My Review of Expo Motorcars:
I purchased a 2004 E500 Mercedes Benz and was told by the salesperson, to add a navagation and phone to the car would cost about $1500.00 which was reasonable to me. When i took the car to a MB dealer, the price tag was north of $7,500.00.

I have called EXPO and of course the guy I purchased the car from is no long there; I left 5 voice messages for the store manager and never recieved a call back nor would he take my live call. All i wanted was to buy a car from them that had navag and phone and ask that they credit me what i paid for the car as i owned the car for less than a month.
I was warned against buying from them, and you can be assured that I never will again due to their mis-representations.

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
Wow. When I read cpc's review, I felt like the words were getting taken out of my mouth. I too was helped (if you can call it helping) by Byron Debraine at Expo, and the experience was excruciating. He was the most accommodating salesman until immediately after the papers were signed, then as issues came up with my car, he was nowhere to be found. In fact, I called countless times and left messages with other people at Expo, yet somehow never got a return call. Either they conveniently didn't give him the messages, or he flat out ignored them. Either way, the service was terrible. I will never buy from these guys again. In fact, I have been actively telling my friends to stay away from Mr. Debraine.

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
Well, back to give another review. As I posted previously on 8/8/08, I bought my car from Expo (from Byron) on June 3rd, and have now been waiting for a check to cover the buffing job that was promised to me for two months. I just found out that Byron refuses to send me a check until I take down my negative internet review. I find this very interesting. So he wants me clear my honest review of him (he even affirmed that what I said in the post was all true) before he pays me what I am owed? No luck, Byron. I'd rather the world know the truth about your terrible service before I get my $200. So here it is again, avoid Byron at Expo Motorcars, and judging from all these other reviews, perhaps avoid the Expo dealership entirely. Byron has been unresponsively, unprofessional, rude, and lazy. I really wish I looked on this website first before dealing with these guys. I've definitely learned my lesson. I'd like to see everyone else's experience; now I am curious how others have gotten screwed.

Don't even take the chance. I have done a fair amount of private car business on EBAY and never had such a poor experience. Can't believe what a sucker I feel like for not checking this dealer out. There is a reason there are so many posts that are negative. If not for the internet, these guys would have been gone long ago. No return on phone calls, flat out lies by finance, and a car with no CD palyer or heated seats as advertised. Must be why they sold it to me outside of EBAY.
I am an Engineer in San Diego and purchased an M3 in March of 2008.

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
At first, the experience was fine since the price was good and the sales rep, Byron, was responsive. Once the sale went through, however, the Byron's service went to hell. I received my porsche on 6/3, found some scratches and dings, and after badgering on the phone for ~4 weeks (I had to initiate every call and hunt Byron down), Byron agreed to pay for a buffing job. That was about a month ago. Now I am leaving messages for Byron everyday and have brought the issue up to management. I have still not received my check and it's 9 weeks after closing the deal. Byron should be fired considering the discrepancy in his pre- and post-sale behavior. I think the management should also take a good look at themselves since Byron is probably only a symptom of bigger service issues.

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
The more I think about the problems I'm having with this car the problems I realize I haven't mentioned.

I bought the car on a Saturday a year ago as of April 14, Saturday (I should have taken this as a sign then)
I went from the car dealership home.

On Sunday morning the weather in Houston was brilliant close to 75 degrees. So I proceeded to clean my home that morning after I decided I would open the sunroof on my new purchase and just drive.
I completed my chores, got cleaned-up went out to the garage put the key in the ignition and turned -nothing. I tried again - nothing. I started thinking this can't be true. I checked the mirrors believing this would confirm I wasn't dreaming, took a deep breath and tried again -nothing.
I called the dealership they were closed on sunday's - of course.

First thing Monday, I called and told the manager what was going on. He told me I must have done something to the car. And that I should get someone to jump start the battery and bring the car back.

I told him I would do no such thing and that if they wanted the remainer of their down payment for the car he would send someone to fix it!

It wasn't until wednesday when the sales person and a mechanic showed up at my home with a new battery (interesting how they would know what the problem was before even looking at the car) they installed the battery and the car started up just fine.

I'm thinking if I hadn't still owned them the down payment money I would have been out the money for a new battery.

I found it insulting that the manager would assume I did something to the car that caused the battery to go dead - apparently if I needed a new battery the one in the car was no good in the first damn place!

I will keep in touch.

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
This is a follow-up to a previous rating.

I just got off the phone with the finance manager (Mark) at Expo motors. Who pretty much - no flat out said that the warranty I was sold was worthless and that the only reason they sold it to me was because they couldn't sale me anything else. And in fact they shouldn't have sold me the 3 year warranty on the car I brought it should have only been a 1 year warranty (that says they sold me a vehicle they knew the warranty was in fact no good)

To make matters worst I can't cancel the warranty.

Isn't that something after a year and after paying $1695.00 not to mention the finance charges that's going to more than triple the price of a piece of paper I paid for.

He actually had the balls to tell me there was nothing I could do and there was nothing he was going to do.

I have another repair bill for $1400.00 dollars an adjuster who made a decision over the phone (he didn't even go and look at the car)

Speaking to Melissa in the finance department who had no clue about what she was doing and tried to excuse herself by saying she had only been there 5 months and that I could get a refund if I cancelled the warranty but that I would see no adjustment in the price of my car (because the refund would be sent to the bank) makes sense? to me either why would the bank get my refund. I'm the one paying for the car.

Anyway buyers beware.

This as turned out to be a nightmare and it's only getting worst!

I'm sure I'll have more to say and when I do I'll be back!

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
I bought my car and less than 2 months later I had to pay $800.00 for repairs. The extended warranty they sold me was unless. Again my car is in the shop less than a year later for repairs that are not covered by the warranty even though again the items that need repair are listed in the warranty.
About a week after I had the car the air conditioner stopped working the sunroof cover would not close and I had a flat that was when I discovered I didn't have a the jack equipment to fix the flat on a busy feeder road.
I've been calling expo motors for a year and guess what no satisfaction at all.
Now I'm about to pay another $1400.00 for repairs for items again listed in the unless warranty they sold me.
thanks a lot

My Review of Expo Motorcars:
The salesman at EXPO Motorcars was very professional. However, he lied to my husband about a part that was ordered for our Mercedes Benz that we purchased. We made several calls to EXPO concerning the part and were told that the part had not arrived. It has been well over 2 months and we still have not received the part. In my opinion, the part was never ordered. The salesman at EXPO never called or sent a Thank-You note to say thank-you for your business. EXPO MOTORCARS needs a refresher course on Customer Service. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone I know. At least, CarMax, and other used dealerships show good Customer Service even Mercedes Benz North Houston, their competitor.

CAVEAT EMPTOR - STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP FOLKS. THIS IS THE MOST PATHETIC, LYING, SCUM BUCKET DEALER TO DO BUSINESS WITH. THESE JOKERS SOLD ME AN "UNWRECKED" VEHICLE. 3 WEEKS AFTER I GOT IT HOME, THE WAX JOB HAD WORN OFF, EXPOSING A WRETCHED PAINT JOB WITH HEAT CRACKS FROM BEING SMASHED FROM BEHIND AND ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THEY ACCEPTED NO RESPONSIBILITY!
