It was taken in for their "mechanics" to look at several times and returned several times for the same problem after they supposedly fixed it. They do not return phone calls and if you go in personally they hide. If you value customer service I would stay away from this place. i hope no one else has to go through what I have. More
I received excellent service by all involved and got a great price on my vehicle. I also received a quick and thorough follow-up after inquiring about the vehicle online. I would definitely recommend this great price on my vehicle. I also received a quick and thorough follow-up after inquiring about the vehicle online. I would definitely recommend this dealership. My spouse & I went to check out a car from Indy Auto Man recently. We had the car checked by a local mechanic and they didn’t note any major issues except 4 different tires (most were bald) and the radi Man recently. We had the car checked by a local mechanic and they didn’t note any major issues except 4 different tires (most were bald) and the radio didn’t work. There were a few other cosmetic issues that we expected with a used car. Since we live 2+ hours away, we wanted to negotiate the price down rather than wait or come back for repairs. We were told by the service guy that the amplifier was taken out of this car to put into another one of the same model. They also told us repeatedly “this is a used car” as an excuse for every issue, but it became apparently they had harvested some parts from this car. We finally negotiated and agreed to a lesser purchase price understanding that we would take care of getting repairs done, which the sale person, Alan Wilberding, verbally had approved by the manger, Victor, in back. After the sales person wrote up the contract and we signed, they took it to the manager. After a few minutes, the manager told the sales person that there was a misunderstanding and that he couldn’t sell the car for the agreed upon price. The difference was $500. WE ALREADY HAD A WRITTEN & SIGNED CONTRACT WHICH THEY TRIED TO CHANGE AT THE LAST MINUTE, but they said they wouldn’t honor it since the manager didn’t sign off. I WOULD RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR CONTRACT WRITTEN AND SIGNED BY THE MANAGER BEFORE YOU SIGN OFF. Due to other commitments that day, we didn’t stay to fight the issues and we obviously didn’t purchase the vehicle. We left feeling very angry & frustrated with all the time wasted with these shady car sales people. I would not recommend this used car dealer to anyone. More
I purchased a 2007 BMW x3 on 6/19/13 and was pleased...until I purchased a 2007 BMW x3 on 6/19/13 and was very pleased with the service from first contact, to financing, to post purchasing service. I had a coupl I purchased a 2007 BMW x3 on 6/19/13 and was very pleased with the service from first contact, to financing, to post purchasing service. I had a couple of minor issues with the BMW after driving it for a couple days and after contacting my salesman, they took care of everything no questions asked. Unfortunately problems have continue and bills have mounted, I have recently found out the car had been totaled by their insurance company, Erie Insurance, but they never titled it as such. This is illegal in the state of Indiana per statute IC 9-22-3-3 and after titling you must inform the buyer according to statute IC 9-22-3-18.5 all of this info can be found at http://www.in.gov/legislative/ic/code/title9/ar22/ch3.html . They have produced a document that I did sign stating in their handwriting that the car was a total loss on carfax, but I did not have a copy of that form in my packet and I believe it was added after I signed it. The verbiage is in big bold letters, I would not have missed it!! Even with this information, they clearly knew this was a total loss vehicle and never titled it as such, which is a violation of Indiana Law and you can find on the website that I provided. This is the official Indiana Government website, feel free to double check for yourself, but be very cautious before buying a vehicle from them!!!!!!! More
I bought a used 2009 Honda CRV from Victor at Indy Auto Man about a month ago. It was my first time financing a car on my own and Victor couldn't have made it easier for me! I was worried with my work sche Man about a month ago. It was my first time financing a car on my own and Victor couldn't have made it easier for me! I was worried with my work schedule that I would be too busy to complete the process, but he made it very easy by staying in touch and answering questions through text messaging when I wouldn't have time to make a phone call. I know I made the right decision by buying my new car from Indy Auto Man and I can't see myself ever car shopping elsewhere. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone in the process of looking for a new vehicle. Couldn't be happier! More
Scam, buyer beware. You will drive off the lot with a busted vehicle. Their warranty is crap because they won't fix your car. They buy cars at auction tell you its been inspected and sell them with seri busted vehicle. Their warranty is crap because they won't fix your car. They buy cars at auction tell you its been inspected and sell them with serious mechanical problems. I bought one car that seemed fine, didn't even get it into the driveway before the radiator blew up. They towed it, said it was fixed but got it back only to find out that it had a bad power steering rack as well, leaking everywhere. I demanded my money back,(since they had my car longer than I did), they told me I could trade it in for what I paid towards a different car. Against my will I switched for a VW, and it has a bad differential, busted headlight housings, all mismatched tires(on a all wheel drive is not good), jacked up LCD screen,(which they fixed after a month but they broke my turn signal indicators and my tachometer), and I am sure the more I drive the more will go wrong. These people are crooked as xxxx, and I am considering following up with legal council. See ya soon Indy auto man, karma is soon to catch up with you. More
