For me, the idea of venturing out to potentially purchase a new vehicle has always been a very daunting, dreaded task. Well, I'm happy to say that that changed once I went to Freehold Hyundai. I was assisted through this process by salesperson Rob S. Upon entering the dealership, I was warmly greeted by Rob. He exhibited great professionalism through an honest, respectful demeanor during my whole buying experience. Rob was very knowledgeable about the features of each vehicle that I inquired about, yet he was receptive to what it was that I was looking for that best suited my driving and financial needs without being pushy or making me feel pressured. My questions were thoroughly answered and explained, my concerns were addressed and resolved, and the necessities and features that I requested and aimed for in a vehicle were acknowledged and ultimately fulfilled by Rob. Because of the warm, welcoming environment of Freehold Hyundai but more importantly the courteous disposition and high degree of efficiency displayed by Rob, I'm the owner of a 2013 Tucson. I would gladly recommend Freehold Hyundai to any of my family, friends, and/or colleagues as well as to anyone who wants the same, rewarding experience that I had: one in which I felt well-informed, respected, and confident with my purchase. Stay away from this dealer. They are slimy and sketchy, caring only about making your money. First, they tell you that fees are mandatory, including a $199 fee for window etching. Under State law the dealer can not require you to purchase warranties, protection, or options and it specifically lists window etching in the NJ Code. When brought to their attention they are rude, inconsiderate, and only care about one thing... Making your money. They are rude and inconsiderate and after making the sale they could care less about you! I will be traveling out of my way to have my car serviced elsewhere. Next, they will tell you that the window etching saves you money on car insurance. This is a lie! Car insurance companies require a protection policy to be included with the window etching to receive a discount. All you are getting with the $199 fee is the etching no protection policy. Window etching outside the dealer costs $25 and there is really no benefit without the policy. They also have one of the highest documentary fees in the area. At $500 for document fees you would think you would get better service instead of having to wait for hours to go sign the paperwork. Stay away from this dealer! All they want is your money and will not try to make anything right after they have made the sale. This dealer gives all dealers a bad name! A positive is that I love my car. I just wish I bought it from someone else cause if I could do it again I would not give a penny to this dealer. More
I Called Freehold Hyundai on Wed June 26 to see if they can match or beat the price on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Sky Blue advertized by different dealers via newspaper ads. I was told repeatedly by a rep by t can match or beat the price on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Sky Blue advertized by different dealers via newspaper ads. I was told repeatedly by a rep by the name of Shyna who reports to Ephraim Jones, that not only they can match the price, but they are currently running a promotion that would reduce your total price of 18,000 by 30% thus making the price of the vehicle at $12,600 plus destination charges, taxes, etc. I asked the rep to please double check with her manager on the price as it seemed too good to be true and she reassured me that was the correct price for the car and that she would let the sales person at the dealership know about our conversation. Thus my daughter and I traveled for 1 hr. to get to this location, simply to find out that the sales rep had no knowledge of my conversation with the person named above. With that being said, I was told that there were no more Sky Blue Elantra in the state of NJ, when my daughter said, ok thank you we will try somewhere else, miraculously 1 car was available somewhere in Pennsylvania. Then when we discussed the price I was told that the information was incorrect, and the price of the car was not $18K but 23K. Needless to say I was very upset for the lack of honesty and the bait and switch strategy. I was pleasantly welcomed at Circle Hyundai in Shrewsbury when I went to visit them the next day, both my daughter and I were treated as customers, the owner, sales person and financing agent were very transparent, honest and friendly, needless to say I purchased that day a 2013 Sky Blue Elantra and rest assured that I would never ever go back to Freehold Hyundai nor will I ever recommend anyone from being subjected to such a shady organization.
