I brought my vehicle (2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X) to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs due to having a check engine light coming on and to also get a tire rotation with an oil change. -Chr to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs due to having a check engine light coming on and to also get a tire rotation with an oil change. -Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs NJ charged me for work that was not done and should have been covered by the warranty. -Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs NJ swapped out parts from my vehicle with someone else vehicle. (Dealership scan report shows this.) -They are robbing people like myself and committing insurance fraud with Mopar. Over the phone Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs informed me that I needed two batteries replaced (main & alternator batteries), they then informed me that I have multiple issues with my electrical system with melted wiring, melted manifold, and issues with my generator. (Keep in mind this Jeep is only 3.5 years old.) After paying $1645.94 they wanted 5 more hours of labor and for me to pay a second diagnostic, which I refused, and picked up my vehicle after 2 weeks. They told me over the phone I will be charged $1598 for just the main & alternator batteries since that is what it cost supposedly, even though the second receipt showed the alternator being replaced for $100 (Mopar extended warranty deductible). Please note that I have a Mopar Extended warranty that covers the diagnostic and repairs for an alternator. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs lied about what repairs were done, they charged me for repairs that should have been covered by Extended Warranty and they got paid for repairs they did not do by the Mopar Extended Warranty. I opened case# 86199247 directly with Chrysler who doesn't seem to be doing much at this point. I brought the Jeep to another dealership (Hudson in Jersey City NJ) where it was originally purchased and they said that Englewood Cliffs charged me for an alternator (cost hidden with battery replacements $1598) but the actual alternator it was never replaced. In addition, Hudson Jeep in Jersey City stated that there were parts taken from another Jeep (2018) and put into my Jeep with a different VIN number voiding my warranty (A/C-HVAC part and a PCM). Hudson Jeep in Jersey City stated that there was only one issue they found when scanning for problems, which was the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that would be covered under warranty normally but the part was from another Jeep that was being worked on at the same time as my Jeep at the Englewood Cliffs dealership. A scan report at the dealership showed this information. I called Mopar the warranty company and they stated that Englewood Cliffs charged them for an alternator replacement. However, the work was not done per Hudson Jeep in Jersey City and Englewood Cliffs was double dipping with the replacement of the alternator cost. Englewood Cliffs charged me and they got money for the repair from Mopar for a repair they didn't do. More
Let me begin by stating that this review is regarding the service department, or more appropriately lack thereof! I leased my vehicle from this dealership a few years ago and had an excellent experience with service department, or more appropriately lack thereof! I leased my vehicle from this dealership a few years ago and had an excellent experience with their sales team, specifically my sales person, Elvis, who has since moved on to more luxury brand dealer. I brought my 2020 Ram 1500 in to the service department in early September 2022, to have the UConnect system checked. I was advised by Raj, my service advisor, that the system would need to be fully replaced and that it would take a few weeks as they are “made to order” by a third party. there was also another minor issue that they would address at the same time once the radio was in. It should be noted that I had purchased the Mopar total protection extended warranty on the truck a short time before my appointment because I was nearing the total lease mileage and I was going to purchase the truck anyway. Raj advised that both the radio and other issue were fully covered under the extended Mopar warranty and that I would hear from them within a few weeks. Over the LAST EIGHT (8) MONTHS, I have repeatedly reached out to this dealership at least once a month to ask for updates, each time receiving the same response - “still waiting for the radio, everything is still backed up after COVID. We will call you as soon as it’s in”. I should add that I have not once in 8 months received a phone call or update on this matter from this dealership. I have in contrast, called to request updates on the following dates since the September 2022 diagnostic: 10/11/22 , 11/2/22, 12/12/22, 1/30/23, 3/30/23, 5/17/23, and several times last week as well. Each of these calls lasted on average between 10 - 22 minutes. I have repeatedly requested to speak to the service manager, DOM, who is never available and has NEVER returned a call. How do I know “DOM” is the service manager? Because I have asked for his name and requested a call back the last 4 times I called this absolutely useless service department. After demonstrating a high degree of patience with this service department, having already paid the diagnostic bill and being absolutely led on for months I contacted Chrysler corporate to file a complaint. I received notice from my case managerthat Jack advised that the part was never ordered or if it was I didn’t contact them to schedule the repair within a weeks time. First - I have NEVER received a single phone call from this service department BUT I can certainly show MY phone records of the above dates where I called them to be told that the radio was not in and they’d call me asap. The second part of Jacks claim was that I was 71 miles over the factory warranty and that they may have not ordered the radio because of this. I feel like I’m in the twighlight zone or being punked at this point - Hi JACK…. please refer to the Mopar total protection extended warranty that I pay for monthly and covers ALL OF THE COMPONENTS in need of service / replacement. In fairness to Jack, he is relatively new to the service department…. How do I know this?? Like I said, I’ve been in contact with them a few times. I have since lodged a complaint with Chrysler and have reached out the the regional manager, Ray, as well regarding my 8 months of completely wasted time dealing with this Englewood, NJ, dodge service department. Where I would have gladly done repeat business with the sales department, I will be taking all my future business elsewhere. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! You have been warned! More
Would give 5 stars for awful and dishonest service. It took them 5.5. hours just to give the car a diagnosis for $399. On the phone they told me that my warranty was partially covered. When I got there It took them 5.5. hours just to give the car a diagnosis for $399. On the phone they told me that my warranty was partially covered. When I got there, they denied it. I was able to get my repair for 1/3 of the price elsewhere. Seems like the charges grow based on how much the greedy servicemen can reap in more commission. More

I took my 2018 PHEV chrysler Pacifica to this dealership back in November for a check engine light. I had previously taken the car to my local authorized service mechanic where all regular maintenance wer back in November for a check engine light. I had previously taken the car to my local authorized service mechanic where all regular maintenance were completed, but the check engine light was not diagnosed because they didn’t have the tools or the technician to work on a hybrid vehicle. At the dealer, Englewood chrysler, the service advisor was very aggressive on a $399 diagnosis package (I was unaware that this package was an oil change and tire rotation maintenance package, not a diagnosis) At the end of the day, they did not diagnose the check engine light, they asked me to take the car to another dealership that has the tools and the technicians to work on hybrid cars; and performed the oil change in the “package” for $399, even though I especially told them that all maintenance like oil and tires were already performed a few weeks ago. I ended up taking the car to another dealership (Riverdale chrysler in the Bronx) they did diagnosed the check engine light and determined that the was a problem with the electric coolant heater and it would be covered under the federal emissions warranty. Something Chrysler of Englewood completely fail to diagnose and instead charged me $399 plus taxes for unnecessary oil change. I spoke with Dominic, the service manager, today. After reconfirm everything, he never apologize for the terrible service or offered a refund, he just told me that the best he could do is give me credit for a future service appointment. Unbelievable. Don’t go to this dealership. Save your money and aggravation. More
Terrible service, don't do it. I bought a brand new Jeep from this dealer, and went for my first oil change/tire rotation at 8K miles. The service tech insisted I get a $400 'In I bought a brand new Jeep from this dealer, and went for my first oil change/tire rotation at 8K miles. The service tech insisted I get a $400 'Inspection' in addition. I told him the Jeep only has 8K miles and just wanted the oil change and tire rotation. They told me I could be voiding my new car warranty by refusing the $400 inspection, and got very aggressive with me. Then they said the tires couldn't be rotated so they didn't do that. On my service sheet, they stated that I refused the inspection which could void my Jeep warrantee. What the f#$R#$... Never again. More

The service department is the most unprofessional, disorganized set of people you will EVER come across. A flaming dumpster fire is what accurately describes them. The manager is worse than the employees. Unresponsive and unhelpful about sums it. They've made me hate my Jeep. More
This was the worst car service experience that I have ever had. Terrible effort along with what seems to be incompetence. Details: 12/5/22: I dropped my car off due to a check engine light 12/6/22: ever had. Terrible effort along with what seems to be incompetence. Details: 12/5/22: I dropped my car off due to a check engine light 12/6/22: I am told that there are certain problems with a leak/wiring issues. I gave them my auto warranty info 12/7/22: I called, service advisor said they were still waiting for approval 12/8/22: I call again, this time he says that his supervisor told him that he should call the warranty company since its been 2 days already (I dont understand why he would need his supervisor to tell him that, if he cared he should have called himself the day before) Later in the day I call again and I was told that the warranty company would give an answer the next morning 12/9/22: I call in the afternoon, service advisor claims that he is on hold with the warranty company. I call again later and am told the same thing but its closing time so he says he will try again money 12/12/22: I call in the morning, leave a message, never got a call back. I then end up going to the dealer, 1 week after my car was dropped off. Its near the end of the day, 5:30pm. I ask the advisor if there are any updates, he said no. I then decided that I had enough and took the car, but had to pay a $470 diagnostic fee to get the car (that includes taxes) I asked for a detailed report of the "diagnostics", was told that I would get an email the next morning. As of now, I still have not received that email. That same evening, I drove the car straight to another Chrysler dealer. The next day, Tuesday 12/13, they started looking at it. I was shocked when I got a call just 2 days later, Thursday 12/15, saying that my car was ready. On top of that, I didnt have to pay anything because the extended warranty covered it. The fact that it took only 2 days to get the diagnostics and the job done at the other dealer confirmed my suspicion that they delays caused at this dealer were due to their incompetence. Also, a lack of effort and caring because it didnt seem to be a big deal to the service advisor that my car was there day after day. He was just waiting for the warranty company to call him instead of taking the initiative and effort to call them. For days after I took the car, I tried to call to speak to a manager to express my concerns. I never got a call back, except one time on Friday 12/16 a customer care person called me and said she would convey the message to the service manager and that I should get a call back on Monday 12/18. I never did get that call. So in summary, terrible customer communication, terrible effort, lack of caring about my situation and incompetence in dealing with auto warranty company . I would not recommend this place for service More
I have owned a total of three jeeps in the last ten years and I have never come across what I believe to be poor customer service. Upon entering the service department I was blind sided by several signs sta and I have never come across what I believe to be poor customer service. Upon entering the service department I was blind sided by several signs stating that I had to pay a 3% surcharge. Why you may ask? I would be using my credit card to pay for services rendered. This was smugly verified by Mr. Latchman. However, if you go to the dealership website there is not mention of this 3% charge. In fact, the email confirmation of the appointment I scheduled online made no no mention of a 3% surcharge. I can safely assume the Mr. Latchman verified this bit of information later because he informed me that someone authorized to reimburse me the 3% increase would call me at a later date. My nest issue is simple. Mr Latchman asked what was I having done on my car. My response was a oil and filter change. Check my fluid level, specially my battery. Mr. Latchman repeats what I stated, but took it upon himself to add "four wheel alignment. I immediately corrected Mr. Latchman. Then he said it is recommended with each service. However, right in front of me is a big sign informing customers to have their wheel alignment done every 6,000 miles. Mr. Hatchman states that my car just failed a wheel alignment assessment. Someone please inform me of the technological advancements that can tell him my wheels are not in alignment simply by driving my truck into the bay area. When did the car attendant give him that information. I am very perceptive. The attendant handed Mr. Hatchman my key. Finally my car war ready. Mr. Hatchman who took it upon himself to call me by my first name hands me the invoice for $203. 55. However, he expressed his anger by stating in the document that I declined the following services: a. emissions system service b. four wheel alignment 3. scheduled vehicle maintenance. I did not decline anything. I knew what my car needed and apparently Mr. Hatchman did not appreciate this. I will not suggest that it was racial, gender or age discrimination. However, I will always wonder if it was one of the three. The only certainty I can safely say is that I will not be returning to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs ever again. More
Do not ever bring your vehicle here for service. They run a terrible operation and everyone in the service department has bad attitudes. Giving them 0 stars is too many. I've brought my jeep in They run a terrible operation and everyone in the service department has bad attitudes. Giving them 0 stars is too many. I've brought my jeep in here twice and both times I had very poor experiences. The 2nd I brought my car in for an appointment, they never even got to it. I called 3 days in a row and each time they couldn't give me an explanation of why it wasn't being worked on, but said they would call me back which they never did. Eventually I went to get my car and I spoke with the manager Dominc who took no ownership of their lack of service. One of the reasons they didn't get to my car was because I didn't lease from their dealership. This is a very very poorly run service department, stay far away. More
