Got my own inspection but I was told by Benjamin Alva got the run around had to go back 3 times. Already purchased car but they never did inspection. Got my own inspection but I was told by Benjamin Alvarez I had to get it done there. Ben quote "10/15 minutes tops and will reimburse my gas". Crock of crap. 1 1/2 hr. No gas $ plus receipt from mc Donald's in my car while they were supposedly doing inspection. Never got paper work regarding what they inspected. NEVER GO TO Honda city. They are full of lies . They suck More
I took my 2011 Honda Pilot for motor oil and transmission fluid change. Next they sent me a text with a report of many more items that required immediate attention among them a timing belt replacement for an fluid change. Next they sent me a text with a report of many more items that required immediate attention among them a timing belt replacement for an amount of $1384. I took my car somewhere else for this and paid a little less than $600 for this work. I went back to the dealer for coolant and brake fluid exchange. I again got a car report of many more items needed immediate attention than on the first report and among them the timing belt that was just replaced!!! I was also charged almost $50 more for the coolant and brake fluid exchange work than what they had quoted me. Their explanation was that the extra charge was for the old coolant and brake fluid disposal. That’s fine but why didn’t they include that in the quote??? In addition, my husband checked the coolant and brake fluid and levels are low. Why??? They just serviced the car for that yesterday!!!! They reported power steering pump was leaking but wasn’t leaking before!!! Thieves!!!! This place should be investigated! More
I had my vehicle towed in on Saturday. I told the advisor the car has no power in drive, I have a transmission light and an emissions light on, and also a transmission leak. They told me the cause of my issu the car has no power in drive, I have a transmission light and an emissions light on, and also a transmission leak. They told me the cause of my issue is a transmission pressure sensor and fill plug and to install a new one it’s gonna be 879 dollars. So I had them install the sensor. I get a text saying to call them as soon as I can. I call them, what they say is the tech installed the sensor and it still doesn’t have power in drive and now it needs a new transmission unit and it’s gonna cost 7000. I called the service manager and he tells me that it’s part of a process of elimination and that’s the first step. No one told me that. I was told that’s the pressure sensor is the issue. He lowered the first to 709 insisting they told me it’s a process and that’s the first step. 709 to tell me the sensor is not the issue and it’s need a 7000 transmission. I had my vehicle towed out and the whole process they acted like my vehicle wasn’t in the lot. I paid and they didn’t give me my car keys and they drove my car to the alley and had the tow truck driver go to a different lot to get the car. They made the whole process a mess. I’m never coming here again, I’m telling everyone about my experience here and telling them to stay away More

Deplorable customer service, shady business practices If you want to waste your time getting your car serviced, Honda City Chicago is perfect for you! I had my Honda Civic hybrid towed there for an engine If you want to waste your time getting your car serviced, Honda City Chicago is perfect for you! I had my Honda Civic hybrid towed there for an engine diagnostic (I made an appointment too). FOR FOUR DAYS I had to chase them down to confirm if technicians even got my car and get my car's diagnostic results, and got tons of attitude from the whole staff the entire time. Honda City Chicago then had the audacity to try and hike up the price from $125 to $185. Trash service! Trash car dealership! Take your money somewhere else & don't give it to this weak Honda dealership in Chicago. A diagnostic should not have been that deep. Thanks for nothing REX (the service manager) you're doing a fine job with team you got there. Linda & James saved u from getting a more scathing review so thank your only professionals in the whole dealership. Go to Fletcher Jones! The process was seamless. They took good care of me. More

Terrible and Unprofessional I had an emergency flat tire that needed to be take care of. I have Honda Care roadside assistance in which my car was towed to this dealer seeing as I had an emergency flat tire that needed to be take care of. I have Honda Care roadside assistance in which my car was towed to this dealer seeing as it was the nearest dealer. My car was towed at 9am and I still hadn't received any calls by 11am about my car. I called the dealer and they had no clue where my car was and it had not "been looked at yet" once they did find it. I got a call around 12:30pm to give me the estimates on the flat. At that point I requested to have my oil changed in addition to the flat tire since I was planning to take my car in on Monday to my own Honda Dealer. They said they would complete all maintenance without any problems and would give me a call when the service was complete. Several hours later I received no phone calls to let me know that my car was ready for pick-up. I called the dealer after work at 5:45pm and was placed on hold because they could not find any paperwork for me and had to look for my car. In the course of being on hold, they asked me 3 times what kind of car I had which tells me they weren't really listening the first time I told them. They asked me if I was told that my car would be ready for pick-up the same day. I told them that there was no reason that it shouldn't be done as my car arrived to their shop at 9am with a flat tire and needed only an oil change. I demanded that the car be fixed as I live more than an hour away from work and had no other way to get home. The gentlemen told me he would call me back and let me know what was going on and that he would have to call his manager Andres. 30 minutes later, still no return phone call. I called the service department back and this time they said they were going to complete my paperwork and that the car should be ready. I arrived to the service department around 7:00pm and paid for the service to find the cashier either texting or on facebook on her cell phone. As I approached the counter, she didn't even bother to look up but finished whatever she was doing on her cell phone before she asked what I needed. Upon paying the cashier, I asked if the oil change had been done, she replied with "yes." After a few minutes, she looked at the invoice "puzzled" and then asked me to sign. When I looked later on at the paperwork, there was no indication that the oil change had been done at all. When my car was brought around for pick-up by the service dept., the volume of the car radio was at 100% blasting music. I could hear the car radio from inside the shop. I never have my car radio on when I leave my car so I know it was the service men. I also noticed the radio channels had been changed. I don't know if these service men think they are driving their own cars but I was irate that they were screwing with a customers car as if it was their personal car. I still will now need to go and get my oil change on Monday from my own Honda Dealer which has 100% better service than this place and could of saved me a trip if they did what I asked them to do. I will never have my car taken to Honda City again for any kind of service even in an emergency. More
Nightmare availing dent warranty and screw up install Bought odyssey with dent warranty and they install entertainment system as add-on. After a year we called for an appointment to fix the dent but when Bought odyssey with dent warranty and they install entertainment system as add-on. After a year we called for an appointment to fix the dent but when we arrived they said we didn't have an appointment. I even called twice b4 coming in to confirm coz we leave in round lake which is an hour drive to pulaski. Me and my husband had to debate so hard just to accommodate us coz it's not our fault. We even took day off coz they only do dent repair on a weekday. Today we have an appointment to fix the door lock which I scheduled a week ago and now they're saying again we don't have an appointment in their system. That's not only what's pissing me off, gurnee dealer refused to fix the door lock coz they said the wiring was tampered when entertainment system was installed so we have to bring it back to pulaski dealer. It's already a nightmare to drive to pulaski and then they keep mesing up our appointment in their system. We'll never buy again a car from honda city. More
