and friendly. We have had to bring the car we purchased in for repairs during the initial 90 day warranty period and Micha has been extremely helpful and friendly. Efficient, polite, but hedged towards saving the company money instead of total customer satisfaction. Photos clearly showed 2 key fobs and after purchase only one was offered. I have one suggestion: Our first attempt to prequalify for a loan was denied and CarMax did not show why. I tried another car company and a box popped up showing that we had a security lock on Experian. Once it was unlocked we had no problem qualifying! CarMax should offer the same box that explained why we were denied. I rated the financing process average because of this. Otherwise it was Very Good. More

I was in and out in about an hour with a car I absolutely enjoy. This was the best car buying experience I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve had a bunch of them! More

This time I asked a lot fewer questions. Only 1 set of keys was available and getting CarMax to agree to get us a 2nd set at no cost was problematic. Lexus keys cost hundreds if dollars. At first the salesman said he couldn't provide in writing that it would happen, but to trust him. When we insisted that he commit in writing to have CM pay for a 2nd set of keys, he actually had a form for that. So, why the hassle to make the commitment? More
