Hello TEVANS8...I am glad we were able to help your grandson out. It has always been our policy to offer extended coverage to our consumers so they may protect their investment. In this instance, because your relative was purchasing a high mileage truck, we stressed the importance of purchasing such a plan so if he were to have any issue, then he would have the warranty coverage, so he would not have to come out of pocket for a repair. We even shared the cost for average repair expenses during the 1st year of ownership for those who do not purchase any protection. You persuaded the actual buyer to NOT purchase the coverage for his truck after we urged him to 3, or 4 times. I understand you may feel a little guilty over telling him not to purchase the coverage and then he ended up with a problem, but your displaced anger is inappropriate in a public forum and does not shed a positive light on you. We cannot be held accountable for your decision to advise someone else on how to protect, or not protect their property. The GM who you gave 2 stars, went over and above covering $3,000 of the repairs for the truck, and over allowed on the trade value so we could help him trade into another truck with lower mileage and this time he didn't listen to you...he did buy extended coverage which means he now has peace of mind protection. When your grandson left this time he was extremely happy, so your feedback here is completely discredited, though we do understand your frustration...it has not been a picnic for us either.
