I decided I wanted to deal with Honda again and wanted a CR-V or HR-V this time around. I was greeted upon exiting my car and and began my appointment on time and left with a new car. Joy Spencer and Brian Emmerich did everything and all I had to do was initial and sign the papers. They both made the process so easy for me that I would definitely recommend Honda of Concord to family and friends. More

Excellent cooperation and flexibility My wife and I shop for cars differently than the average buyer. We start by renting vehicles when we travel. We use those experiences to determine the My wife and I shop for cars differently than the average buyer. We start by renting vehicles when we travel. We use those experiences to determine the brands we enjoy and then pare the list of vehicles we would consider buying based on Consumer Reports evaluations and reliability findings. we pick three brands, then determine the type of vehicle we want (sedan, SUV, truck, etc.). We narrow the choices to three or four and then start looking at dealerships. We test drive all the vehicles at the respective dealerships and determine the target dealer, the one at which we believe we will find the best information, service department and incentives. We pick three vehicles we could accept as our final choice and test drive each of those. We construct an evaluation grid that compares the characteristics and features and options we might be interested in. By this time, we have been looking for about 18 months. We try to time our purchases to fall in late Julyu or Late August, which seems to be the time most dealerships offer the best deals and the most valuable incentives. We determine the MSRP, invoice price and price as we want the vehicles configured using CR, USAA and TruCar services. We negotiate a deal for each of the vehicles at each dealership, often using the offers from one dealer to leverage pricing power at the next. We negotiate for a price that is en excellent price, no more than $200 over invoice. We sometimes are able to negotiate prices that are below what is reported to be the invoice price. It is not uncommon for us to walk away from a deal that isn't good enough and then return, either at the sales rep's invitation or at a later date on our own initiative with an offer that is $50 higher than the one we walked away from. we don't do trade-ins and we don't discuss financing until AFTER we negotiate the full, drive-away price for the vehicle, including taxes, tags, delivery, all options and all other "extra" charges. We never buy extended warrantees. (Instead of an extended warrantee, we set aside money in a savings account for unanticipated repair costs. We don't use it very often.) We will, depending on the value offered, pay cash, do a bank loan, finance through USAA or lease, but whichever way we finance the purchase is designed to keep cash cash flow reasonable and total cost at a minimum. Buying this way requires cooperation from the dealership and the sales representative. It is also time intensive but it has paid off with what is usually a good, comfortable, unemotional buying decision. Itv works for us and we enjoy the process. The dealerships usually don't. Our most recent buying experience was at Honda of Concord. They allowed us to do several test drives on several vehicles, some with the sales rep and some without, and some even overnight as we neared a final choice. The managers, service technicians, sales people and clerical staff were always courteous and patient as we worked our way through our preferred buying process. Delivery was a challenge because the dealership didn't have the exact vehicle we wanted. It took a month to find the vehicle, arrange for an in-transit swap with another dealership and get the vehicle delivered with the preferred trim level, color, options and accessories. Our sales rep stayed on top of the process and kept us informed as it played out. We were very pleased and satisfied with the dealership from top to bottom and from start to finish. We got an excellent vehicle for an excellent price. More

Easy, Efficient, and Customer Centric Experience This was my family's first Honda purchase, a 2018 Odyssey. After months of debating whether or not we wanted a minivan, we came across the newly redes This was my family's first Honda purchase, a 2018 Odyssey. After months of debating whether or not we wanted a minivan, we came across the newly redesigned fifth generation Odyssey. We test drove at another dealer and then began the search for the best deal since we were trading in a car we had only owned for 2 years. Honda of Concord was the last dealership we contacted but they were the most responsive and understanding of our situation. Everyone took the time to fully understand our needs (and wants) and worked to ensure they were met. I started conversing with Carson, who worked out the numbers with the purchase and the trade. While he did not beat the price of the van I had received at another dealer (don't fret, it was not by much), he was able to cut more than my trade's buyout to help make up some of the difference. Once all that the finances were figured out, Joy joined the conversation and knocked the ball out of the park. Every question I had was answered within a few minutes by text, often accompanied by pictures for visual aid if needed. Once we decided to make the deal after pre-approval with our credit and situating the payment where we wanted, Joy and the team worked to find the color van we wanted since they didn't have it on the lot and had it in hand ready to go within a few hours the following day (we made our decision to buy the van late one evening). Joy made sure to schedule our arrival at the dealership to sign the paperwork so that we weren't there longer than necessary (she knew we would have two small children in tow). Though that process took a little longer than expected once we arrived, we were understanding as we saw the traffic in and out of the showroom. As we waited Joy didn't leave our side; she went ahead and started to discuss our preferences for the Odyssey (given there is so much technology they ask how you want certain functions to work) until Kevin in finance was ready for me to process all the paperwork. Kevin had everything printed and ready, described all the figures and notes in full detail, and we were out of his office in 15 minutes. The van was waiting for us out front along with Joy who was eager to explain some of the amazing features of the Odyssey - from the RES to the tailgating capability 3rd row to 2nd row magic four-way sliding seats. She also went ahead and preset our preferences for some of the functionality as a result of the conversation we had with her earlier. My family loaded the car and we were off. Joy even checked in the next day to see how we were enjoying the van. First rate dealership through and through. If and when we are ready to buy another car - new or used - we will definitely visit Honda of Concord. I highly recommend Joy and am grateful to have purchased a car with her as our sales partner. Knowledgeable, understanding, efficient, and energetic. Joy and the team made us feel like family and we were catching up after not seeing one another for a while. Thank you Carson, Joy, and Kevin. Our family is thrilled with the Odyssey and only wish we were closer to stop in and say hi when the car will need service. More
