***DO NOT PATRONIZE*** - We purchased a used vehicle from this dealership on March 8, 2022. We have already put close to $5,000 into this vehicle since we've purchased it. The dealership cleared the diagno this dealership on March 8, 2022. We have already put close to $5,000 into this vehicle since we've purchased it. The dealership cleared the diagnostic codes to where they could not be seen nor detected. Almost 30 days later, there are diagnostic codes that continue to pop up that are major, deeming the vehicle unsafe to drive unless the issues are fixed. The Salesman, Finance, Service people have NOT been helpful whatsoever. While you're in the dealership, prior to signature, they are all onboard and ready to assist and help as best they can. As soon as you sign your name, they are then paid by the finance company and the dealership considers your account closed with them and no longer have or want the communication with you! Their attitudes totally change. They do not return phone calls although they tell you they will! They do not send you information although they tell you they will! They will not mail you the final paperwork of everything you signed although they tell you they will! I have taken accountability because I did go against my BETTER judgement and with ALL of the foreseen concerns, I purchased the vehicle anyway! Totally my bad! I just warn you to please ask as many questions (which I did but was lied to) as you can and if you are not comfortable DO NOT SIGN at this dealership because they WILL NOT make it right! More
Worst trade in experience over ever had. I’ve been thinking about trading in my white 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SE for a new Santa Fe and I decided to look at Sutherlin. I work right around the corner from the dealership so I figured doing business with them would be really convenient. I was really hoping it would work out. It didn’t, to say the least. Everything was going good until they put their offer in front of me. Not only did they offer below Kelly blue book value, their offer was lower than any other dealership I’ve been to in the last few days. My 19 Santa Fe is below 50,000 miles and two other Hyundai dealerships I’ve been to has said it would be certified pre-owned if it sold so I’m not coming up with numbers in my head. I’ve done my due diligence and I have done my homework to know my cars value that’s in great condition. By doing an extensive online search for cars on the market within 100 miles of my location that matched my vehicles specs as closely as possible, I only saw 8 available (12 if you omit vehicle color) and not one was under $25k. Another dealership down the road who has no association to Sutherlin offered me $4,500 more than what the Hyundai dealership offered. I honestly couldn’t believe they would low ball me, a current Hyundai customer! Mind you, I truly am looking for a dealership to do business with in my area for the long haul. Sutherlin Hyundai wasn’t the place, unfortunately. The ONLY Hyundai dealership in the Athens area. Talk about inconvenience. All because they chose to be dishonest and tried to swindle potential local customers. If you’re like me, a person who just wants a fair deal for both parties involved, don’t make the mistake of wasting your time at this dealership. P.S - No fault to the salesman who helped me. He was patient and easy to talk to. Not pushy like other salespeople I’ve worked with in the past from other dealerships. It’s ashamed upper management ruined his sale today. I wish him nothing but success! More
I went in to test drive a car for my 17 year old daughter. Nicole was wonderful to work with. The issue was the walk out the door price was almost $6000 more than asking price. They wanted to charge daughter. Nicole was wonderful to work with. The issue was the walk out the door price was almost $6000 more than asking price. They wanted to charge $1500 for an inspection fee, that they took in on a trade. The second huge fee was almost $1400 for non-GA tax, supposedly to keep me from being charged double taxes by the state. We have bought several cars and motorcycles over the past two years and I have never paid such fees. I will be driving two hours away to buy the same car for walk out price of $4500 below there's, only with 10k more miles. No other dealership that I have dealt with has ever charged all of these fees. I wished I would have taken a picture of it. More

I was so disappointed in the service or lack thereof at this Hyundai. Not only did their online appointment not go through the girl at the front said it just hasn't been working. Second I emailed to t this Hyundai. Not only did their online appointment not go through the girl at the front said it just hasn't been working. Second I emailed to try to make the appointment and had no answer back for days or at all. Today when I went in after making an appointment by phone call the service manager called me back and was extremely rude not even addressing me by my name and very defensively explaining why the recall did not cover something I'd asked about. I don't understand how businesses can exist without respect an integrity and just simple friendliness. I will be trying the Buford Hyundai and hoping for better results on my recall More
These people are none other than your typical xxxx of the earth, scam artist car dealership with Andre Smith, the general manager, and Richard O’Neal, the sales manager, being the master xxxx bags. I drove earth, scam artist car dealership with Andre Smith, the general manager, and Richard O’Neal, the sales manager, being the master xxxx bags. I drove over an hour to this place with the idea that I would be getting the vehicle price that was listed on THEIR website. Lo and behold, I was told that they had no idea why the price was listed as such online but that the actual price is significantly higher - a good $3000 higher. Mind you, this car was advertised at a discounted price, one of which they absolutely refused to honor. I was later told by Andre, their general manager, that this additional fee was for various reasons mainly for market adjustments. I quickly pointed out that their disclaimer on their website does not mention anything about “market adjustments” not being included in that discounted price. Therefore, I stated that this is false advertising, which is it. I was rudely corrected by Andre, that no it was not, in fact, false advertising and insisted that “trust me, we’re legally covered”. He then proceeded to say that other dealerships will try and hide this fee by way of offering dealership additions, like a protection package. So, I said okay does this vehicle have a protection package then? He says no, and proceeded to make a baffling but unsurprising claim that most dealerships that say they added protections packages to their vehicles never actually do. So I responded, “Oh so you’re committing fraud then?” Of course he denied it. To summarize the whole thing, I wasted 3 hours of my life that I will never get back that were basically spent being insulted, deceived, condescended and lied to by these slimy dirt bags that claim to have your best interest at heart but really are looking for any opportunity to fill their greedy little pockets. I went there alone as a young female and have no doubt that these people were trying to take advantage of what they thought was an ignorant girl with no knowledge of how car buying works. In summation, do your homework everyone, and don’t let rotten people like this take advantage of you. More
