If I could give -0 stars I would and it will be well deserved. I am so upset with Gay Kia that I don't understand this feeling. I went to Gay Kia just to get a quote and I expressed this several times. After the sales rep Katy being so nice and driving the Kia K5 I was hooked and told her to start the process. My 2020 CHR only had 13,000 miles and is in mint condition. They only wanted to give me 21,000 my payoff was $19,645.00, but I refused because the Kelly Blue Book is 25,000. To make a long story short after expressing I do not want to put down a down payment and want my payments to be $450.00 not the $610.00 Gay Kia was trying to sale me on. So, after getting approved I still had to go and review the paper work and sign. Let me first say that the guy that did my paper work talked so much and even more when I would ask about the figures it was frustrating me and I was pressed for time, so for that I blame myself for allowing him to control process. I got up early to view my contract and was disturb about this. My trade in was $24.000 take away what my pay off was that would have given $4,324.34 in my pocket if I would have sold it to them I also put down $500,00 which total $4,824.34 subtract that from the MSRP of $26,940.00 that would and should have dropped the total of the car to $22,615.66 at a 11.85% interest rate . Now, this is why I believe Gay Kia stole my down payment. When I plugged in my usb and looked at the contract thoroughly I noticed where the MSRP amount should be it was $29,942.52 this is because Gay Kia added these fees. Gay Value P $1,895.00/Dealer Service $310.00/ Tire $595.00. and other fees that bought the total cost owed $30,439.03 - the amount they gave me for the trade in $24,000 would have me owing them $6,439.00 subtract my down payment of $4,824.34 that would equal $1,614.66 My total of payment with interest is $39,462.36. Gay Kia stole my down payment and I am going to find out is this legal. I swore whenever I try to ask the guy that did my paperwork he was all over the place with a reply. I was so fed-up with him that I told myself I have a few days to look over the contract with a clear head and if I see any type of scams I will return the car, but when I think about it my credit was ran which would make it hard for me to go elsewhere to get a honest deal, so I will hope that Gay Kia will correct this greedy deal, because I will keep the car but will not let them get away with stealing from me. Because if I would have sold my Toyota which is in high demand I would have walked out with $4,324.00 for the difference in my payoff not owing Gay Kia $1,614.66. I let them play me stupid, but I will not let them get away with it. More
I asked for a vehicle that would be suitable for a disabled child. They assured me that they knew what they were talking about, as I was a new mom and don’t know cars. They sold me a new Kia Rio with disabled child. They assured me that they knew what they were talking about, as I was a new mom and don’t know cars. They sold me a new Kia Rio with manual windows and locks. It didn’t take long for my kid to realize they could roll down the windows and throw anything within reach out the window. I had to duct tape the windows rolling handles in place. And try loading a handicap stroller into the trunk. I hurt my back so many times. Then the service department charged me 2x more than Freddy Kia and refused to honor my extended warranty even though every other kia dealership begged me to them. Lastly, I was upside down on my 6-year loan as soon as I drove it off the lot. Just despicable. More
Helped get the exact car I wanted and had no issues with process even with me coming from a different area. Zach was extremely helpful and let me know exactly what I would be paying for a lease and did not process even with me coming from a different area. Zach was extremely helpful and let me know exactly what I would be paying for a lease and did not try to add on anything and kept the deal as is. Would recommend anyone to come here. More
Gay Family KIA was excellent! I was at Demontrond KIA and they would not work with me on price and was priced $14,000 over the MSRP. I called Gay Family KIA on the phone and spo I was at Demontrond KIA and they would not work with me on price and was priced $14,000 over the MSRP. I called Gay Family KIA on the phone and spoke to Patrick. We were able to get a deal done all over the phone and I picked the car up the next day. The car also included a level 2 charger, which Demontrond would not include. Financing was easy and I was able to get a good interest rate. Highly recommend. More
Wow, I can't believe the DISHONEST SALES STAFF and SALES MANAGER working at this dealership! I had a ridiculously bad experience at this dealership. The price we agreed upon is not what was presented once MANAGER working at this dealership! I had a ridiculously bad experience at this dealership. The price we agreed upon is not what was presented once I finally got an opportunity to see an itemized buyers order. Here's how things transpired. The sales price offered was $16,001, but with TT&L and the "Gay Family VIP" package the total came out to $18,865. The VIP package is an additional $995 for your typical dealer fluff/padding/addons (i.e., tint that wasn't installed yet, clear coat, nitrogen in the tires, a couple of oil changes, and a few other meaningless items), none of which I couldn't utilize because I live an hour and a half away and wanted to take the car home that evening. When I countered that I'm not paying for the VIP package and to take it off, the salesman went to "ask the manager what he could do." (Note: The only people in the entire dealership at this point in time were the salesman, sales manager, my son, and me. So, the whole back and forth of asking the manager seemed a bit silly in itself). When he came back, he said that the manager would take off $531 of the total. I countered that I wanted to whole $995 taken off and it was a deal breaker if it wasn't. He went back to the manager again to ask about taking the entire VIP off, and after while he came back and said the sales manager said OK. He drew an "X" over the VIP and then a line for me to initial (see both in blue ink on the attached photo). It's at that point that I asked to see an itemized list of the charges and was told that the finance guy will have it. When I got over the finance guy and finally saw a buyer’s order, I noticed that the VIP package was still included in the total. When I said that it was supposed be taken out, he called the manager who said that it should still be included. I walked back over to the manager's office and asked him if he was going to honor the price that was quoted to me. After quite a bit of back and forth, essentially his response was "You signed a piece of paper with an out the door cost of $18,334, so that's what you agreed to." Well, no, sir, I agreed to the $16,001 plus TT&L that your salesman and I sat there agreed upon after he asked you for the OK. I'm not really sure how there could have been any confusion about the deal, since I was the ONLY customer in the entire dealership. In any event, as mad as I was at their dishonesty, as a last-ditch effort I tried to make one final offer to close the deal and move on, because my son actually really wanted the car. I said that I'd give him $200 of the VIP, to which he said no. The end result of all of this: I'll NEVER do business at any Gay Family dealership and I highly recommend to anyone considering doing so to be very weary of their sleazy and dishonest sales tactics.
