On June 29, my seat track broke after a toy got stuck under it. I couldn't get an appointment until Thursday, July 2. Because the seat wouldn't move, I had to drive there with a pillow behind my back just to safely reach the pedals. I was forced to sign an agreement to pay a $200 diagnostic fee upon arrival. Despite King Acura advertising loaner cars for customers who purchased vehicles from them, I was flatly denied one with the rep saying they didn’t have any. This was after I explained how far I had driven and I had a previously scheduled doctor’s appointment. Because of this, my 86-year-old mother had to drive to pick me up so I wouldn't miss the appointment. At 1:30 PM, my advisor told me it would cost $2,000 for the part and $900 for labor. I felt trapped and had no choice but to agree. Today, 6 days later, I was hit with a $3,200 total bill. The car was not ready when promised. When I complained, I was repeatedly given the excuse that they were "short-handed," completely ignoring that I had to drive an hour each way to Hoover twice. To top it off, the receptionist was incredibly unfriendly, and my emails to both the Service Manager and Customer Service Manager went completely ignored. The drop-off in quality from the sales department to this service department is shocking. I am incredibly disappointed and feel entirely taken advantage of. More

I’ve bought every car I’ve owned from King Acura since moving to Birmingham in 1993. For the past two years I’ve been amazed at how ABYSMAL their service department has been both in terms of servicing my moving to Birmingham in 1993. Just to name a few examples: 1) my last service visit, King Acura said my brake pads were metal on metal. But they couldn’t fit me in for 2weeks. So I took it to Rob’e Mans that very day and they replaced brake pads AND pointed out several other problems that King Acura had failed to uncover. 2) Honda Motors sent a recall notice for a fuel injector directing me to contact my local dealership. When I called King Acura two weeks ago, they said they wouldn’t have the part for 2 weeks. I called yesterday and they said it would be May 2025 before they could replace the part. I asked to speak to a manager…they transferred the call to a line that rang for 2 minutes before a recorded message said to leave a message. For the FOURTH time in six months, no one has returned my call. 3) After returning home from a service visit 1 year ago, I noticed a yellow circle on one of my tires. They had circled a nail that was in the tire, but failed to tell me about it. 4) when I picked up my car from a service visit 18 months ago, my key fob was missing. They insisted I hadn’t left the key fob with the car. Perhaps most exasperating of all is the fact that they DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS!!! More
I always thought of this dealer and brand as bullet-proof. I received a recall in January. Went in they said "no Parts". Checked four more times. Finally got on the schedule for August. Took the car in for scheduled maintenance and four new tires ($1400 package). Made the appointment month in advance. When I arrived service rep wanted to know what I needed done. Left car there for two days and while there I received email from sales rep wanting to know if I was interested in new car. I said sure. Went in at 9AM to discuss with sales Rep, he said "I have a 10:30 (not sure what he was doing between 9 and 10:30) appointment" so he would call me after that, Never heard from him. Long story short, I went in and they couldn't find my car nor keys. Sales rep forgot to show me "new car" and told me it was not very smart to pay $1400 for repairs if I wanted to trade. He did finally give me some "numbers" but didn't even show me the car. I told him I was on my way to talk to Audi and his reply was "be careful, their scheduled maintenance is very expensive". Next day he sent me a message, "you still interested?" This could have been my FIFTH new Acura but instead it was the last time I will ever darken their doors . More

Acura brand has been in our family for 33 years, 31 of them with King Acura. we purchased 3 vehicles from King Acura (the OG was from GA when we lived there) and have used King for all service on 4 differ them with King Acura. we purchased 3 vehicles from King Acura (the OG was from GA when we lived there) and have used King for all service on 4 different Acuras. Recently while performing a service on our oldest Acura, it was returned to us with a large crack in the windshield. It took the service manager one week to respond and his response amounted to "so what, too bad and not my issue." 31 out of 33 years with this group, so much money spent there and this is how they choose to treat long standing customers. Highly recommend others find another place to purchase and service their vehicle if in the market for or currently own an Acura. You will not be valued here. More

Second worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in 20 years of dealing with service departments. The customer greeter in the service department was aggressive, short with answers and made sure there w 20 years of dealing with service departments. The customer greeter in the service department was aggressive, short with answers and made sure there was tons of attitude in those answers towards me and the customer behind me. After calling corporate Acura I found out that the information she gave me was wrong as well. This was the first and last time I will step foot on King Acura’s property. They may be a great dealership to buy from, but their service greeter has zero customer service or communication skills. More
They have on their website that their service department is until 6pm, but they service until 5pm. They have poor customer service when they communicate to you.
