NEVER AGAIN! Back to Ford I go In June 2016 I decided to buy a truck to replace my Expedition. I ended up at Dempsey Dodge in Plano,IL. Huge mistake! I purchased a 2012 Ram 1500 C In June 2016 I decided to buy a truck to replace my Expedition. I ended up at Dempsey Dodge in Plano,IL. Huge mistake! I purchased a 2012 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Outdoors man Package(nice truck) In the 2 months I had it, it was in the shop (6) times. The service dept. could not figure out what was wrong with the truck, so they offered to trade me out of it.The issue there was they had nothing fitting my budget and I had to come up with another 10k or keep a truck that had issues they could not fix and I had only had for 2 months. Services I was told had been completed before my purchasing of it, had not been completed. I took their offer to trade out, went 10k deeper on a truck and 50% more than I had budgeted for. All seemed well until Jan 2017. The first week of Jan I took the truck in for an oil change, updates and to have them check a noise from the engine. This was at about 74,000 miles on 5.7l hemi. I was informed the engine needed to be replaced. Dempsey had the truck for the entire month of Jan to replace the engine. When got the truck back it was missing the headers it had on it when I dropped it off, leaked oil and had a bad tensioner pulley. I had it for 1 week and returned it to Dempsey for repair of their incompetence. Three weeks later I am told it is ready for pick up. I was informed they had replaced the missing headers fixed the oil leak and tensioner pulley and wanted to charge me for the pulley. The morning I was to pick up the truck I called to confirm completion and they confirm it was to be ready at 1030am. I showed up and was told they needed another 45mins. I returned and again was told 10 more mins. This went on for 2 1/2 hours! needless to say they did not get it completed. Through all of this I only have 1 day a week to see my family as I work out of state, the dealership was fully aware of this. So i ended up wasting my only day to see my family in the dealership, not by choice! One week later I was told the truck was ready. I picked it up had it for about 6 hours and noticed it was STILL leaking oil! At this point I went straight to the owner Tom Dempsey. He tried to side step me and down play it all. I informed him of everything that had transpired up to this point. Again another day in the dealership not by choice. Tom assured me that the issues would be resolved to my full and complete satisfaction. Boy that was smoke and he thought I was a chimney , I guess. Another 2 weeks pass and I am called to pick it up. Promised it has been fully and completely repaired. I pick it up get it home and notice the front inner fender wells are not attached properly (were removed to install the missing headers) and hardware was missing and falling out. Figuring I would just move on and deal with it on my own I started back to Missouri. When I stopped for gas I noticed a puddle of OIL under the truck. Yup it was STILL leaking oil after the THIRD time they "repaired" the leak! I was livid! I called Dodge Corp.(waste of time!) Called mthe dealership again and expressed my frustration and anger to them. The following Sat I again return to Dempsey Dodge, the one day to see my kids! I am beyond pissed! I told them they could buy the truck back from me. I was given this response "we will trade you out of it", I said no we already did that once and it cost me over 10k! So now they have had my truck for 3 months out of that time i have had it 2 weeks, but making payments the entire time! No help from the dealership that caused all the problems! Dodge Corp does not back the customer either there is no help for you. Once they get paid it is too bad so sad as they laugh all the way to the bank. In a nut shell I will not buy another Dodge nor will I ever do business with Dempsey Dodge and I will be sure to share this great experience with everyone I come into contact with! More

Great Experience with Dempsey I worked with Dempsey a few years ago when I asked for a quote on a 2015 Challenger. They were very upfront with the price and the monthly payment. Unfortunately the monthly payment was too high and I have to pass on the deal. They were so professional and understanding I knew the next time I was looking for a Dodge I would contact them. Fast forward 2 years and I was back in the market for a new car. This time I was looking for a Durango. I contacted multiple dealers in the area but the customer service I got from Dempsey was top notch. Not only were they more willing to work with me, I'm a pain at times, but they were able to get me into an R/T and still keep me in budget. I shopped their quote around to another local dealer but they never called back with a counter offer. I guess that meant they couldn't beat it. Jim Schumaker made the whole experience very easy. Jason, the GM, is a really good guy and is more than willing to work with you on price/payment. If you're in the market for a new/used car contact Dempsey! More

I took a gamble in making the trip from Schaumburg to Plano for a particular Jeep. Spoke on the phone with Jim Schumacher Prior to my trip. Told me about the vehicle, price and more importantly that the vehicle was in stock on the lot. On arrival Jeep was as advertised at the price I was quoted. Once I made the decision to purchase I was out in no-time. I was actually shocked at the process. From Jim in sales to Terry Sales manger to the finance guy everyone was great. Even the other sales associates and secretary were funominal. If you live in my area and are tired of all the games do yourself a favor and make the trip. You won't regret it! More

I had done my research online to minimize the time in the dealership, and I found that Dempsey's had the best deal on a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country Van. I was greeted by Walley (Mark Wallace) as soon as I entered the dealership. He immediately pulled the van into their indoor showroom, and off we went on our test drive. No car buying hassle the entire test drive. When we got back, talked numbers quickly, got a lower price than they even had listed online. While I was waiting for the Finance Manager's office to open up, he asked me what features were important to me, then he thoroughly went through all the features of the vehicle, highlighting everything that would make an expecting mother feel safe in her new car with her newborn. While in the Finance Office, they filled up my gas tank, thoroughly cleaned my new ride, and off I went. Walked into the dealership at 9:30, was out by noon. To this day, Walley keeps in contact with us and since then my husband has bought a new Grand Cherokee and my in-laws bought a used Chrysler 300. Check out Dempsey's! More
