It was quite the experience . .. buying a new car. Our daughter called ahead on the car we were going to look up and set us up with a sales person before we left to drive the hour .. buying a new car. Glenn was prepared and waiting outside for us as we arrived and we were in the car just minutes later as he went through all the buttons and switches. Then it was off to test drive it! We were driving a Honda Pilot from 2025 and it was brand new and a very special color for me! I believe the Dealership is worthy of five stars - but just our day they were short handed in Finance making our wait to finish our deal over two and a half hours before we could leave with a total of 6 1 just our day they were short handed in Finance making our wait to finish our deal over two and a half hours before we could leave with a total of 6 1/2 hours there. While I love my new car I bought Saturday, I did not expect a rude call on Monday from my sales person, when I sought a simple yes or no answer on a question in our purchase. Our 'stay' Saturday there was long, and they explained they were understaffed in finance and we had a sales person our daughter had contacted for us before we arrived at one in the afternoon... we drove the car immediately, Our sales person, Glenn, looked at my husband's trade in, but I did not know until then he was going to trade his truck in... we sat down to purchase my car. It took 40 min to come to a deal and then we sat and discussed it for another 45 min....and then we met Brian Mulligan... Sales Manager. We signed the deal... and then We sat. We sat. We walked the floors inside. We sat some more. It was 7:30 when we left with our new car. We had a full hour drive home. When we had a question arise today, I had to wait to get a simple yes or no answer until they opened the dealership on Monday. I spoke with their Sales Manager, Brian, who is the best at this dealership... he has been there many years and kind of heart, and he said he would be back with me with an answer to my yes or no question. Unfortunately for me, my sales person called me back and it was NOT the best response to DO NO HARM. I needed a yes or no... nothing else. The Sales Manager Brian called me back to share the No answer and I relayed my concern about the prior phone call. Overall, this truly seems like a great group of caring home town people from the greeters to the sales and the back office. It just took a really long time with them understaffed. Arriving at one and we left to go home at 7:30. At the time Glenn was helpful...and he got us on the road. My opinion of him fell today when he called me, I simply need the word YES or the word NO. We also were impressed the owner who does barbecue on Saturdays and we were able to snag the last hamburger and two hot dogs! Thank you Honda Cars of McKinney for Brian Mulligan and for Cody Wells... and my sweet Pilot I brought home! More
