There was a delay in getting the car, due to a misunderstanding by the salesman about the clear coat film. Then the clear coat film had a bubble and had to be redone. The wait to see the finance manager was very long, even though the dealership knoew what time we would be there. Tyler was very accomodating. However, the e-mails and letters sent by Cooughlin are not at all personalized, and should be. We received this survey several days before we received our car! We are accustomed to the service we have received from Lexus. Do we need to lower our espectations with Coughlin Toyota? More

I expected the sales team member to know entirely everything about the car inside and out. The sales associate was good with following up via phone calls and tried to be helpful as much as possible before I purchased the vehicle. The dealership was laid back, but there were employees eating on the sales floor, when they shouldn't be seen in front of customers. The general manager and fiance staff were eager to help and were friendly. The fiance department aimed to meet my requirements in the end, but the paperwork was fast and pushy which resulted in my car payment not being what I was told when I went to sign on the dotted line. Finally after driving the vehicle off the lot, I noticed an unusual noise after accelerating to 30 mph. I felt the noise to be unusual given the fact it's a brand new vehicle, however I was disappointed but did not wanted to jump to conclusions. After contacting Nissan and researching online, I was informed this was a manufacture problem and basically there is no solution to fix this issue yet. I would have appreciated any insight or warning before I made my purchase. I wouldn't have minded the issue if I was informed and not felt as if I made a mistake. I am satisfied with the features on the vehicle, but I am not 100% fully satisfied with my purchase. More

Mike was very friendly. He answered my call when he was out of the office and even when he was home sick in bed. Charlie was very nice. He returned my calls...all of them. He answered my many questions and went above and beyond in helping me even with additions to the car that had to be done where I lived which he did not have to do. Jeremy explained all the services offered by toyota in detail. We did not understand the actual charges and the actual interest rate of our contract and he called and ask what he could do to help. He took the time to make calls and see what was needed to help us out. I was very happy with all the end results of our experience with Coughlin in Newark. I wish we lived closer so we could see how your service department is..but, living in West Virginia, that is not possible. And, it says something about the place...we drove 3 1/2 hours to do business with them. We love our car...and we are very excited. Thanks again, Carol and Jeff Taylor :) More

Overall, I am satisfied with my experience especially with my salesperson. However, I am not happy with my purchase. When I first looked at the truck I purchased, I voiced a concern about the unusually high tire tread wear compared to the number of miles on the truck. My concern was forgotten due to the unusual time it took to perform all the necessary paperwork. Before I came back to complete the paperwork, I called and voiced my concern again. I was told by the manager that this should have been addressed earlier and that he would not make any further arrangements due to the amount that was taken off the sale price and the amount that was added to my trade-in. I told them I had voiced my concern earlier and the sales person confirmed this and regardless, I thought it was horrible that I was going to have to spend a substantial amount of money putting tires on a vehicle I just purchased and payed almost $30,000 for. I made several other calls and was told to call back when a particular manager was there but I have been unable to reach anybody willing to help. I would appreciate any help I can receive on this matter. Thank you so much. Eric K. Ludwig After receiving calls from several members of the Coughlin's management team, it was obvious they were more than willing to do whatever they could to correct any problems or concerns I had with my purchase. They agreed to sell me tires at cost and then split the total bill with me. They ordered me a good quality set of tires and scheduled a time to have them installed. I feel much better now about my purchase knowing I will not have to spend a great deal of money on tires in the near future. Tyler was great to work with at the Toyota store and I feel like I got a fair price. Working out the finance part with Tim took longer than it should have and I would have like to have seen more options feel like I got a fair price. However, at the end of the day, my family and I are happy with our new purchase and would recommend the dealership to anyone. More
I looked far and wide on the internet for a used car for my daughter.
