After buying a used car at this dealership I returned once to have the oil changed. That was a bit expensive and the service people suggested some unnecessary repairs. A few months later there was a recall on the car and I brought the car in again. When i came to pick it up on a Friday afternoon I was told by the service manager not to drive the car too far - it needed a new transmission! When i asked to speak to the mechanic I was told he was too busy and not allowed into the service area. The next week I brought the car to another mechanic who test drove the car and could find nothing wrong. Since then I've driven the car 45,000 miles with no transmission issues. How dishonest can a car dealer get? More

This is the first time I have had my 2012 VW Beetle serviced. The experience was eerie. It brought me back to when I had a 1966 VW Bug. No matter how old she became (she "died" with 120k miles on he serviced. The experience was eerie. It brought me back to when I had a 1966 VW Bug. No matter how old she became (she "died" with 120k miles on her), she always ran like new after a scheduled service. Same thing with this service. She was clean, ran like a top and any concerns were addressed, except for the little noise, which the technician, of course, could not reproduce. (I think I have figured out why technicians can never reproduce the noises we hear so easily - they don't take the ear protection out when they take our cars for test drives.) More
Set up and appointment for my 30k mile service online on Monday for Wednesday, and they took my car in right away when I arrived. Carla was very friendly, attentive, thorough and understanding. I told her things I wanted the service crew to check out, and she notated it all in the service write-up. She also went through what was going to be done for the 30k service, and I was surprised there was going to be no charge for any of the work, despite the car having been purchased used (CPO) from the dealer. The service did take over an hour, but it involved changing the oil and filter, flushing the brake fluid, checking the brakes, along with a couple of other things I wanted them to look over, plus they brought my car to the carwash and washed it (without asking me) and it looked cleaner than it did when I first bought it. The only negative is that they must've used a brush at the carwash as there were some swirls in the paint; next time I will ask them not to use any brushes when they wash the car. When the car was ready, Carla had me sign off on another form that had detailed notes for everything done to the car and all of my concerns from earlier were addressed on it (she also recapped this info verbally). Next time, I will also try to set my appointment for a day and time my salesman (Fran Fuchs) will be there, so I can say hi. More

I was granted an appointment for same day service. Service advisors were accommodating and friendly. They explained service rendered and answered questions asked. They were professional and very courtesy. The anit-thief lug was missing from my car of only a year old so when I took it to a NYS Inspection station they could not remove the wheels to check the brakes and lug was missing from my car of only a year old so when I took it to a NYS Inspection station they could not remove the wheels to check the brakes and failed my vehicle. They go that extra mile to insure that when you leave, no matter what you stopped in for you have a smile on your face. I've owned 10 VW's since 1964 including Jettas, Campers, GTIs in California and New York. Sure I've purchased or leased other makes but I always return to VW because they are all fun to drive, don't break the bank and are incredibly dependable. I was going to another dealer for a few years but once I discovered Hudson Valley VW I will never go anywhere else to purchase or lease a new VW. You should also know that they are not the most convenient to where I live; I drive an hour and a half to get there. They are that good! More
