Costly Went down for a additional key (Helena to Missoula). I mentioned a yellow light had come on and Dan? said he would scan codes. At the end of producing the 300 dollar key we were told there was a recall and that the light was a rear oxygen exhaust sensor. They needed to order part and would do both on Dec 26, One o'clock. We drive the 120 miles, Bonnie checks us in. Two 1/2 hours later we are told the recall is done, We needed to reschedule the sensor job and needed to pay 125 for a rescaning of codes. (you know the one they already did and auto parts places do for free. In total this was suppose to cost 462 dollars. They rescinded the $125 fee, -they had never ordered part,- we left. On Dec 31 Bonnie calls and says part is in. The day before (30th) I visited a independent mechanic in Helena who does VW. He scanned it for free, reset code and light is now out. No worries, he's getting me one , will install 4 me. Cost expected 2-3 hundred. I tell Bonnie this and she wants to rescind the "good will" free scan" I was granted. I've got a copy that say's N/C So good luck with that one. I gave 3 for Dan? the first guy. Heck of a nice guy, He may be to blame for the part not being there but if he is, mistakes happen. That scanning charge (takes 3 Min), that was over the top. Another poster mentions it as well. More

My guess would be the 19 year old kid wasn’t paying attention. Take your car to any mechanic and it’s going to cost a pretty penny. But I tell you what. These guys know their vw and have never done me wrong. Any minor problems I had (because I’m super anal about anything to do with my vehicles) they were more than happy to compensate or walk me through any process I was uncomfortable with so that I would be happy. And the sales team and management is amazing too. I’ve gone back for multiple cars now primarily based on that. If you just want a “cold and to the point dealer” go somewhere else. These guys and girls make you truly feel valued appreciated and part of the entire VW family. Remember, this is a lifestyle, not just a car. More

They will charge you without notification! Be wary of unexpected charges at this dealership, I was charged $125 without being notified. I was called 2 times with updates on my car, one of which asking if I would pay $19 for fuel additive, I agreed. A $125 charge for pouring fuel additive in was never mentioned to me. I was told by Dan Lynn (Service Consultant) that there would be no extra charges other than the $50 deductible for the CPO warranty. I contacted Don Rasmussen (Service Manager) as I was unhappy with not being notified of the charge, Don said I was 100% notified of the charge, not true. If I knew about it, I definitely would not have had them do the work. I am 19 years old and this is the first car I have purchased and I feel they have taken advantage of me. That is the reason behind my 1 star for this dealership, be careful. More
