My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
I went into this dealership to purchase a 2010 Chevy MAlibu with cash in hand for my 26 year old daughter. The salesman was some young punk that was 1 of the rudest salesman I have ever seen. We picked out two vehicles and asked to test drive both. First off this salesman "never" acknowledged my daughter and refused to allow us to test drive the vehicle unless we told him how much money we were going to put down and if we had a trade. Then the idiot says to my daughter "you have a co-signer right"? I was furious as this salesman didnt even know my daughters name, never ran her credit report ( which she has a score of 833)and demanded to know what we wanted the monthly payment at. I immediately got up and yelled at this salesman to where others could hear me and said "what is wrong with you" and stormed out....Needless to say I had 4 managers and the owner come running out begging me to stay and they would get another salesman for me. This dealership is the worst...hopefully in the very near future GM will shut these clowns down. I have had the opportunity to tell 100's of people this story and have even called Chuck Gaudy at abc7 chicago about this dealership.

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
every person that works there is full of ****! they lie and make false financing claims. they change stories around with eachother to confuse the customer. after 3-4 hours i got up and walked out... this was 3 weeks ago and they still call me to come back in. they have some pretty big balls but im not getting screwed, and you shouldn't either!!!!! oh yeah and yesterday i found out they have 75 complaints against them in the last 3 years to the Better Business Bureau with a rating of "F"
AND i read in the newspaper that the finance manager listed in the review below "WALTER FRONEK" was arrested for stealing $38,000 in customer down payments.
STAY AWAY FROM GROSSINGER CHEVROLET!!!!!

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
I was scammed by the General Manager Jody Adams. I was being charged a $2000 destination and delivery fee on a uded car that I was told was traded in at that store!! Why? How do you have that kind of charge for a trade in? I was the told that the ad price was meant to bring me into the dealer ship and this charge is a common practice at this store. he then smirked and me and said, "the ad worked didn't it?" What a smart-ass. I left and recommend that no one ever fall for these sam tactics at Grossinger Chevrolet !!

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
This company has no ideea about treating respectfully a customer.
The sales person who tried to sell a car was rude, did false statements, has promised a price right at the beginning (8,000) and at the end (after 3 hoursof waiting) the price was 13,000. I asked for a glass of water or a coffee and he told me (without looking at me) to go and serve myself. He was impertinent and did't even for a second looked in my eyes. Would you trust a person who talk with you looking out at the window and eating seeds and candies? I am not gonna go there again.
I simply don't trust this company anymore.

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
This place has cracked out sales people. I went in for a car I saw on the internet and when i went there to check it out the car was in horrible condition. There was 1 new tire and the rest were worn. Plus, the car made a clicking noise when you turned. When I said that the car had to be fixed before I bought it they raised the price! There was no service reports or carfax reports on this vehicle. On top of that , the percentage rate was way out of line and when I said that I talked to another sales man over at another dealership with a lower rate, they automatically dropped the rate to 6.8. RIDICULOUS! Overall, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Everyone there is pretty much orange, spiky haired men that sit around and do absolutely nothing at all besides trying to sell you shitty cars.

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
I have to admit after reading all this horrible reviews I was really skeptical to go to GRossinger. But they had the Travese I wanted and the price on the interenet was the best out there. ALso, when at looked at reviews for other dealerships it seemed like there just werent any good ones. Maybe only mad people resppond. I live 30 minutes away when I got there they had the car ready for me. TOok me on a test drive nad told me all about it. they didnt try to change the price once like all th eother dealers did I got the deal I came in for. No problems in finance, probably becuase I have good credit so it was no big deal. When I go back to sercie they are always nice and I got a free oil change.

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
First off I went to buy a car with my girlfriend and sat there for 4 hours while they forced me to take the car that night. I told them that I make cash and that I could not prove tax paperwork but only bank statements. Thay told me "dont worry we hook up everyone" after we got to the finance guy named Anthony (big fat slob)I told him that we only want our credit ran 2 times at most he said "no problem we can get you done in one call" after I went to the rest room and left my girl friend of 8 years with this preditor in the office, he was hitting on her..What the fuck!!!!!He was asking her if she has sex with me and is she happy etc. (she never told me this until 3 weeks later)I took the car and 13 days later I got 9 letters from banks saying that they will not finance me. That fat basterd ran our apps 9 times with different banks and drop my credit from 600 to 576. I brought the car back to return it because they could not finance me and I sat like an asshole in the office for 1.5 hours and waited for the guy GM named Jody (a girls name)to take back the car. Jody was walking back and forth and never once came to talk to me about anything. The finance guy said that the car was mine and thats it! I took the car and another week went by and now the dealership is calling me for documents. Now theyre telling me 21 % interest on the car and I said hell no. Then the dealership tells me for $300 they can draw the tax papers I need to seal the deal. I brought the car back and requested my $1,000 deposit back on my debit card. It has been 1 1/2 weeks and still It has not posted to my account. Jody (the little fag GM) called me and told me that he will give me back my money after yelling at me on the phone for calling the BBB and Attorney General on them. That GM is a little Bitch and he and that dealership should burn!!!!Never ever go to this place..........

Employee(s) Dealt With: Anthony (finance) Robbie (sales) Jody (Gen. Mgr, and Robbie's brother)

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
First of all let me start by saying Robbie, my salesman was very freindly, very pleasant to deal with. However, to make a loooong story short, my experiance was decent untill I agreed to buy a car and they came over to tell me, "sorry, it's already sold."
Why am I even test driving somebody else's car? After coming back 4 times they found me a car at the price I wanted $9000 out the door. I went in to meet with a really big finance guy, his name was Anthony. I wanted to put $5000 down on the car, but they would only accept $2000 I left happy with a new car. A few days later I was called in to meet with Anthony again, who told me they needed another $800 down for the bank. This was not a problem since I had wanted to put more down to begin with. I re-signed the papers, they looked ok. Only later when I really sat down and looked at them, I see a new $600 charge under a line called (DEALER INSTALLED OPTIONS (SEE#9 ON BACK))Well, #9 on back was rustproofing. I bought a used car, you don't rustproof a used car. This is not something they did, offered to do, or even discussed doing. I called that night and spoke to a Mgr, named Kevin. (I don't believe he was a mgr) He told me that this was a charge from the bank for financing me. How is this possible? Anthony told me I needed $800 more down, not $800 extra! Nobody would fix the problem. I don't believe this is even legal. I will be writing to the attorney general this weekend! The sign outside is right. Don't make a gross mistake!

Employee(s) Dealt With: Jody Abrams and many more

My Review of Grossinger Chevrolet:
Can I give this Dealer a negative 5? What does it take to get a dealership like this put out of business? I made the horrible mistake of stopping at this Dealer while shopping for a new car. They told me I could take the car home on a demo no strings attached (yeah Bulls***). I signed the paperwork which turned out to be a binding contract for the car. They told me I had 72 hours to demo the car. When I return less than 24 hours later because we were not satisfied they told me I had bought the car!!!?! Are you kidding me? They held my car (which I was not trading in) in their garage and would not allow me to leave the new car and take my car home! My wife and I returned that Saturday and we were allowed to choose another car on the lot. They would not even bring in a car from one of their partner dealerships. Only what was on the lot. The only saving grace for us was that GMAC had 0% financing and they actually did have a car that we like (way more than we wanted to spend) but we were trapped at this point. So of course there was no dealing on the price. This is where it gets fun! They first tried to charge us $2000 OVER the sticker price! When I called them out on that, they agreed to charge exactly the sticker price. On the previous car they were willing to give me $$ off and a low finance rate. NOT ANYMORE! They claimed they were not able to negotiate on the price at all when we were taking advantage of the 0% financing! Bulls***! I was not born yesterday. The next game was with the numbers, we agreed on a final price and the sales person brings me a piece of paper scratched up with Sharpee marker (anyone who has been there knows, they must have a class on this game). Well the paper never mentions the final price only monthly payments, the downpayment and the interest rate. Well with a 0% down I don't need to be a math major to figure out the total cost. They monthly payments they presented were again $5000 over the sticker price!!!!! Are you kidding me?? Do people go for this?? I told him to take it back or I would simply buy the cheapest piece of crap they had on the lot and walk out. It goes on and on, but you get the idea - STAY AWAY!
Someone please tell me who I need to contact to get this information out to the mass public! Lets shut this place down. The Jody Abrams should never be allowed to sell cars to anyone! What goes around comes around you rat bastard. I seriously don't know how these people sleep at night.

I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual with over 17 years of education, and I feel totally stupid for falling into this trap. Don't let it happen to you!
