My Review of Dave Walter Volkswagen:
I received the worst service from the Service Manager herself that I have ever gotten anywhere in my life, quite simply. I had a legitimate concern about a charge that I was told would not be charged, which indeed was then charged anyway, and was treated as though I was the most ridiculous thing she's ever had to deal with because I had the audacity to question her on something. She told me there were many things she just 'doesn't have to tell me' in regard to my concern that I wasn't properly informed up front about certain charges. Then, upon very rudely and roundly telling me that the transaction would now be 'cash only,' she hung up the phone on me. Cash only? Because I questioned a charge? Since this is not only unprofessional but illegal (as she wasn't going to release my car until I showed up, cash in hand)I called back again to talk to the General Manager about such practices and was instead transferred to a salesman who pretended to be the manager. At this point I was really not sure if I was dealing with professionals or troubled high school kids. This is very clearly not the kind of people you would EVER want to deal with if you have a choice in the matter. Please save yourself much aggravation and stress and go elsewhere!

My Review of Dave Walter Volkswagen:
I've been going to the dealer for about 3 years now after an exhausting experience at another dealer. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences. Not only being treated with courtesy and respect, they have always taken the best care of my Passat. Julie is alway a pleasure and now Lydia too. I will always own a Volkswagen, as long as the two of them are taking care of my vehicle. And my next Volkswagen purchase is coming soon, so I'll be in!

My Review of Dave Walter Volkswagen:
Service manager was unable/unwilling to explain problems with a recurring problem - blamed it on abuse/negligence of the car. (absolutely not the case) She was extremely rude, acting as if she was just too busy to explain.

On another occasion, when repairs were done without authorization, they actually went back and re-broke the repair.

Never will go back for service. Next VW bought from another dealer.

My Review of Dave Walter Volkswagen:
The Service Manager at first refused to accept a coupon on a 40k mile maintenance check-up because, according to her, I was required to present the coupon at "write-up." When I informed her that the policy is not written on the website or on the coupons themselves, and that other service personnel I spoke with before the visit did not inform me of the policy, she rudely relented and began noisily reworking the paperwork. The policy is only written at the service center desk at the dealership and nowhere else. So any customer who uses the website or calls in for an appointment cannot have knowledge of the policy and could have a rude awakening when the time comes to pay. In short, the Service Manager was extremely rude, inflexible, and has limited understanding of customer service.

This place is a scam market. Dave Walter himself called me a LIER.
GET EVERY DETAIL IN WRITING!
They said my car would have a full tank of gas...didn't
They said my car had 2 FOBS....didn't
They said my car would be detailed...wasn't

When I brought this up to the owner...he said TOUGH!

My Review of Dave Walter Volkswagen:
Long story. I'll keep it short.

Took my '01 Jetta in for service and diagnosis.

Paid $1500+ in cash for services.

One mile away, exact problem reoccurs. Have to wait several days for reservice.

Notice many other items that were paid for in 60k service were not done. They also killed my battery, forcing me to buy a new one. They also tweaked my antenna, killing my radio reception.

They tried to charge me another $540+ for a different part and it the labor. (This means it didn't need the original parts they replaced since the problem that recurred was exactly the same as before the service) Would not negotiate on pricing. Assaulted me by ripping the key out of my hand and breaking my keychain.

Would not listen to what I was saying. I wrote a letter and reported to the BBB. No answer, yet.
