After purchasing a Volkswagen vehicle earlier this year, I discovered it was defective. Our attempts to address the issue led us through a disheartening cycle of blame-shifting between Volkswagen's Customer I discovered it was defective. Our attempts to address the issue led us through a disheartening cycle of blame-shifting between Volkswagen's Customer CARE and the dealership. Volkswagen of the Hudson Valley, particularly the unfriendly staff in the parts department, pointed fingers at Customer CARE, citing a six-month wait for a critical part. Shannon, the parts manager, repeatedly blamed Danielle and I by saying we downloaded the VW APP wrong. What compounds our frustration is the personal toll this situation has taken on us. Multiple trips to Volkswagen of the Hudson Valley, with unfriendly encounters at the parts department, resulted in over 500 additional miles on our leased vehicle. We've incurred additional expenses for gas and tolls, and precious days of our time have been wasted on the phone and in person. When we sought accountability from the sales manager, Chip Papa and Chris Gavin, they acknowledged the issues but, unfortunately, offered empty promises. He pledged to explore alternatives like transitioning us into a new 2024 model or waiving payments to compensate for the months we had paid in full for a defective vehicle. Regrettably, these promises remain unfulfilled, leaving us in a state of utter frustration. See attachments below. Our experience epitomizes a larger problem within Volkswagen of the Hudson Valley – a complete lack of accountability and resolution. Everyone involved seems to be pointing fingers at one another, leaving consumers like us in a perpetual state of limbo with no tangible solutions in sight. Their Finance manager Kevin Stated it is above his pay grade to get any resolution with this matter. Chip Popa stated, "you paid for the steak and fries and you only received half a steak and no fries." Yet full payments were made every month with no offsetting for the defective vehicle. More

I would recommend this dealer for sales. I was very happy with their sales customer service and time taken to make sure I was getting the car I wanted at a good price. However, I strongly advise caution with the service department. Customer service doesn’t match the sales department, unfortunately. They want you to pay for work before even providing an estimate - so you have to gamble on whether or not something is under warranty and agree to an hour’s diagnostic fee before you know if it’s covered. Never had a dealership pull that one before, and I’ve gone to other dealership service departments for other car makes. Service manager was rude and aggressive. I will not be going back. More
On my home home from work Wednesday night my clutch pedal got stuck to the floor, I called Hudson valley Volkswagen and they said to drop it off and they would look at it first thing in the morning. First thing in the morning I got a call from the service writer Deborah Paravati and they said my car was already in the shop, part was in stock and it would be ready for pick up later that day! They removed the transmission replaced the slave cylinder and reinstalled transmission, washed the car and vacuumed the inside and had the car car to me in under 24 hours! outstanding service very highly recommend More

I went to have my water pump fixed and needles to say I left very unhappy because shannon Walters refused my service that was covered under my warranty when my father was asking questions she could not ans left very unhappy because shannon Walters refused my service that was covered under my warranty when my father was asking questions she could not answer my father also works for Volkswagen in a different area and does business with this location I always come here to have my car serviced on a regular and they have made mistakes and forgot to put parts back on my car but when I would call they would get me right in to fix there mistakes but this time was very different and I will not go back to this location again sorry I dont want to give you any stars because that's how unhappy I was but I have to give you one More
