Go to Google and read the horror stories about the service manager and believe them. I bet the service manager has lost them a ton of business from a once reputable place customers could at one time service manager and believe them. I bet the service manager has lost them a ton of business from a once reputable place customers could at one time believe in. Worst experience I've ever had with any business I've ever worked with. Don't take your car here for service, and don't waste your time buying from these folks especially if that involves you planning on having your new car serviced here. I've never been treated by anyone like this as a person much less as a customer in my life by the service manager and service advisor. These two are liars with no integrity, and I hope that more people will read and believe the terrible reviews about this service department. There are many places to take your car to for service that don't treat you like this or mess up your car like they did mine while being caught in lies about statements they made. Before I recently made the mistake of giving them more of my business and now countless thousands of dollars from me and my family, I wish I would have taken time to read every bad review on the internet and believed it. Especially the recent ones here and on Google about the service department. And my story was worse than some of those. These Carl Hogan Honda service department horror stories like mine and the ones reviewed are the type of experiences that leave you saying no one cares about quality of work or human decency anymore. My family has purchased several new vehicles from Carl Hogan. Paid for lots of service visits. My dad just finished paying off his latest he bought from them and is dreaming of buying another, which again would have come from Carl Hogan until this. We love the brands Carl Hogan carries, but thankfully there are other dealers in the area that don't treat people like crap. We won't be back to Carl Hogan because of this terrible experience with the Carl Hogan Honda Service Department and their leadership team including the service manager and service advisor. I'm leaving the first online review I've ever left anywhere to try to help folks keep from going through what I went through. Obviously many others have gone through the same as well. You deserve better so please take your business elsewhere. I tried to escalate my concerns to management about how this service manager and service advisor treated me, and when I did my call was just transferred back to that very same service manager who had just got done berating me and calling me a liar for voicing concerns about parts missing from my car and permanent damage made by the mechanic. Just know that if something goes wrong with the service dept that there is no one to report the issue to for help. Which is why I came to Yelp. I never asked for money back for the damages, just my missing part that they told me was replaced (they later admitted it had been thrown away after they confirmed they replaced it) and a little bit decency and respect from these folks. I got neither. Don't expect a good experience with this company. There is a reason why so many people take time out of their day to poorly review this place because folks can't believe such a place is able to keep their doors open when they are ok with their managers and other employees treating people like crap. I had a great experience. Mandy the sales person gave me a few minutes to look on my own with the vehicles, which I appreciate so much. Then we started looking at vehicles in my price range. Between Mandy a a few minutes to look on my own with the vehicles, which I appreciate so much. Then we started looking at vehicles in my price range. Between Mandy and Ty they worked so hard to get me in the vehicle I wanted. If I ever need another vehicle this will be the first place I go and ask for Mandy or Tyshaiwn, if she is busy. More
I purchased a used 2010 Ford F-150. After two weeks I realized I had a bad battery and rear end issues with the truck. Upon return, I was informed that they were "to busy" to look into my issue and told realized I had a bad battery and rear end issues with the truck. Upon return, I was informed that they were "to busy" to look into my issue and told me to come back 4 days later. I tried to leave the dealership and my truck wouldn't start because of the bad battery. Instead of providing a new battery, they jumped me off and let me leave the lot infuriated. More
My husband and I were based at Columbus AFB and brought our car in for an oil change at Carl Hogan Honda. We didn't think we had any issues. We were moved to Vandenberg AFB in California, and brought our c our car in for an oil change at Carl Hogan Honda. We didn't think we had any issues. We were moved to Vandenberg AFB in California, and brought our car into the Honda dealer here for an oil change. The dealer here informed us that the last place to change the oil (Carl Hogan) had stripped the oil pan and that it needs replaced ($428.00) The dealer here, Lompoc Honda, has been very helpful and even willing to lower the cost and even called Carl Hogan Honda to see if they would take care of the costs. I spoke with the service manager at Carl Hogan, Drew, and he was completely rude and unhelpful. He absolutely refused to help us in anyway and just kept repeating that there is no possible way they stripped the oil pan. He said that they would not be willing to help us at all. I placed two calls to Corporate Honda asking them to have the GM at Carl Hogan call me. I never heard from him. I called and left him a message and he still never called me. I finally called him this morning, and he was VERY rude and did not care about the issue. Would not even apologize. He said they didn't strip the pan because they use torque wrenches. He said there is nothing he will do for us because we no longer live there. We can't help that the military moved us. This is the main reason we go to Honda dealers to get EVERYTHING done, even our oil changes. We are willing to pay a little more to prevent issues like this. I am VERY upset with the oil pan being stripped, the customer service we have received, and their unwillingness to fix their mistake! My car has been sitting at Lompoc Honda since last week so we can resolve this issue. I would never recommend Carl Hogan to anybody. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a manager before in my entire life. More
