Had a very nice and smooth business with this dealership even this is the first time to buy a used car from other state. Kaylin - Business Development Manager was very patient and helpful in our first communications. The dealership also arranged a staff to pick me up at the airport and bring me into the dealer. Jermaine - salesman was very nice and helpful in responding to all of my questions. Both Kaylin and Jermaine seem to do extra works/offers to ensure their customer leaving the dealer with satisfaction. Chris at Finance department is also a nice gentleman to work with. Thank you all! Purchasing Pilot w/ Brandon-Blue Shoe Honda Dude I initially meet Brandon at the Jefferson City Fourth of July celebration going on downtown. Brandon was displaying the brand new 16' Pilot which was super awesome! I had a 14' Toyota Highlander that I was very happy with but I also own an 04' Odyssey and prior to that a 99' Accord. So needless to say...I'm a true Honda girl! Brandon was passing out his BlueShoeDude towels with his business contact info. on them. As I walked away I couldn't help but think, wow, I need to see Brandon about trading my sweet Highlander for the Pilot. Needless to say, my experience with purchasing my 2016 Honda Pilot was made very easy and attainable with Brandon's superior customer service! Brandon is a super nice guy and knows his business! More
Not Truthful or Trustworthy After reading several outstanding reviews on various websites, I decided to negotiate a car price over the phone for a certified used 2013 Honda CRV. After reading several outstanding reviews on various websites, I decided to negotiate a car price over the phone for a certified used 2013 Honda CRV. I asked for assessories to be included along with an extra key. When we got to the dealership, the accessories were installed. My first clue that something was different with this dealership occured when the salesman presented us with 2 keys. He said key number 2 was the extra key I had negotiated. We told him we expected 3 keys. He promised to get right on it. The salesman said the car had not been detailed, so we had to wait. We thought we were waiting for a key and detailing. When we were escorted into finacing, we were told the car did not have an extended warranty. We protested that we bought a Certified Used Honda. I even wrote the word Certified on the sales contract because I was starting to get nervous about what was promised and what we were getting. When we handed over the check, we were given 2 keys, not 3. Then I wrote on the contract that an extra key was included in the deal. Our salesman said the key was not ready and he would mail the key to us. We drove away in a car that did not have a full tank of gas. The next day I noticed that the sunvisor was broken on the drivers side and the fog lamp was cracked on the passenger side. I read through my paper work, and it clearly states that a Certified Used Car goes through an inspection, and they replace any broken items with genuine Honda parts. I took pictures and then texted them to our salesman Caleb White. He said he would send us a check for $170.00 along with the key. After over a dozen texts and phone calls, three weeks later we got a key in the mail that does not open the car door. A check for $170.00 was included in the envelope. I texted Caleb and he told me that the key needed to be programmed. I called a local dealer's service department and was told that the door is mechanical. If the key does not open the door, it won't start the car. The local dealer will cut a valet key and program it for $145. The fog lamp costs $300 to replace. I did not get an estimate on the sun visor. This is such a nuisance. I called Caleb White, I called his boss, Mike Miller, I even called Keith in finance, since he gave me his card and said to call him if I needed anything. None of these people called me back. I finally called Honda Cars of America to open a dealer complaint with them. It's been a month, and I do not have the extra key that was written in the contract. My best advise is to avoid this dealership. There are many great Honda dealers that treat their customers well. I love the car and despise this dealership. More

Good deal, with a good deal of effort I walked in one day after work knowing the car I wanted if the price was right-- and was prepared to pay in cash. Initially I was quoted $500 over the price listed on the website, but that was quickly remedied. The test drive confirmed my impression from the online ad, and I was able to complete the purchase then and there before closing. Overall, the sale was very easy-- however, it's the service after the sale that fell short. One thing that wasn't dealt with well was the funny smell in the car, which was originally attributed by the salesperson to the cleaning chemicals they used (which were actually an attempt to mask the smoke from the previous owner). Once this faded, it became clear what the real issue was. When this was brought to their attention after the sale, they immediately took it back to address the issue. Turns out, however, the 'fix' was to place 5-6 incredibly powerful air freshener squares hidden inside the car seats. Needless to say, the smell returned. After paying over $100 for a private detailer to address the problem, we have a great-smelling car that we love. More

So I walked the lot with Morgan and I came across a 06 Nissan Xterra, test drove it, and I loved it! The negotiating was a big part of this whole deal and after debating my price range and what I could afford these guys made it work, when I didn't have much hope left! And got the payment UNDER my budget amend knocked the deal out of the park!! They all went above and beyond for me! There is no doubt I wouldn't recommend them to someone and no doubt I'll be back! Our original buying experience was absolutely terrible. However, upon publishing this review, I was contacted by managers (I had tried calling a few times and not gotten a response) who expressed willingness to work with me to make things right. They looked into a few options and we ended up returning the vehicle and switching it out for a vehicle that did have the characteristics we wanted. This time, we worked with Brandon Kaufman, who was simply wonderful to work with. He willingly looked up additional details, answered all questions we had, and gave us plenty of time to inspect the vehicle as well as a zero pressure environment to make our final decision. He was also willing to go above and beyond to get the vehicle to us in a timely manner. I honestly don't know which experience is more typical, but I am amending my stance from "we will never use this dealership again" to "we may be willing to use this dealership again"-but only if we can work with a known entity. Additionally, they were willing to refund our key purchase, which I appreciate-this was just a tiny part of the reason we were unhappy before, but the gesture is appreciated. We will not return to this dealership. We made an appointment to look at specific vehicles. When we arrived neither of the ones we specifically requested was available. We liked the one we looked at so decide to purchase. We felt very pressured by our sales person to make a quick decision so we took his word on some safety features of the vehicle. This was obviously our mistake-we should have double checked. As it turns out he lied to us about several features that were very important to us. Now we are stuck with a vehicle that does not have features we wanted. I would definitely say buyer should beware at this dealership. Don't believe a thing they tell you even about standard features on a certain vehicle model. Small annoyances that just reflect very poor customer service and an attempt to nickel and dime the customer- we were given only 1 key and told we will have to pay >$100 for additional keys, and the car was given to us on an empty gas tank. We will not return to this dealership next time we need a vehicle but instead will drive to St Louis or even another state if needed as we are very dissatisfied with the sales experience, lack of customer service, and vehicle. While i was nervous at first to get my car fixed by a dealership, since i have a whole family full of mechanics back home that have always told all the horrors stories, i was quickly relieved but how myself and my vehicle were taken care of. I would highly recommended Columbia Honda again. More
