Mr. Berry, on 6/18/18 you brought your 2014 Chrysler Town & Country in for a routine oil change and wanted us to find the cause of a coolant leak. We performed the oil change and while doing our inspection for the coolant leak we found the coolant inlet housing on the passenger side of the engine leaking coolant from the gasket. We also found the front engine mount loose and the driver side front cross-member lower bolt showed to have road rash on it. When we gave you an estimate on the things we found you declined the repairs. On 7/3/18 you returned with your vehicle and informed us you had notified your insurance company and they would be sending an adjuster to our facility to inspect the vehicle for damage. It is not uncommon for insurance adjusters to visit our site for customer-initiated claims. However, it is rare that an adjuster will call us or alert us as to when they will arrive. We don’t control their schedules. We do assist the adjuster by moving or lifting the vehicle, providing repair history or clarifying technical terms, but ultimately the decision to approve or deny a claim lies solely on the adjuster and insurance company… despite what we want or think. Mr. Berry, we will always work hard, do our best and be an unbiased and honest liaison to the insurance companies for our customers. We would have loved the opportunity to perform the repairs to your vehicle, but for reasons unbeknownst to us, and decisions out of our control, we will not be able to. We appreciate all of our customers and will always work hard to treat them with courtesy and respect.
