Bad alternator installed On January 4th, I directed my son to go to a (allegedly) reputable GM dealer. when his charging system failed en-route from Williston,ND to Delaware. On January 4th, I directed my son to go to a (allegedly) reputable GM dealer. when his charging system failed en-route from Williston,ND to Delaware. His Tahoe broke down and had to be towed in sub-Zero temps. Scott Minor called me to authorize repair cost to my CC. I assumed repair would be ethical and competent. NEVER ASSUME! Tahoe alt failed 18 hours later in Indiana-, ALSO sub-freezing! An attempt to resolve issue ended with Scott mockingly encouraging Steve to contact Yelp and/or BBB. Perhaps Small Claims court might be a viable alternative! Cost was 711 $$$+ Dealer informed Mr Steve Reed that Dealer wasn't responsible since the dealer installed a after market part- a "WEAVER Alternator" (THAT THE DEALER RECOMMENDED)!!!!!!!!!! Never had a bad deal from GM- Chevrolet before this as I routinely buy NEW Chevy hi-dollars trucks. I didn't realize that a GM Super-store would be so unprofessional. Mr Larson indicated that He was a part owner and was indifferent to conflict resolution. An Expensive dis-appointment that leaves my son STILL in subfreezing temps _ stranded! BAD OIL CHANGES Two oil changes in a row, they not only shorted me a quart of oil (which will wreck the engine in the long run) but put in the wrong oil. They put in WD30 instead of WD20 and didn't tell me. When I had them change out the oil the second time, I had to sit there almost two hours and they refused to admit their fault saying "Sorry for the misunderstanding." Do not go there unless you know cars and plan on checking up on their work. More

I was treated with disrespect the last two times I visited Don Larson. The first time when my husband and I stopped there to look at their new and used Chevy Equinox and again today when I stopped in visited Don Larson. The first time when my husband and I stopped there to look at their new and used Chevy Equinox and again today when I stopped in for help with my temp plates for my 2010 Chevy Equinox I had bought elsewhere. I was mocked and disrespected, told that they could have offered me a 2011 Equinox with half the miles for only a $1000 more. I just looked at their website tonight, they dont even have a 2010 Equinox with the same trim! And the cheapest one they have is $6000 more than what I paid for mine! SO after making me feel like an idiot for buying what I believed was the best deal for what I wanted in my Chevy Equinox, they actually proved me right!!!! I did have the best deal, and where I bought my Equinox I was treated with respect! I do not recommend going to Don Larson for your next GM. I recommend Jones in Richland Center, or even Ballweg in Sauk. At least there I was treated like someone that has a brain and common sense. More
