I stopped by the dealership to check out a new Lincoln Aviator. Jose is a super nice guy, was very helpful with the tech in the vehicle, and even took the time to help me find different interior color opt Aviator. It's been 1. 5 months of waiting to get our family (of 7) vehicle back. My expedition experienced a turbo failure while I was in the area for work. Originally, it 5 months of waiting to get our family (of 7) vehicle back. My expedition experienced a turbo failure while I was in the area for work. Originally, it was towed to Clarks Car Care but when they diagnosed it would need a new engine, I decided to have it towed to a Ford service shop thinking that would be better for such a big repair. Not so sure about that anymore. I had to explain the situation and give all my info to 4 different people over the first week each time I called. Does no one write down a note there? One person told me they didn't have it and that I should call the towing company to make sure they brought it there! It took Ford service a week to come up with the same diagnosis Clark's Car Care had in a day. After that week, I was told they'd have to give it to the engine specialist because it was a bigger issue. Umm, yeah... that's what I told you was wrong a week ago. Once I finally had the quote, I gave the go ahead and was told it might take about another week. Every step of the way, I've had to call and check in to keep things moving. To make matters worse, Ford ended up sending a bad engine for the first repair which turned into more delays. I understand this isn't Fair Oaks fault but why was I not getting an update call every day or two so I could understand how to plan for our family? We ended up driving the 5 hour round-trip to pick up a loaner from them since this was going to take even longer. Every time I called for an update, I was told I would get a call back by the end of that day. 2 days would pass and I would have to call again myself. We ended up cancelling one vacation and had to leave our camper home for another we had planned. (The loaner was too small to fit our whole family and couldn't tow the camper) When I finally arrived to pick up the vehicle, the parts charge was higher than discussed so I had to argue that back down. The cashier had no record of my down payment so I had to show my credit card statement to show I had paid more than the service rep said. Then the key programming I asked for wasn't done. Had to get another tech involved who got all huffy about it. Now I'm sitting waiting for this key programming. I guess they couldn't get that done in the 1.5 months they had it? I can't wait to leave here and never come back. I suggest you choose another service place. More
