I don't know what to say about my great experience with Hilinemotors and my salesman, Bob. I bought a Hummer H2 back in 2021. it was $10,000 below market value and had no accident. It was very clean it had Hilinemotors and my salesman, Bob. I bought a Hummer H2 back in 2021. it was $10,000 below market value and had no accident. It was very clean it had a great service history with new tires and was recently serviced and the fact that some how they were able to get me done even though the car was pretty old. if it wasn't for the friendly faces and the great deal I found off of true car I wouldn't have the best car I've ever owned. if zero stars were available that's what they would get. every word every other review has written is true. communication completely stops once they get the money paperwork didnt get sent until the very every word every other review has written is true. communication completely stops once they get the money paperwork didnt get sent until the very last day allowable by law( which the employee told me he planned on doing since he " knows the laws" ) paperwork wasn't correct, still isn't as of this review they told me they were sending the paperwork to a random title service( which my state doesn't use typically ) . when asked why they refuse to send the paperwork to the insurance agent as typical in my state, " I NEVER listen to the customer, I use Google" they didnt even send the paperwork to the title service they claimed they were going to. deceptive, rude, unknowledgeable , they lied and said they had the title, it was with the lean holder they won't give me the 2nd key the title was not clean, it was scribbled on which made it ineligible for transfer to me therefore I cannot title the car and I am stuck paying a loan on a car I cant use or sell they refuse to correct the title , they just ignore me they knew that would be the outcome, the sales guy said that to me on the phone they refused to answer emails, call etc. one employee screamed at me" I am from Brooklyn , we don't play that way" why is where he comes from important? that felt threatening , as it was supposed to be there are so many other good dealers , please go to them instead , if I had known before I entered into a deal with them, I would have run away. lesson learned, I stupidly assumed they had morals and decency. only dealers with something to hide behave this way. there was one very nice man I spoke with on the phone, I cant recall his name, he worked in the industry for 31 years, too bad he couldn't have conducted my entire transaction. I dealt with Steve and Gabe. It was impossible to get in touch with the owner . Texas DVM has the complaint. the AG wast very interested, which works to the dealers advantage Filing a law suit seems to be the only option if screwing people out of honestly paid money is their objective , they have won the game. if breaking xxxxx is their objective, they win that as well its disgusting and Karma has a way of taking care of these things , even if I never see the result . Think of a 1950's slimey, crooked used care dealer. .. that's HiLine Mortors. Everything wrong with the used car industry is epitiomized here. From the time I test drove and agreed to a price and actual .. that's HiLine Mortors. Everything wrong with the used car industry is epitiomized here. From the time I test drove and agreed to a price and actually picked up the auto, the dealership switched the front tires to ones with less tread than a baby's butt, scratched the side of the auto, and closed the hood on tools which poked a whole in the hood. I was offered to purchase tires using their "Discount Tire discount" at $100.00 more than I bought them myself. The Sales rep, Tommy, said "no problem, we can fix that". They scheduled me to come in for 5 hours while they "fixed" the problem... they brought in a vendor to dab some paint on a few scratches (that I didn't raise concerns about) and they buffed the rest of the auto. I was informed that "we can't fix the whole in the hood" but I could schedule another day to bring the auto in and they would work on another dent that would take "30 minuted". When they sent the final paperwork, they switched out the "We Owe" page to show nothing was owed. I took photos of the original "We Owe" page signed by the Sales rep stating that the dent's, whole, and scratches caused by the dealership would be repaired. I refused to sign the Docusign page and they processed the transaction anyway and are now giving me a runaround on the whole in the hood. This dealership is not trustworthy. More
Well now back to a 1 star simply due to 0 stars is not an option. It appears that calling out the misbehavior (outright lying by their sales staff) makes customers, “racist”. I had no idea that lying was a option. It appears that calling out the misbehavior (outright lying by their sales staff) makes customers, “racist”. I had no idea that lying was a trait specific and limited to any single race. No, lying to make a sale is the result of an absence of a moral compass. More
After my first review and being contacted by the Sales rep, Tommy, I am changing my review to a 5 star! If you want to deal with a despicably crooked company, I hightly reccomend HiLine Motors! Quote fro rep, Tommy, I am changing my review to a 5 star! If you want to deal with a despicably crooked company, I hightly reccomend HiLine Motors! Quote from Tommy's txt: "We didn't even make anything off your Car , couldn't even by my baby anything with that cheap commission ." How is that for after-purchase customer service! To be totally fair to Tommy, and per his suggestion, I should call out everyone involved ... so here goes... Steve Salerno sent the "Doctored" docusign showing that HiLine owed nothing else on the car. When questioned, Steve said, "we are way beyond that." General Sales Manager, Gabe Deleon replied to 1 of several emails requesting clarification of costs in writing. NOW to be totally fair to both Steve and Gabe, I don't believe either had knowledge of Tommy's promises. I believe that they were simply working out of common business practices with needed information being withheld. More
After my review above, which was accurate because their sales rep later emailed and apologized for his delay in responding, someone at this dealership responded with bunch of garbage, going back and readin sales rep later emailed and apologized for his delay in responding, someone at this dealership responded with bunch of garbage, going back and reading all my previous reviews and personally attacking me! Instead of simply saying that they were sorry for not getting back to me, like their salesperson did, they resorted to personal attacks against me! DOES A REPUTABL DEALERSHIP BEHAVES THAT WAY?! Please read other bad reviews about this dealership on BBB, Cars.com, Carfax, Yelp, DealerRate, etc., etc., and you'll see for yourself that the people in this dealership have major problems. I will also file a complaint with the Texas authorities against HiLine Motors for making a personal attack against me. More
Misrepresented a vehicle that I went and got a loan for, their description of a vehicle was a lie in which they misrepresented a vehicle in the specifications, actual model, horsepower and all. Both on t their description of a vehicle was a lie in which they misrepresented a vehicle in the specifications, actual model, horsepower and all. Both on their website and on EBay. Total scam of a dealership, I took out a loan for this vehicle. Good that I did not purchase airfare and hotel and saved myself! If I could give HILINE Motors out Texas a Zero Star I would! Garbage response to this dilemma that they created, with a GARBAGE ATTITUDE! How unprofessional of HILINE Motors. Do not trust this dealership! More
Beware if buying from this dealer remotely. When I received the car it was not as represented. I trusted Hiline but should have paid for a third party inspection. The transport driver was told When I received the car it was not as represented. I trusted Hiline but should have paid for a third party inspection. The transport driver was told I knew about the nicks and scratches—I DID not! You have to chase them for status. Communication is lacking. When you call, they are curt and not engaged in your concerns or buyer’s uncertainty. They did not do all items that were promised. I got the car and had to immediately take it to a shop to get items fixed to make the car reliable, totaling $6000.00+ (battery, antifreeze leaking out of the water pump, thermostats, steering wheel stuck in an unmovable position, brake lines, one key instead of the two, and this does not include fixing the nicks and scratches). Bottom line: don’t trust and verify EVERYTHING you’re told. More
Don’t trust this dealer! Unethical. Sold me a rust covered vehicle that they WRAPPED. $70k. When it started leaking and the rust was found they said. Sorry, we sell AS IS.
