I took my four-year-old Honda HR-V for his yearly Preventive Maintenance Check-Up. I requested an oil change, a tire rotation, a brake oil replacement, and since Texas doesn't require yearly vehicle Preventive Maintenance Check-Up. I requested an oil change, a tire rotation, a brake oil replacement, and since Texas doesn't require yearly vehicle safety inspections anymore, I asked for a 27-point Inspection to be performed. Manny, my Service Advisor, was very professional, easy to speak to, and very thorough. He actively listened to my questions and concerns regarding my Honda. Once the work was completed, Manny reviewed all the work that was done as well as the 27 Point Inspection and the tire rotation--which were complimentary, by the way. He even went above and beyond and washed my Honda for me. A lot of work was done and all safety points were inspected on my Honda in less than 75 minutes. While I was there, I took a stroll to admire the beautiful new Hondas. Eddie, one of the Honda Vehicle Experts, showed me the features and benefits of the 2025 H-RV, the Civic and the all new EV Prologue. If you're looking for a new Honda, this is where you NEED to go. I went in with the date that I had scheduled on the Honda app and they told me that I needed to call first to confirm if they even had the piece. I took my 2025 CR-V in for its first service. They changed the oil and rotated the tires. After leaving, I noticed that I could hear a noise being made by one of the tires. It was a rhythmic noise that would occur with the turning of the tire. I assumedt the tire was out of balance. I called the dealership and asked if they balance the tires when they rotate them and explained the noise. The gentleman on the phone was helpful and said to bring it back in so they take a look at it and change out the tire if they needed to. So I go back, and they find like a weird low spot or something on the tire , and they say that it is ffrom us stopping hard or braking hard or something. They explain that when it was on the rear of the vehicle, we didn’t notice the noise, but once they moved it to the front of the vehicle, that’s when we could notice the noise. Despite what the gentleman on the phone told me, they now claimed there was nothing they could do for us other than sell us a new tire. They said we didn’t have any tire protection with our CR-V. I never had this issue with any of my Toyotas. Or actually any vehicles I’ve owned for that matter. I don’t recall stopping hard and anyway, and I don’t see how that could cause a problem on the tire. The dealership should’ve covered it. IIt was our first maintenance. It’s a brand new vehicle. I don’t think too highly of Clark Knapp or Honda at this point. I should’ve gotten anothert Toyota at Toyota of Pharr where I’ve gotten my other vehicles. More
