I went to this dealership to purchase a luxury SUV, the salesman I initially spoke to was Tony who despite this bad review was the most helpful person at Courtesy. He was always interested in helping me and to do his job of selling the car to me - we agreed on a price after some negotiation and I thought that was the end of things only to have a guy called Scott jump on the line and tell me that he can't sell the car for as low a price as we'd agreed and in a very pushy and arrogant manner started to insist I pay more, at that point I said forget it I want my refund back and then Scott gave up and sold me the car at the price agreed. When I go to pick the car up I notice a few things about the car that haven't been mentioned until after I agreed to buy. The car didn't have the set of car mats that came with it, it had no 2nd key, the central cupholder console lid does not stay closed and there is no car manual or vehicle service history. To top it off the dealership doesn't fill the tanks of used cars so if you're lucky you'll have enough to get the nearest gas station. The price I agreed originally also contained the dealer documentation fee but when I got to the dealer they tried to suggest it was on top of what we agreed - if you ever have to use this dealer get your deals noted down or recorded as they will try to worm their way out of anything they can. I purchased a luxury vehicle that is supposed to be one of the safest vehicles on the road which every other day something was going wrong with. I'd take the car in for service and they would tell me that they could not duplicate the problem when I told them exactly how to duplicate it. Finally it got to the point where I was on a first name basis with the service manager as well as the GM. I made them get in the vehicle with me and I would duplicate the problem just like they told me and they would act astonished. Ridiculous. Too boot, they told me that I need to realize that I purchased a non-mitsubishi vehicle. Maybe they should consider selling only Mitsubishi products if they don't have the knowledge to stand up to their warranty. Also, when I purchased the vehicle, I didn't actually sign for the car. I drove off the lot and did not sign for the car for almost a week. They also illegally transferred plates from my leased vehicle to this car. ILLEGAL. I had to go to the dmv and get temporary plates in fear of being pulled over because of the stupidity of the management at this dealership. Furthermore, about 1 and 1/2 years later we still have not resolved this case. I won in arbitration and the dealerships attorney appealed the decision because they felt bullied by the arbitrator. The arbitrator basically told them they were very unprofessional and should pay me. So since August of 2007, we have been trying to get this appeal going. Appeared before the judge in Superior Court for the motion hearing for the appeal and the dealership was told that if they pursue this any further, they are subject to paying me damages in the amount of 3 times what I paid for the vehicle. They agreed. The next thing I know, I receive paperwork saying the dealerships attorney needs to be taken off the case because of an illness. The new attorney says he doesn't want to appeal and that it was ridiculous that they had in the first place and after paying full coverage insurance and car payments for a car I have not driven for over a year, they are trying to get away without paying any damages. This lemon law is not for the consumer. Absolutely ridiculous. Just based on my experiences with Courtesy between sales, service, and management, I bet any money that they planned all this in hopes that I would give up. I've read online that 97% of lemon law cases are dropped by the consumer because of costs. Absolutely ridiculous. I can completely see this. Thankfully I am fortunate enough that I can fight this battle. I wish all the best to anyone else who is going through this. Think twice, three times, even four before purchasing from this dealership. I know the incentives are great, but in the end, it's really not worth it. I don’t really recommend this dealership to anyone.That was my first experience with them and for sure it will be the last. I bought a used car with very low mileage and the dealer said it was fully servi was my first experience with them and for sure it will be the last. I bought a used car with very low mileage and the dealer said it was fully serviced and it would need nothing at all. They promised a 90 day warranty but when I went there 2 days later to sign the papers they changed that to 60 days only, you know why? They drove it some extra miles so it won’t fall in the range of 90 day warranty mileage condition. I didn’t accept that so the sales representative promised to resolve the issue but he never did. The so called low mileage fully serviced car turned to be a piece of junk after only 2 weeks of purchasing it, the mechanic who checked it later told me that car was abused like xxxx, bent rims (from the inside ), rotors and brakes are totally gone, ball joints and all other safety concern parts needs to be replaced. The surprising that at the time I had the test drive it didn’t have any indication for such issues (typical ?). The car didn’t even have a lug wrench in the trunk, the dealer even broke the mount of my spare tire while trying to look for the wrench, they promised to get me one and I had to chase them for a week for that before I decide to forget it and buy it myself since it’s no big deal after all my other losses. The staff are not friendly at all, you feel like they are doing you a favor for selling you one of their cars. Bottom line, I advise you to go buy a car anywhere else and save your money and dignity. I am wondering how these guys are still in business if that’s the kind of service they offer. More
