My 2003 Jetta needed service and I was debating if I wanted to take it to a Dealer or private shop. My prior experience with Dick Hannah Volkswagen was only to buy parts or look for a vehicle. In my oppinion they were about average compared to other Dealers that I have been to. I had a new key programmed and requested that they see if the engine had the latest flash file. Also I wanted to know what the radio code was for this car because I purchased it used. Was informed that they would have to hook up another computer to check engine software but they would see what they could do for me. I requested that they give an estimate if it was going to cost extra. As I waited in the comfortable customer lounge, I had some cookies and coffee and watched a good football game on tv. The sales and service staff were very freindly. I asked the customer service advisor Phi Nyugen if my car was done yet and requested that the radio code was documented on my owners manual. She personally hunted down the information and came in to let me know what was happening with the car. I was very pleased to hear that there were no charges for the extra requests. My job is in customer service and I was inspired by the Service Dept at Dick Hannha Volkswagen. They get it. Phi is awesome! I will be back if and when I need further service. I am an ex-technician myself, and as such, this was the first time our Passat has been in a dealership since we bought it 5 years ago. I am always been able to get an appointment at one of my targeted dates and times and never a mix-up on appointments.
