Since buying our Honda Civic in Wayne in 2005, I have always hoped to have a dealership closer to home. Living in Hackettstown you can imagine how glad I was to see that this was finally happening with the opening of Hackettstown Honda. Unfortunately, this has since changed with my recent experience when I brought my car in for service for an exhaust leak.

Having some mechanical ability, I had examined the car the night before and determined that there was a possibility that the leak was only a gasket problem, but I was going to leave this up to our "trusted" Honda dealership. When scheduling my appointment I had mentioned this to the person taking my call.

To my surprise, when I received the estimate for repair, I was told that there was a rusted portion of the pipe and that the cat converter and pipe needed to be replaced. The cost was going to be $1400 - $1600.00.
Like I said, this caught me by surprise, but fortunately, having the ability to fix it myself-- I declined the repair. Mentioning this to a friend, he suggested bringing the car to AAMCO, so I figured a second opinion could not hurt.

Wrapping this up, they determined this leak was due to the "gasket" and the cost was a mere $150.00 to their estimated $1400- $1600.

With this being said, you can see how disappointed I was to see that my "Local Honda Dealership" was ripping me off. I can only imagine what they do with the sale of their cars and to other unsuspecting customers in need of car repair.

I GARY WARD sat in your service department waiting to be written up for a scheduled oil change for 25 minutes.Your sevice advisors were talking and watching espn. Then I decided to leave and asked for my keys and your service advisor told me i'm sorry have a nice day. I will never use your dealership again.

Requested a quote on a vehicle (same model I already own). Gave me a very low lease price. I questioned it with the salesperson several times and his manager and was assured that was the price. Said they were a new dealership and could make those kind of deals. Test drove the car. Agreed to the vehicle, again verifying the lease price. Had to locate my vehicle since they didn't have any. Went to sign the paperwork and the monthly lease price changed, surprise- went up $70 more a month. They claimed I asked for the wrong model and that's what they quoted. I asked for the same model I am driving, asked if that was the correct price on every conversation, during the test drive, after the test drive, etc. there was no mistake it's called bait and switch. Left and went to Sussex honda!

I truly had an exceptional experience buying my new Honda Accord 2013 LX from Warren Kershnar at Hackettstown Honda. From the start, Warren was very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to accommodate me as much as possible. I have never had such a pleasant experience at a car dealership before. Even the Manager, Frank Giambattista was extremely helpful and insured me throughout the entire process that he would do all in his power to get me the best possible deal. I feel as though I was given superb customer service treatment from the time I walked into the door of Hackettstown Honda, until the time I drove my new car off of the lot. We had an excellent buying experience with Warren (and the other associated employees) at Hackettstown Honda. Warren was very knowledgeable about new and used Accords, treated us with respect, worked within our budget, and made absolutely sure we were satisfied with our new car. We were also impressed with the fact that the dealership took the time to scout around for a lower finance rate than was originally offered. We will definitely recommend Warren and the dealership to our friends and acquaintances.

Inept Service Dept. They had my new 2013 Accord for three days to diagnose two small warranty issues.
Took two weeks to get in parts, I brought in car only to get a call that night to tell me all of the parts weren't in and they needed the car another day. In the meantime they did an oil change on my car by mistake. The Service rep stated they sometimes get the VIN numbers mixed up. Some poor customer came in for an oil change and they gave it to me instead. You have to wonder what they are doing to your car. Warranty issue still not resolved. Very frustrating. Won't buy from here again. Dealership sent me a survey, I shared some of these issues with them, they never followed up.

Warren Kershnar possesses the people skills all car salespeople should learn. Warren obviously knows the value of the customer and follows through on everything he says. If not for Warren I’m sure I would have made the usual mistakes in purchasing a new vehicle. I came away from Hackettstown Honda with knowledge as well as the most beautiful Honda Accord I have ever owned.
Warren Kershnar was indeed a trust worthy individual that will insure I return to Hackettstown to buy another Honda from him. I'm in the market as I write for the Honda Pilot EX-L 4 WD. Too bad Princeton, VIP, and Auto Sport Honda are a little cold and will not deal at all. I live in Bridgewater, NJ but I will drive the 40 minutes to Hackettstown just because Warren treated me like a human being and not just a dollar sign. Warren made me a Honda buyer as I always purchased American made cars.

Warren Kershnar made buying my 2013 Honda Accord painless. Since I had been car shopping for the past 2 months and visiting numerous dealerships, I was anticipating the usual; hours spent negotiating, answering questions, playing the game. But that wasn't the case. Of course, once I drove the Accord, my mind was made up anyway but the deal and the transaction couldn't have been smoother. I was very impressed and could not have been happier with all aspects of the sale, all individuals involved and the follow-up communication.

My sales interaction with Hackettstown Honda was the best car buying experience I ever had. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Warren was a great salesman. He was far from what you think of as the typical car salesman. He listened to my situation and helped me find the best solution with out pressuring me. He helped make the vehicle I wanted fit into my budget. I recommend Warren and Hackettstown Honda for anyone looking for a car!
