He took care of almost all the minute details, and made sure that they were ready not only to match the best offer that I had received from other competitors, but also to give me a better deal than anyone else. Robert and Bernard too were very amicable and gave the right advice where ever necessary. In all I would recommend Honda of Toms River to all my friends and family. I shopped around and returned to Dave and he was able to practically match the other quote, adding free oil changes for life and 10K/100 my Odyssey. I received a qoute through the Costco Auto Program and called TR Honda to see if they can meet the prices, they couldn't which was fine, they tried and they couldn't, the sales person Chrissy was very hel called TR Honda to see if they can meet the prices, they couldn't which was fine, they tried and they couldn't, the sales person Chrissy was very helpful on the phone. I then stopped in the dealer to show my familty the car I was going to buy from another dealer, at which point the SALES MANAGER told me he WOULD meet the price and get the car for me from another dealer. After staying at the dealer for about an hour, I gave him my number, they looked at my trade and he agreed they would meet the price woute I received from another dealer. Two days later...never heard from him. I called dealer, of course he was off for the day and the new sales person on the phone gives me a run around, tells me that they will meet price but I have to come in and sign papers/leave deposit blah blah blah. I say...sure I will do that, I just want it in a Email that you will meet that price. I already had the car I wanted waiting for me at another dealer, at the price I wanted, and I didn't want to loose the car. Of course they wouldn't do that. Gave me a bull crap story that Sales Mgr was off, they can't verify...I said can't you pick up the phone and call him?? I heard silence on the other end of the call for 30 seconds. Bottom line....STAY AWAY from this dealer! Go to DCH in Eatontown, great dealership, great sales people and they honor their committements! More
I had been shopping for a new Honda CRV for the past two weeks. All the dealerships that I had visited before Honda of Toms River, we're impersonal, rude and not willing to work with my budget to get me int weeks. When we arrived at Honda of Toms River, David Beaton, greeted us , and began helping us through the process, We agreed on a price, they located the vehicle, and delivered it the next day. This vehicle is for my wife, and on the evening that we picked up the vehicle, David spent a significant amount of time going over every function,switch, feature,and driver comfort that the new vehicle had. We left there,feeling secure, an basically understanding how to operate the new CRV, this was especially important, since it was raining!!!, I am 54 yrs. old, amn never had a vehicle delivered to me with this much attention given to the buyer at delivery. We were just about ready to give up and take our 3 year old leased Accord to Florida When we decided to stop in at Honda of Toms River. It was the most unexpected pleasure we've ever encountered when negotiating an auto lease. David Beaton was exceptional as a salesperson, Vin was a pleasure to deal with, and the price was what I was looking for. And this was all done within one hour. We love our Honda and will not look anywhere else when it's time to renew our lease. There was no pressure at anytime and when we were done, it was like saying goodbye to family. When we completed the paperwork the next day with Bernard, it was another pleasant day with no pressure. More
