I appreciate that when this was brought to their attention, the repairs were made. Attending these repairs took my time and energy. At all times, Bill and the gentleman in the service area were personable, professional, and easy to communicate with. More

I always go the George Coleman for both of my cars to have the oil change and tires rotated. Well, not anymore. My last date with them was on 01/08/2026. Let me also add that I wasn't aware that George C have the oil change and tires rotated. Well, not anymore. My last date with them was on 01/08/2026. Let me also add that I wasn't aware that George Coleman Ford was acquired by Smith Automotive Group on April 16th, 2023. I was born in 1972, and raised in Travelers Rest. The Coleman name has always been a well respected. So, to be clear, this post isn't meant to cast shade on George Coleman Ford It's to bring awareness to other customers about the shady business practices of one man. I can't recall his full name, but his initials are Scott Peters, and he tries to serve as the service manager. Anyway, on this particular day, the "service manager" came to me and he was holding a wheel stud with the lug nut still attached. About 30 minutes prior to this, the dealership secretary had approached me and suggested a brake job on the front and rear of the car. I politely declined and told her that I will do the brake job myself. She said, okay, and that the "service manager" would come and speak with me later. I automatically knew that some sort of "upsell" was on the way. About an hour later, the "service manager" came in holding the stud and lug nut to my right front tire. I could clearly see that the stud had been twisted until it broke off. He said that it had been broken off by a technician, and that he would replace the stud and lug nut for free IF I would agree to let them do a brake job on the front and rear of my car ($269.93 for the front, and $269.93 for the rear). I immediately said NO! I do my own brake jobs, and I had personally put new brakes on the front wheels about 6 months earlier. I was completely wrong about the "upsell" attempt that I was really looking forward to. Instead, it was clear to me that I was in the middle of an attempt to "bait" me with unethical and deceptive business practices by trying trying to sell me the extra, unnecessary services. Oh, yea, and the whole bit about he would do the lug nut and stud service for free IF I agreed to do the brake service. First of all, he should have to replace the lug nut and stud for free, BECAUSE THEY BROKE IT. To make matters worse, he tried to tell me that an original Toyota wheel stud and lug nut, plus the labor would be $120.00. I laughed because I know that I could have bought the stud and lug nut for approximately $12, and done the labor myself, which I am doing. I called him out on his unethical practices, and told him that I wasn't going to pay for $110.00 oil change and tire rotation. He realized that he had tried to scam the wrong person, and proceeded to hand me the invoice for the oil change and tire rotation, the estimate for the brake job, my car keys, and said "Have a great day, sir. Your car is parked outside, and ready for you". This has been a Public Service Announcement* More
First of all, let's start with they overcharge me on the car because the price online is 24,699 when he wrote up the paperwork, he put it for 26 600 or something like that and I told him that was not the sa car because the price online is 24,699 when he wrote up the paperwork, he put it for 26 600 or something like that and I told him that was not the same same price that was not a lot he said something about the dealership dealership has a fee and they didn't really make no money off the car, but they still didn't give them the right to go up on the price of a car that they had it posted for online online then never it really explained what type of insurance I have didn't give me no paperwork or anything it was just unprofessional and I'm really not happy but I'm going to do what I have to do. This contract really needs to be rewrote. More
