I went to Envision Ford of Duarte to service my 2024 Ford Mustang. I was previously treated well by service advisor Edgar Rico. I even brought 2 boxes of mangoes to show my appreciation. But this visit wa Mustang. I was previously treated well by service advisor Edgar Rico. I even brought 2 boxes of mangoes to show my appreciation. But this visit was different, a nightmare, with a service advisor named Antonio “Tony” Botello. He humiliated me. He kept upselling service that I did not want. He kept repeating “Do you understand me, do you hear what I just said?” He even warned that Ford Company will get angry for rejecting required services. He talked down to me as though I don’t understand English. Condescending. Shameless. You see, I’m an 80-year old asian with grey hair. I’m also a retired CPA MBA specializing in IRS Audit and Appeals for 50 years, retired CHP volunteer, commissioner of the State of California and the cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Arcadia; president of several professional organizations, author of a book called “How to Avoid IRS Audits” and received an outstanding businessman award from President Ronald Reagan. Then this low life Antonio Botello of Envision Ford treats me like trash. No wonder Ford CEO Jim Farley wants to close dealerships in favor of direct sales to consumers. Do I come back to Envision Ford? Yes. Antonio Botello does not represent Envision Ford. Edgar Rico does. I hope. I also hope that management reads customer reviews to weed out undesirables that destroy their brand.
