I bought a new Civic from Mike Dowdy at Bel Air Honda yesterday and I just want to express what a positive experience it was for me. He greeted me at the door as I walked in and from that point, I knew i yesterday and I just want to express what a positive experience it was for me. He greeted me at the door as I walked in and from that point, I knew it would be a pleasant experience. He was knowledgable about the differences between the two vehicles that I was contemplating purchasing, and ultimately helped me make the decision to purchase the Civic. I didn't feel pressured at all, as he was easy to establish a rapport with and he quickly made me feel comfortable. I would feel recommend him to anyone who wants a pleasant experience purchasing a new car. More
Overall the services provided by the dealership was ok but I was totally frustrated by the amount of mistakes they made. They started saying that I already qualified for 0.9% apr for 36 months and later t but I was totally frustrated by the amount of mistakes they made. They started saying that I already qualified for 0.9% apr for 36 months and later the guy was automatically adding 4 some percent apr. The price of the vehicle too fluctuated minute after minute. I don't understand why car buying can't be easier, even bananas have a fixed price at supermarkets, why not do so for expensive stuff like cars? There's so much haggling involved. You may end up paying 2000-2500 more or less for the same car on the same day depending upon just haggling. It's not the problem with just this dealer, every other car dealer. In summary, the guy I talked to was very friendly and nice, but overall the service was sloppy. I could have easily paid 1500-2000 more and higher interest (4% instead of 0.9%) if I sent my MOM to buy the car. You have to watch over these people like an eagle. I wish I could give you guys better reviews, but it's just the way it is. I just wanted to be fair. More
Terry Hanley the manager in the used car department is super friendly and gives a great deal... They get you great financing and as stated make the entire process Easy as can be..... I definitely would buy from them again... The sales person was Frank Mayfield and was very easy going and not pushy or overbearing .... He knew his job well and made us feel at ease with the entire process... Jenny the first person who answered the phone is very pleasant and a real treat on the eyes.... She is worth going there even if you aren't going to buy just to look at.... In fact, I was amazed at how friendly the entire staff in the used car section of Bel Air Honda was..... because of these people my daughter rode out the same day in a used Honda CR-V at a great deal..... -Don & Donna- More

Robert was a very low key salesman that was not pushy and fit our style. I thought the price was very good and with Robert,s style we decided not to shop to every dealer. He was a great fit for us. I contacted Bel Air (and numerous other dealers) via I contacted Bel Air (and numerous other dealers) via email regarding a new 2012 Honda Fit. Benjamin Morgan (from internet sales) contacted me via p I contacted Bel Air (and numerous other dealers) via email regarding a new 2012 Honda Fit. Benjamin Morgan (from internet sales) contacted me via phone and by email. I had indicated that I only wanted to communicate via email, but he seemed nice and enthusiastic on the phone, so I didn't particularly mind the calls. He offered a good on-the-road price (incl taxes, tags, title, fees, etc) -- in fact initially it was one of the best prices of the dealers that I communicated with. Later we arranged a time for me to view, and presumably purchase a car at the price we agreed on. I thought it would be a simple sale, and was looking forward to it. However, before driving out there, I asked that he confirm that the negotiated price 1) applied to numerous cars on the lot; and 2) asked that his manager --or whoever has final approval-- contact me and confirm this price. My goal was to have everything settled in advance via email, with no back and forth face-to-face haggling, and no surprises once I arrived. Benjamin confirmed numerous times that there were plenty of cars available at that price. In fact, only a few hours before traveling, he emailed me to say that another shipment had arrived. He also said that his manager would email or call me. NEITHER WAS TRUE. -The manager never contacted me. -Just before I left for our appointment, check in hand, Benjamin contacted me to say that, " well . . . actually, the price we negotiated only applied to one car, and it had just been sold." When I asked him to what the price would be on cars actually available, the price jumped upwards $1000. This second price was still fairly good, but not as good as some other offers I had received. So I decided to take my business elsewhere--somewhere that was more upfront, straight forward, and cheaper. Ultimately I purchased my car at Northwest Honda (not Bel Air) and am very happy with the price and treatment I received there. I'm not exactly angry at Bel Air Honda, but disappointed. If Benjamin at Bel Air had been honest, and told me from the beginning that he had one or two cars at X price, and others at a more expensive Y price, he may still have gotten my business. Instead he made promises he couldn't keep. Any purchase of a car, which is an expensive proposition and for most people only occurs several times in their life, is a matter of trust. Bel Air Honda didn't earn my trust. More
