I had damage to a wheel and 2 tires from a road hazard due to construction on the interstate. Our extended warranty - Blue Steel Protection - which was supposed to cover such road hazards (this protectio due to construction on the interstate. Our extended warranty - Blue Steel Protection - which was supposed to cover such road hazards (this protection was not purchased at this dealership) called the damage "cosmetic" and refused to cover the repairs and replacement parts. The Hyundai service department deemed the damage to be unsafe, rather than cosmetic, and interceded with the Blue Steel warranty company. Cheryl Buck was very thorough in trying to convince them about the actual damage to the tires and the wheel, contacting them more than once. She was not successful, and we are very upset with the refusal of the company to provide the coverage we paid for - but Cheryl went way above the call of duty to help us. Our experience at Hyundai was rewarding, in that the work was well done, and employees give more than lip service to the policy of customer service - they actually go to bat for their customers. More
It was a fun afternoon - hot late summer. My wife and I had been sifting through the internet for days, for just the right car and pretty much found it at Hyandai of St. Augustine. (It got very busy later on.) The sales guys were cordial and polite and well, civil and friendly but not gushy. We had made arrangements by calling ahead and were met with welcome aboard sign at the front door. We chatted with the salesmen, took a long test drive and settled in for the usual lengthy offer/counter session where the salesman goes back to talk to the manger - back and forth until you're so tired, you either leave or reluctantly accept just to get out of there. Didn't happen! We all seemed to be working to get us into the car we wanted, at the right price, with the right terms. And, we did. We got the car we wanted and were happy with it. Bottom line: customer focus made the day. We enjoyed it and will not hesitate to pass the word. More

As a matter of fact every employee I came in contact with was friendly and enthusiastic which has not been the case in my past experiences with car dealerships. Joey was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough from the test drive to the time I took delivery of my new 2013 Sonata!! When it came time to negotiate the numbers (the part I do not look forward to!) Joey and Jimmy made it so easy and simple. The price was cut and dry, they were more than fair with my trade and when it came time to sign the paperwork with the Finance Manager Dave my payment was right where I wanted it! To top everything off the owner Andrew DiFeo came out and congratulated me on my purchase and thanked me for my business. Seriously.... I've purchased many vehicles in my life and have never been greeted by or even seen the owner! My whole experience at Hyundai of St Augustine was fantastic and I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know, not to mention how pleased I am with my new Sonata! MY WIFE AND I SET OUT TO LEASE A NEW CAR IN THE ST. AUGUSTINE AREA. AFTER VISITING ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WE WERE NOT HAPPY SINCE THEY COULD NOT MEET THE FINANCIAL NEEDS WE REQUIRED. AFTER LEAVNG THERE WE ASSUMED THAT OUR SEARCH TO FIND WHAT WE NEEDED WAS GOING TO BE A LONG ONE. AFTER A SHORT TIME WE NOTICED THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP IN ST. AUGUSTINE SO WE DECIDED TO PULL IN TO SEE WHAT WE COULD DO THERE. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE. FROM THE MOMENT WE WALKED IN TO THE TIME WE LEFT WE WERE TREATED AS THOUGH WE WERE THEIR ONLY CUSTOMER. OUR SALESMAN RONALD COPELAND BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO TRY TO MEET OUR NEEDS(even gave us fruit bars and water).WE TRIED OUT SEVERAL CARS AND FINALLY SETTLED ON THE SONATA. THEN RON AND JIMMY FELICIANO(SALES MGR)WORKED HARD TO REACH OUR REQUIRED FINANCIAL NEEDS. WE FINALLY WERE ABLE TO REACH THAT NEED AND WE GOT MORE IN THE CAR WE LEASED THAN WE EXPECTED. EVERYONE WE DEALT WITH WAS FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED EVERY DETAIL OF THE TRANSACTION AND ANSWERED ALL OUR QUESTIONS. THIS WAS A VERY PLEASENT EXPERIENCE FOR US AND WE LOVE THE CAR. David met me about 35 minutes away as I needed to drop my previous lease vehicle at a different dealership. He had the car I called about ready and went over everything with me. I had to think about this but I have purchased 9 new vehicles ranging from small 2 door cars to large SUV's as well as 11 new motorcycles in my lifetime. I have mainly owned Ford's and Harley Davidson vehicles ranging from small 2 door cars to large SUV's as well as 11 new motorcycles in my lifetime. I have mainly owned Ford's and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Each trip to purchase a new vehicle or motorcycle was never pleasant because no matter how much research I did, I always wondered the next day if I got a good deal. Upon the recommendation of my brother, who has owned many different types of vehicles, I decided to test drive his Hyundai Sante Fe 4 cylinder. It was approximately 100 degrees out and there were 3 adults in the vehicle with the a/c on. I was amazed at the power and response from the vehicle. I went on the Internet and emailed St. Augustine Hyundai and was impressed to get an email back from the owner who I knew from his other dealerships in New Jersey. I did some research and compared Fords 3/36 to Hyundai's 10/100 warrantee. I went to Ford where I have purchased most of my other vehicles as well as where we get our fleet vehicles from. They could not beat the warrantee but offered my an extended service plan at additional cost. I will admit it was hard to leave the dealership I had purchased almost all of my vehicles from. I do not buy a vehicle on my first trip to the dealer but this time it was different. I went to St. Augustine Hyundai of a Friday evening and test drove a few vehicles. I selected the one I liked and got the price. I was shown the dealers tissue and the amount taken off the MSRP and then the rebates that would be applied. I was also given the trade in price for my Ford Escape. I asked for a slightly higher trade in amount to offset my final price and it was given to me. I bought the vehicle that night and picked it up the following Sunday. It should be noted that I did not intend on financing the vehicle but because of 0/36 financing, I did and received an additional $500.00 rebate. On top of the great price I got, one has to factor in the free oil changes and roadside assistance that the dealer offers inclusive in the price. When I took delivery of my new Sante Fe, it was detailed to perfection. I could not find anything about the condition that was less than perfect. I have owned the vehicle for approximately 6 weeks now and have a little over 1,400 miles on it. On a trip from Florida to New Jersey I got 25.9 miles per gallon average in the economy mode running with a/c on the entire distance. There is not one thing I do not like about my Sante Fe Limited. It is made in America, the warrantee is great and I doubt if anyone can get a better price when the rebates and discounts are factored in. This is the first time I have not woke up with buyers remorse the next day wondering "what if." Andrew, Kyle, Wade and the finance person were great to deal with and I will remain a loyal customer from this point on. More
