My priority for the cargo van I bought was to get the precise options I wanted. Koons delivered perfectly, for a fair price, and beat the schedule. I used the USAA auto buying service to get a price quote for the Savana van I wanted. Koons, Ourisman, and Lindsay were listed as participating dealers. Koons and Ourisman sent me emails. I knew I would need to special order from the factory to get the features I wanted. The biggest dealership has the most pull for spcial orders, so I went to Koons. As soon as Ruben Perez knew he was in over his head, as far as all the special options that are available for cargo vans, he pulled in his boss John Cribben and both of them gave me undivided attention while we sorted through the various options and combinations. During the final review before placing the order, John's meticulous attention to detail caught an error in one of the option codes that would have been a disaster. The vehicle arrived within 2 days of their forecast, and Ruben delivered it to my house--very convenient for me. Everything was exactly as ordered, and Koons threw in a full 31-gallon tank of gas! The titling and licensing dept got my special order plates for no extra charge and I had the license plates and official title within 10 days. The dealership let me ship customizing parts from 3rd party companies to their parts dept; the use of their commercial address saved me $150 in shipping charges for the RV awning and conversion top. my wife and I have enjoyed the advanced features of this large SUV. It meets and exceeds all of our requirements for a growing family like ours. It is the perfect SUV - handling like a smaller vehicle and l large SUV. It meets and exceeds all of our requirements for a growing family like ours. It is the perfect SUV - handling like a smaller vehicle and large enough to tow around a large family and friends. We would purchase this vehicle again at Koons Tysons dealership. More
From the minute we entered the dealership (with young children i might add) the sales team was patient, knowledgeable and just downright nice. Funny, straight forward and honest. Could not have asked for children i might add) the sales team was patient, knowledgeable and just downright nice. Funny, straight forward and honest. Could not have asked for a better experience. Not pushy at all until we were unhappy about the trade in price (one always has higher hopes...) and were worried that we got in over our head on the price. But they worked with us to make the deal happen for end of month dealership numbers. No other dealership that we visited -- including other GMC and german companies -- were nearly as nice and helpful. A+ Koons. Best selection too i might add, even though we ended up custom ordering because we didn't need things like GPS and DVD that seem to be standard these days. More
Having spent many hours at Koons to lease a Chevy, making it a horrible experience. Salesman that does not listen, Finance manager that lies and paperwork that takes months to complete. Told one price for th it a horrible experience. Salesman that does not listen, Finance manager that lies and paperwork that takes months to complete. Told one price for the car, sales agreement has a higher price, "they forgot the credit union discount." Promised a complimentary service agreement, was charged for it, then recanted when caught in the lie. The combination of incompetence, lack of attention to detail and outright dishonesty makes dealing with Koons an exasperating experience, stay away. More
I visited this dealer on Saturday April 18, 2009 to look at a 2009 Cobalt. I asked them for the 'out the door' price of the car and received one in writing. I looked at other cars and decided to buy the Cob at a 2009 Cobalt. I asked them for the 'out the door' price of the car and received one in writing. I looked at other cars and decided to buy the Cobalt. I called them on Wednesday April 22nd and told the sales person that I would be there on Friday April 24th around 6:30 pm to get the car. I arrived there and saw that the car was out front. The sales person was there. Two hours later someone finally showed up to do the paperwork on what was a cash transaction for the dealer, since I didn't finance the car through them. The price on the sales receipt was different from the 'out the door price' I had received from the sales person. Now, that price was only an estimate. The difference was not large but to me a price given in writing is not an estimate. Time will tell if I will tell my friends to buy a Cobalt. But I will not recommend that they go to Koons of Tysons Corner to buy it. More
Thanks for all the informative comments, we are in the market for a new Arcadia ..... we will NOT be purchasing at Koons of Tysons. We have looked at all the GMC dealers in the Fairfax area, seems Leesbu market for a new Arcadia ..... we will NOT be purchasing at Koons of Tysons. We have looked at all the GMC dealers in the Fairfax area, seems Leesburg GMC has the lowest pressure, most informed sales people, since it is a GMC product we will be getting to know the service department! My family and I have bought at least 5 new and used cars from them over the years and have been very pleased each time. They are an honest dealership (which is hard to find), fair in price, and always willi from them over the years and have been very pleased each time. They are an honest dealership (which is hard to find), fair in price, and always willing to work with us when purchasing a 30k car or 5k car. I would feel safe sending my grandma to purchase without getting taking for. More
Went in to purchase a new Corvette Convertible for my father. The salesman spent no more than 20 minutes with us because he had 2 other deals working at the same time, and there were several salespeople father. The salesman spent no more than 20 minutes with us because he had 2 other deals working at the same time, and there were several salespeople that had no since it was a weekday afternoon. Fortunately, we pretty much knew what my father wanted in the car. The only thing was that he wasn't sure if he wanted the silver with charcoal gray top, which was at Koons or if he liked the LeMans Blue with the tan top, which was at a dealership in MD. that we had already received their best price. After doing the ritual back to the manager with the "if I can get my manager to let this go at that price will you buy it today?" After a few rounds of this and 3 1/2 hours passing by because we were interrupting him delivering 2 other cars, we decided to pass on the Koons vette and go get the Lemans Blue one in Maryland. That's when just about everyone in the dealership had the time to sit and talk to us. We explained that the other car had options that theirs did not. The Sales Manager went and got a large 3 ring binder with factory ordering numbers of standard equip.,options, equipment groups, etc. and showed us that they were both equipped the same, the only difference being the colors. That's when the Sales Manager came down drastically on the price and my father could live with having his 2nd choice in color for the large difference in prices. So after arriving at the lot at 12:30 we were ready to go into the Business Managers office at a little after 8:00 p.m. After signing the paperwork and the check we drove the car off the lot. Two days later my father received a phone call from the salesman at the MD dealership to see if he was still interested in his vette. My father explained what had happened and across as upset with the MD salesman, when the salesman told my father that the people at Koons "misled" him because his car did in fact have more options on it then the one he purchased at Koons.Needless to say my father was both embarrassed and irate. When we went in to confront the people at Koons the GSM said that it must have been a simple case of miscommunication. They were not willing to undo the deal.A few days later a Customer Satisfaction Manager contacted my father to offer a few free oil changes for the misunderstanding. We contacted everyone and anyone in the Koons organization, Chevrolet, General Motors, government agencies, etc. just to be turned away at every turn.So what was supposed to be my father getting his dream car to waking to a nightmare having to look at his dream car sitting in his garage. I would rather drive around in a '77 Pinto than get a free car from Koons. More
Early this year I decided it was time to purchase a new vehicle. After doing research on many Toyotas, Hondas, and BMW's, I concluded that I was going to purchase a Pontiac Solstice. The only question wo vehicle. After doing research on many Toyotas, Hondas, and BMW's, I concluded that I was going to purchase a Pontiac Solstice. The only question would be where I would buy it from. After shopping several different vehicles and dealerships, I am happy to say that I purchased my vehicle from the wonderful team at J.Koons Pontiac Buick GMC in Vienna, Va. My sales consultant, J.C., was very patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to undertand all my needs and was very courteous. His manager, Carlos, was a class act and was refreshing to do business with. I recommend that anyone looking for a vehicle contact this dealership. Job well done!!! More
I bought my car from 5 states away over the phone. I had done significant research from other local dealerships, but none qould give me a price as low as quoted from Koons on the first phone call.
