While our 2012 MINI Cooper S is a fun and exciting car to drive, it has been a terrible car to own. Components that rarely or never fail on other cars have failed in less than 50,000 miles. The total cost of individual repairs for seals, belts, pulleys, housings, and electronics has reached five figures and counting. So, this latest visit was more of the same – a nearly $700 cost to replace a water pump pulley, not a pulley assembly but just a pulley wheel – at 48,000 miles. Although this is a performance vehicle, it is driven at modest speeds around town and on trips. More
I came in for a tire pressure sensor issue and Hector Limon-Salceda was able to get it fixed quickly. Just got back from the dealer after dropping my car off to get a new battery. They checked it over and told me I didn't need a new battery and let me go without charging me anything.
