I am very disappointed with ECVW warranty. Recently the overhead console in my 2020 Tiguan just fell out of its mount. I took it to East Coast VW to have it repaired. Mr. David, in the Service Department, overhead console in my 2020 Tiguan just fell out of its mount. I took it to East Coast VW to have it repaired. Mr. David, in the Service Department, told me that the screw mounts were broken and therefore would not be covered under warranty. I, a retired mechanic, removed the part and found that all four of the mount holes were broken. I also saw that the screws were over tightened during installation of the part. This was evidenced by the center of the plastic mount holes being thinned and depressed. This is/was the result of the screws being over torqued. when the part was replaced, so I figured that my car would not be an isolated incident. I was correct. I knew I had never pulled or jarred the part. I plainly but respectfully relayed that fact to the service tech. Anyway, I have purchased two new cars there as well as several used cars, I had my services and repairs done there including tires. I even told several friends and family members abut them because I felt that they were honest and treated me fairly. During my years of being a loyal customer, I have never tried to short change or cheat them out of a single dime and I am not a pauper. I don't worry much about money. I later found out via the internet that my problem is/was not isolated. As a matter of fact, several of the broken parts are onsite on the net for the same reasons. The parts department of ECVW will start stocking that part, assumably because of the same situation happening to other owners. Anyway, I can understand their stance but to make such a decision without investigation a conversation, or even a question sets badly with me. I feel as if I ma just considered a liar and a cheat. They had no reason to assume that I would break the part and try to rook them into paying for it. Maybe it's their system bt they seem to be more concerned about the small cost of repairing the vehicle as the warranty says they will, than returning some of the loyalty I had showed to them. I probably will nit be a ECVW customer any longer. Not because of service but because of what I view as disloyalty. More
Have a used 2016 beetle convertible. I brought it in for a recall repair. The service center was knowledge & quick. Also had salesman, Sage, spend time with me discussing my car needs. I mentioned the tan rag top had some stains & can he make a cleaning recommendation. He had Shaun in the detail department take a look at it. Shaun was able to get ALL the previous owners stains out. I got a quote for the part needed from the service dept for $150. I bought the part online and delivered for $49 4. Made appointment to have the part installed and told them I was buying the part 5. Show up and they tell me $120 to install on top of the $120 to diagnose AND they can't install the part I bought....I drove to a local shop and had part installed n 15 minutes for $40. East Coast was going to charge me $150 for the part, $120 to diagnose and $120 to install. I had it done for $89.00 saving $301.00 Bottom line, I was treated with an arrogance of kindness, basically we will fix it but on our terms. Check around before u just open up your wallet...because what there doing is not treating you fairly. More

Company policy is no, can not. Will never ever buy a car there. Will tell others also not to go there. Poor public service to a person that needed a little air. Had to have AAA tow my car to my service station. More
TRY TO OVER CHARGE ME Today I bring my 2012 VW Passat to them to fix air injaction. DAVID bring me an some paper and show me and read me an day before agreement of Total: $ Today I bring my 2012 VW Passat to them to fix air injaction. DAVID bring me an some paper and show me and read me an day before agreement of Total: $172.52. I said correct and they made me sign for it I did. They start working on it "about 1 hr" than ALAN came with finished car paperwork to cashier and Total was over $300. I reject the price change and he said $172.52 was only labor not parts. I told him DAVID read me and ask me to sign for Total of $172.52.. He argue about it and immediately asked me if you like we can take the parts off. I got angry that time and said OK. ALAN took the car in the shop back and let them take the parts in 5 minutes... YES NO JOKE it took them 5 minutes to take parts and put my old parts back. "WHICH I HOPE THEY DID" ... I asked all the paper works and my signed paper copy and ask him his manager to complain about him.. He said ok and next door was his manager KEITH... I told him everything but he was same just like them to talk to me... He didn't even say SORRY with heart. My appointment was 1 pm Thursday, I took my son from school early for this he lost a half day for this, than I drive 30 to them to get service and wait 1 hr for them to finish THEY WERE NOT CARE... Now I am back home but thinking if they mess it up any other thing in my car because they are angry? THAT I DON'T KNOW PS: DAVID and ALLAN when they talk to me they never look at my eyes... They never had a eye contact with me... More
