My Review of Charlie's Honda:
I went in for the cash for clunkers program and found the staff to be uncooperative and rather rude. I was given a hard time about my paperwork, though it met all the needs for the program. Their staff was likely misinformed or perhaps lied about titles for older vehicles in Maine. We were also told that they were open until 6:00 and drove an hour and got there by 4:10, but found out once we arrived that they were stopping the CARS program at 5:00! We were left with no time to be able to sort out the (non-existent) title issue.
Since returning home, I have called four other dealers (two in Portland area, one in Auburn and then another in New Hampshire) and all have agreed that the title and other paperwork I have are in order.
Finally, I found the staff (including the manager on duty) arrogant. We were barely in the door before being treated so poorly. We were ready to buy the car on the spot with cash down and not even given the opportunity.
I would never do business with them and encourage others to stay away. There are several other dealers that are less than an hour away who are more than willing to be of service to their customers.
